When Meng Xiao woke up in the morning, she found something odd about Yang Yi.
It wasn't really odd, he just seemed a bit younger than the day before.
He was dressed in a black hoodie and jeans, his hair smooth and falling naturally, a stark contrast to his stern, well-suited figure from yesterday.
"Xiaoxiao, you're awake?" Yang Yi smiled.
He looked radiant, like a college freshman. It was as if they had been transported back to their dating days, when they were both students, before all the hurtful exchanges took place.
"How about we go on a date today?" Yang Yi suggested, "Just the two of us."
"Aren't dates supposed to be for two people? Are we supposed to bring a third person?" Meng Xiao retorted.
Yang Yi suddenly realized his unfortunate choice of words, but instead of explaining, he just chuckled.
"No, we must bring one extra person now." Yang Yi gently touched Meng Xiao's growing belly and whispered, "Let's go, son. Daddy will take you and mommy out."
