Soul Pact (II)

"I have decided... I will form a soul pact with you," said Luctudeus.

He had thought a lot about this, and although being bonded to a puny little human was, by all means, an awful fate to suffer, it was better than the alternative- spending the rest of his days in this accursed realm.

"Good," Hade responded, standing up.

"You've made the right choice."

"Tch!" Luctudeus scoffed but then paused, as if expecting more from him.

"Is that all you have to say?" he scowled, his silvery-white eyebrows arching up in displeasure.

To be honest, Hade's reaction was not at all what he expected it to be. In fact, he had expected the boy to be jumping for the ceiling right about now.

"What else is there to say?" Hade shrugged, his blank face reflecting his true inner emotions.

"I mean, it's not like you are doing me any favors. This is purely a business transaction, and let's face it, you probably need me much more than I need you anyway."
