OPPPOSITE POLES (BL)

Scott and Reed are the heroes of my story. They are totally different in every aspect, like sexuality, upbringing, education, financial and family status, and so on. The only matching personality they had was never giving up. Scott was a billionaire and CEO; on the other hand, Reed was an ordinary employee working in his company. Whenever they were facing each other, they would always end up fighting and eventually hating each other. The odds of both of them ending up together were zero; destiny had its own plan. Please find out by reading my novel.

CHAPTER 6

I was already fed up with Simon being added to this new CEO. He was one of his friends. Just what I required at this moment—quitting no, never. In the past, I would always give up so easily. If I repeated the same thing, there would be no future for me, nor could I fulfill my dreams.

For a few days, Simon was too busy with Scott, meetings, and providing our performance report with everything. For a few days, I left the office on time. It was already the weekend. I received a call from James asking if I could lend a hand on the weekend as there was a shortage of staff and I needed extra cash, so I agreed immediately.

It was my weekend. I went to the restaurant, and it was fully packed. I didn't know when time flew by; it was already evening. James would always make sure I had dinner before leaving the restaurant. After having dinner around 9 p.m., I left the restaurant. It was early, so I thought of going to a nearby bar just to relax, but I was lucky; a handsome guy approached me. So, after all, this weekend didn't go in vain. We both spent the night in my apartment.

The next day was Sunday, and I again had to work at the restaurant. I made it in time, and I was so busy serving. I didn't notice when Scott and his friends came in; on top of that, I was the one assigned to take orders. Wow, speak about my faith.

With a cheerful face, I went to take orders. I greeted them. When I saw their faces, I was shocked to see Scott. The first thought that came to my mind was to run, but again, where? Only once we met would he remember my face. There were high chances of 'no', so why should I panic? Then I met Scott's eyes; he was staring. I came back to my usual senses, took their orders, and made my way towards the kitchen.

Shit, shit, shit, bloody hell. There were so many restaurants; he had to come to this restaurant too when I was doing work. It's not like I am doing anything illegal or anything; still, can I work this way when I am already employed? When I was thinking of pros and corn, Scott's table order was ready. I took the same order to serve them. He didn't speak to me the whole time, thank God.

After reaching my apartment, I debated whether he remembered my face. What he could ask me tomorrow and what I should answer by googling a few things I had prepared for tomorrow's battle.

It was Monday. As usual, I got ready and went to work. After reaching, I was doing my work. The first half of my day went only with work; nothing came from Scott nor from Simon. I was relieved, and after having lunch, I continued doing my work.

I received a call from Scott, and I was called to his cabin. Ok, he does remember me. I made my way to his cabin, and on permission, he was doing some work. After a few minutes, he saw me and spoke, "Mr. Walker, you are working for a reputable company and also working as a waiter. Seriously, do you have any explanation?" "Mr. Mathew, it is not my regular job. I was helping out, and I am not doing any illegal things. I know an employee can't work for two companies; it was only a part-time job, not a regular one." "So, what you are trying to imply is that what you are doing is correct—working for a well-known company and as a waiter." "I am not getting what is wrong with that; so many employees are doing multiple jobs for survival. The only thing that matters to the company is whether I am doing it during working hours and whether I am doing it legally or illegally. As you saw, it was a normal job, right?" "Hmmm, you like rules; let's play accordingly. I am giving you two options if you want to work in this company: quit that waiter role or else quit this job choice is yours". "You are not serious, right? Why do I have to choose? I am not working regularly." give a fuck about his part-time job if he had given a bloody explanation in a polite way rather than talking about bloody rules. "Because it is my company and my fucking rules, the choice is yours, Mr. Walker."

I regretted the way I behaved with him at our first meeting. Simon had told me so many things about this guy that I shouldn't have taken personally. The sole reason for calling was to talk about it and discuss why he was working over there, but this jerk turned this entire scenario around. Why do I feel like he is always getting on everyone's nerves? Based on what happened just now, at least I could guess that. I would not give a fuck about his part-time job if he had given a bloody explanation in a polite way rather than talking about bloody rules.

"OK, I will stop working in the restaurant," I said, exiting his cabin. What a jerk! What was his exact problem? Is this a serious issue? I bet as a CEO, he got many things on his plates; mine was that major to make such a big fucking issue, bastard.

After that, I came back to my desk and started working. Top-level employees had decided to throw a party to welcome our new CEO in the usual venue, and the timing was conveyed through the mail. Simon came and announced that everyone had to attend this party without fail. While saying the last part, he was particularly eyeing me. That put me in a 'dilemma' about whether to go or not. On the other hand, I didn't want to give Simon any reason where he could target me easily, and I didn't want to be questioned in his cabin for this silly thing. I decided to stay for a few hours and then leave without getting noticed by anyone.
