"Huh, I thought you were mute, but it turns out you can talk, eh? Please don't make these annoying prank calls anymore, okay?" Xiao Hua replied with a mix of anger and forced laughter, politely speaking on the phone. She hoped that by being courteous, she could appeal to the caller's emotions and reason, persuading them to stop making harassing calls.

"Kee kee... Do you know who I am?" came a sentence from the other end of the line finally – a shrill female voice that was quite uncomfortable to listen to.

"Hehe, so may I ask, who are you?" Xiao Hua suppressed the hair-raising voice and communicated with the caller using what she thought was the calmest tone possible.

"Kee kee... Take a look at your bedside."

Beep beep beep... The call had been disconnected. After hanging up, Xiao Hua felt the prank was truly annoying; yet, she subconsciously glanced at her bedside.
