Out Of Place: A Reality Bender In A Cultivation World

A man peers into the abyss. But what he finds, wasn't what he expected. "Cultivation can suck my dick. I can manipulate reality!" "The hell do you mean 'Dual Cultivation'! I barely know you!" "Yeah yeah, your great gramps will come back from the dead to kick my ass 'cause I kicked yours. Prick." "That was sarcasm! You tsundere!" Follow a Reality Bender on a quest to find his way through this new world. Preferably with a girlfriend. Or more, he isn't really picky. --- A/N: This was something I thought to try after writing for more than three months. So I thought, hey, why not do a cultivation book, but with a normal everyday dude instead of a masochist?

A Blind Query

{???}

Warm, yet Cold.

Dark, yet Light.

Good, yet Evil.

The Void is something that should not be peered upon by man. Yet he does so anyway, just to prove them wrong.

The void does not discriminate, as all those that venture here are returned to their basic blocks, Ven.

Ven is the building block of the Multiverse, shapeless energy without form. When a Verse is being created, natural or man-made, it draws upon Ven.

It's what makes Creation Gods so feared, and why this energy should never be in the hands of a mere mortal. It would drive them to Insanity.

Something that would drive any normal cultivator to flee back to their sects in fear.

But…

But what if this mortal was already insane?

What if he claimed these powers by pure chance?

What if…

No, no use in dwelling on the past…

This… is the story of the Realist, The Emperor, The Gate Guardian.

"Okay… Hey Danny! You got the actuators situated yet?!" I yelled to my assistant who was fiddling with the inner workings of the Chevron Gateway.

The Chevron Gateway was something me and Danny have been working on for the past five years, using Chevron's Void Theory.

"Almost! Guh… damn this thing is heavy…" Dan shouted back, before finally fastening them in place, "Yep! They're in!"

I looked over to the clock, it read 12:52 at midnight.

Danny was making his way back to the control room through the staircase. When he got close enough, I started talking to him.

"Hey Dan, you should probably start heading home. Your girlfriends probably worried sick." I said, though he gave me a confused look before asking me a question, "What time is it anyway?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

"...past midnight," I told him. His face paled.

"Ah shit… AH, SHIT! MIRANDA'S GONNA KICK MY ASS! I GOTTA GO! SEE YA TOMORROW ISSAC!" He bellowed, sprinting down the now empty hallway to the front door, hoping to not get his ass beat by his girlfriend.

"Ah… young love… Tch." Look, a man can be petty whenever he wants alright! I'm twenty-seven and I've never been in a relationship, alright?!

"I… I should probably start shutting down for the night…" I muttered to myself. I fiddled with my necklace, something I've had with me since I was a kid.

From what I could tell. The closest crystal I could associate with this was a Black Onyx crystal. Although, It seemed to swallow any light on it.

It was more Vantablack than a Dark grey.

Still don't know why I felt a sense of dread whenever I wasn't wearing it for longer than two minutes.

Strange…

Sorry, tangent. I walked over to the Gateway, leaning down to the open panel before I heard something that made my heart drop.

*Bzt-Burst!*

A sound that I've only heard in my nightmares.

"Oh, shit..." I muttered, cold sweat rolling down my back.

Its electronics started flickering on and off before it activated. A crack in space, revealing what I could only think of as a flat black hole.

"What… Wha the hell?!" I yelled as some kind of glowing blue particles started spewing from the malfunctioning gateway.

I watched as one of them touch my necklace before It started glowing a bright blue.

The last thing I could see was the Blind Eternity before everything was engulfed in a bright blue glow.

{The Blind Eternities}

As Issac was sent flying through the gateway between realities, his mind was comprehending the manipulation of reality, his consciousness asleep, leaving only the most basic of instincts.

To learn.

And learn it did, and after what seemed like an eternity drifting through the void, his presence caught someone's interest.

"Interesting…" The figure said to himself, his fanciful robes waving in a nonexistent wind. "Just maybe…" He started muttering to himself before he moved his hands, and Issac started drifting to the left, before entering what seemed to be a bright galaxy, exerting a strange pressure.

"Maybe this one will be more entertaining than the last… Did the servants get groceries from the market?" He started talking to himself.

But Issac's subconscious, in an effort to protect itself from whatever touched it, in one last act of defiance, grabbed a clump of Ven, before flying into the galaxy.

I could hear the wind rushing through my ears, "What the fuck?" i muttered to myself, but it was muted by the fact I WAS IN THE FUCKING SKY!

"WHAT THE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" I started screaming. I couldn't tell if I was dreaming, or the portal worked properly, but I could see a strange world below me.

With floating mountains, cities in the sky, and sprawling forests.

And Two Moons?!

~*Hey!*~

Great, now I'm hearing shit while I fall to my death…

I could really use a parachute right no-...

~*Huh?!*~

When did I get a parachute?! You know what, don't think about it, think when you get on solid ground!

...

After some maneuvering, and having to dodge several large birds, I landed in a clearing surrounded by a forest

I took the parachute off, before falling to my knees.

"Oh sweet merciful ground, how I missed you…" I muttered quietly, all the tension from earlier leaving my body.

~*Never thought my chosen inheritor would act so lowly.*~ A feminine voice rang through my ears like honey. Naturally, I had to snark her.

"Well sorry lady, but I like living-… wait…-! Who're you!?" I screamed, before locking eyes with the floating (Floating?!) lady.

Now, I could go on a tangent about how 'Her beauty could slay mountains and her skin was like jade', and all that. Bit she was hot. No need to lengthen that.

She swished her hair behind her, and started speaking.

~* I, am the great Chyou Ai, a Grand Realm Cultivator that has been looking for an inheritor for the last one-hundred years, and you, cultivator, fit that to a T! Rejoice, youn-*~

"I'm sorry lady, but what the hell do you mean 'Cultivator'? Last time I checked, I was a normal dude!" I interrupted her. She did not look amused.

~*I've enchanted the Moonlit Jade necklace to always find its most compatible host. Most of the time, they would die as children so other people would steal my techniques.*~

~*But you, young man, have been the only one to make it past adulthood. How would you not be a cultivator otherwise?*~ she deadpanned.

God, I could really use a chair right now, before I plopped into the chair conveniently behind me.

Wait. What.

"What the hell?!" I jumped back up from the plastic chair I sat in, whipping around to stare at it like it was some kind of alien.

~*What's wrong, inheritor?*~

"Well... that chair wasn't there before until I thought 'God, I could really use a chair right now'. It happened with the Parachute as well..." I turned to look her in the eyes.

"You seem like you know what's going on. Mind spillin'?"

Hehe Reality manipulation go BRRRR-

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
