Hade spent another 30 minutes discussing the terms of his deal with Darla before finally exiting the room.
"You look better than I anticipated," commented the leader of the Violet Vanguard when he came out.
"You underestimated me," Hade replied, not even trying to mince his words.
Nanya scoffed derisively in response but still chose to keep her silence. She knew better than to argue with some sheltered, naive urchin who still knew nothing about the harsh and unforgiving ways of the world.
