“Do I?”

“Maybe something. What can you come up with?”

Pauly looked around at the other people in the room. “I could probably come up with something. Did the last stuff work?”

“Like a charm. Check out the number one.” She tried not to stare into his eyes, but hoping he’d get the code.

He nodded. “Think so?”

“Maybe. Just a hunch.” She sat back. At that minute, the two-year-old started crying loudly and everyone’s attention focused in that direction. The guard walked by behind her, attention on the youngster and her mother.

Pauly sighed. “Must be hard. Both on the mother and the kid.”

Cam nodded. “Glad it’s not me.”

“If you had a kid, you wouldn’t be here.”

Cam looked at him and smiled, ironically. “Right.” Then she remembered and leaned forward a bit. “Listen, I need a little money. About two hundred dollars. Will you ask Maggie to deposit it into my account here? For next week?”

Pauly looked at her with raised eyebrows.

Cam smiled. “Tell Maggie it’s a business expense.”
