Chapter 23

“Ray! Look who is here!” I was brought out of my peaceful nap by Nao. She was getting inside the room with Balfer and Shawn behind her. Shawn had a basket in his left hand and flowers in his right. Balfer had a fruit basket with him. They both smiled at me and came and stood near my bed.

“Look who finally decided to come out of hibernation,” Balfer said mockingly and I glared at him with narrowed eyes.

“Oh stop it. Will you?” said Nao and playfully smacked his arms. I felt weird at that gesture. What all did I miss?

“How are you feeling now Ray?” asked Shawn.

“I am feeling better,” I replied.

“Thank God!” he exclaimed. I couldn’t help but smile at him.
