“Sir, are you looking for something??”

Before Tom would raise a question, this time I took the lead in asking the question.

Derek looked at me sternly and then dropped his cigarette as he stepped on it and crushed it menacingly.

“Miss Hood, my car isn’t working, could you give me a ride??” He asked politely making me dumbfounded completely.

Something happened to his car??

So then why his lady friend didn’t drop him??

Why is he asking me for the lift??

“Well, I am all free, Mr. Shepherd, perhaps I can drop you…” Tom stepped forward with a respective offer, making me suck in a cold breath.

Tom and Derek under the same roof??

How would that be??

Before I could start my wild imagination, Derek’s blunt refusal broke my trance.

“Oh, I needed to discuss a few things with Miss Hood regarding the new project…

I thought I could do the multi-tasks…”

He gave a straight tight-lipped smile to Tom which clearly showed that Derek didn’t appreciate his offer at all…
