"Seow Seow, what are you looking at? Did that doll run outside?" I stood next to Seow Seow, peering into the yard for quite a while but didn't spot a thing, so I asked.
"Seow Seow? What are you looking at..." Thinking she hadn't heard me, I asked again, only to be cut off as Seow Seow suddenly turned around and grabbed my injured arm. Thankfully, the basin filled with saline solution was rather light, and I was holding it with just one hand. If I had been using both hands, I probably would have dropped it by now.
I inhaled sharply and shouted at Seow Seow, "What are you doing, Seow Seow? It hurts!"
Just after I shouted, I realized something was wrong, because when I looked into Seow Seow's eyes, I found them once again devoid of any spirit, utterly hollow, just like when she had a blade in her hand ready to stab Wang Duo.
Was she under the control of that spirit again? That was my first reaction upon noticing Seow Seow's gaze.
