"I am so late! Boss will really kill me this time!"Enzo shouted as he turned around the corner. "Aah!

Sorry..." he bumped into a few colleagues.

The papers in his hand fell down and he bent to pick them all. "You little dog! How dare you bump into me!" shouted one of them.

He looked at them and thought, "Why did I have to bump into wolves?"

A man from behind named Kendric came forward and grabbed him by his tie. "I need coffee in my office right now. You better not be late, doggie." he said and threw Enzo on the ground.

They all started laughing. "Kendric, Boss has called you to his office. He wants you there fast." Lexin said walking into the scene.

"The Blood-Sucking fucker always interrupts the fun." Kendric mumbled and walked away.

"See you later, doggie!" One of them shouted and they all left.

"Are you okay?" Lexin asked. "Thanks, man." Enzo said smiling.

Lexin helped him to pick all the papers. "What are these?" He asked. "Some stupid documents boss wanted me to bring as fast as possible." Enzo answered.

"Oh.. You know boss didn't call Kendric in his office." Lexin said as they started walking. "Huh?! So.. So that means you lied to them?" Enzo asked as he widened his eyes. "I had to or they wouldn't have let you go." Lexin said stretching.

"They might trouble you if they find out that you lied." he said.

"Calm down. They exchanged strength for brains. No way, they will be able to find me even if they got to know the truth." Lexin said smiling.

"Be careful though. Thanks anyways. I can go by myself from here. See ya afterwards." he said and left.

"Bye." Lexin said and walked to the lift.

Lexin started explaining "This is how the world is. Scientists from about 500 years back (Currently, it is the year 3000) experimented on some kind of species called 'humans'. Humans were our ancestors. And we, hybrids, are their descendants. I don't know how hybrids emerged in detail but I think Scientists lauched some kinds of rockets everywhere which had some gas. That gas was responsible for the birth of hybrids all over the world. Only a few things were taught to us about our past. Every hybrid born in this world has to go through a machine process at the age of 5-6 years. This machine then scans the body and assigns them with suitable beast names. Hybrids are broadly classified into two types- Superiors and Inferiors.

They are further classified as-

Superiors:

1. Vampires- Identified by fangs and red eyes (only when they suck blood)

2. Tigers- Identified by orange-blackish hair on the head.

3. Wolves- Identified by their fighting skills, ears and tails.

4. Deers- Identified by their surreal beauty (pretty eyes, small nose and amazing figure)

Inferiors:

1. Bears- Identified by innocence and a little hair on hands.

2. Snake- Identified by green eyes and patches of scales on their legs.

3. Dogs- Identified by loyalty and dog-like ears.

4. Cats- Identified by whiskers.

My father is a dog beast while my mother is a cat beast. I am a cat. Yes, the most Inferior ones. Actually, that is what the machine assigned me with because of some error. I have pretty black eyes just like my mother, a small nose and orange-blackish hair at the ends, am good at fighting unlike the other cat beasts and in the office I am known (bullied) for my innocence. But to be safe from dangerous scientists, my parents lied about the error and disguised me as a cat. So, my whiskers are completely fake. They had to dye my hair black like the rest of our family. That was enough to fool everyone. Even Enzo doesn't know that about me. He is a dog beast as you saw earlier.

And then there is the system I hate the most. The Inferiors are the source of blood for the vampires. My parents have many times been a prey of those ill-mannered vampires.

And the worst thing, I work in a company that is run by two vampire twins! They are quite dangerous even though I haven't met them (thankfully)."

"Lexin! Snap out of it! We have to finish this or our boss might get fired." Alden said.

"I hope he gets fired honestly. That guy just knows how put pressure on us." Lexin said. Alden looked at him with disbelieving eyes.

Lexin noticed him staring and said, "Ok, my friend, calm yourself down. We are almost finished with it. Tomorrow is the deadline. In case we don't finish this by 6 o'clock, we'll stay up all night. No need to worry much." Lexin said sitting on his chair.

"You are right. Let's try to finish this by 6. I don't where that girl is." he said.

"Who? May?" Lexin asked.

"Yes, she hasn't come back. She told she wanted an energy drink and went to get one about an hour ago." he explained holding his forehead.

"Haha! Maybe she fell asleep somewhere. I mean she is a cat after all." Lexin said as he opened his laptop and connected some wires. "Whatever. We need to a new memory chip for this. Can you get one?" he asked

"Yeah, sure." Lexin said handling a small screwdriver to Alden.

Lexin entered the store and started finding a memory chip for his product. "MT18... GP00.. I need BX12.. Where is it?" he mumbled by himself.

"Not there in this aisle. Maybe the next one." he thought.

He hummed his favourite tune walking and banging random boxes. As he turned, he saw a man lying against the wall.

"Not a good place to be napping, person." he said. And then he went closer to the man.

"Hi? You there? Go sleep somewhere else and let me do my work." he said and touched his head.

Suddenly, the man grabbed his hand and pulled him.
