The mentorship program of the Five Imperial Schools was a sacred and time-honored tradition that bound together the most esteemed professors of the magical laws with young, aspiring practitioners.

Students showing tremendous potential were presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... to learn directly from the very best gurus magic law education had to offer.

Selected students or 'mentees,' as they were commonly referred to, were not required to attend class or specialist lectures.

No, the program bestowed upon the mentor the full responsibility of not only safeguarding the student's well-being, but also taking complete control over the fostering of their growth as a magic practitioner.

At its core, the mentorship program emphasized the belief that the only way to ensure that magic thrived and flourished for generations to come, was through a conduit between old and new… a special bond via which arcane knowledge could be imparted without reserve.
