AMY POV :

“Mother,” I called her out to take her attention and she tilted her head in acknowledgment.

Her expression dropped looking guilty as she got caught by me, but I gave her a smile that softened her features.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this, Mother,

I too wanted to greet Dad.”

I said warmly as I sat beside her and she looked at me stunned.

“Dad?”

“So, what were you looking at, Mother?

Could I also have a look?”

Ignoring her shock, I tried to distract her.

“Yes, yes sure…

Here, see, that’s your third birthday picture, Amy.”

My mother showed me the album and soon she started to reminisce on the days of the past while I listened and gave her small approval, appreciated words.

We spent hours talking, about our past, about us, and then to my father’s soul.

I showed my mother all the agreements to her, I tried to be a good daughter and gave her a keepsake for her life.
