Military Pirates I

They hid behind the room's desk. The drone was still roaming outside the window.

"What the fuck is going on Ryker?" Leon whispered.

"When I landed on earth I was fished off the ocean by some pirates. Military Pirates. The drones are weaponized with machine guns and missiles." Ryker whispered back.

Eva was shaking rapidly, scared to death.

"Landed? Military Pirates, are you kidding me?... what's next, the aquanizer is dead!?" Leon wondered.

"Wait, you know them?" Ryker asked in a chilly tone.

"Huh, know them? of course not. You sound silly, 'Military Pirates' ha-ha. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I wouldn't have picked you up at the beachfront if I knew you were trouble." Leon was irritated.

"Well, I only heard of them a few decades ago, pirates with military-grade weapons. It's said even the government can't mess with them. I thought they were only urban legends." Eva finally spoke up and composed herself.

"Come on, how come I didn't know anything about this?" Leon felt confused.

"Huh, clearly, she's smart. Anyway, we're in this mess together now. Do you guys have any hidden escape rooms or weapons to fight back?" Ryker asked apprehensively.

"Unfortunately, we don't have secret passages in the mansion. It was just recently constructed for the honeymoon…?" Leon was interrupted by Eva.

"Well, babe, don't forget. This was my grandparent Island for nosferatu meetings in the previous centuries. Underground tunnels run around the Island leading to caves and waters falls within the Island. It used to be a safe passage, especially during wars between the vampire bloodlines and hierarchy levels and so as our nemesis the werewolves. They weren't on the plans of the mansion." Eva said fretfully as Leon looked at her with disbelief. Leon felt betrayed as he had never been told this before.

"You'll deal with your quarrel later. Where's the nearest escape route?"

"Right down, the hall in the kitchen below the dumb waiter. We can use the dumb waiter in your office, to get down to the kitchen faster." Eva said in a gentle tone as she addressed Leon directly.

Suddenly they heard gunshots and struggles and screams outside.

"Fuck!" Eva panicked.

"They must have taken out the guards," Leon said in a concerned voice.

"I can feel them closing in, ten to twenty heavy-built armed men. We need to move, now!" Ryker screamed out.

"How do you know that? Anyway, my office is this way."

Leon led the way as they run, sneaking out of the room. They kept their heads down.
