Chapter 158: Level 5

After 'taking care' of Mister 1 and putting him to rest. She made full use of her skills and extended her senses to find Luffy and the rest…but she was unable to find them.

She has been having trouble using her observation haki since they entered the prison and assumed that it was some extra security that was put in place.

'I have detected their location before encountering that Mister 1 guy…they could not have gone that far…'

She then thought about a possibility. Vivi remembers that there is a secret place between levels 5 and 6.

"If she knew that Luffy was here, she would definitely try to contact him…but how do I find that place?..."

Vivi became troubled. Without being able to locate her friends with haki, the only way would be to find them with her normal senses.

After looking around the level for a few minutes, she managed to find one of the holes that lead to level 5, the ones marines use to throw 'stuff' down.

"I may be able to find it if I go down there. "Without hesitation, she jumped into the hole…

She was immediately welcomed by a wave of cold air.

"Ahh!, finally a nice cool breeze!, so refreshing."

Vivi looked down at the level. The layout was similar to level 2 with all the stone bridges and walls. The main difference was that everything was frozen.

She landed at the lowest part of the level, in an area with many cells.

"Oi!, who are you?."

"Yeah!, and how are you outside the cell?"

Two prisoners called out from behind their bars.

Vivi looked at them. Everyone here should be a famous criminal but those two looked very generic.

"Have you seen a small group of people passing through here?"

"People here?..." The older man asked with bafflement. "Other than the ones bringing us food once a week, no one has been here."

"We did hear a commotion coming from the level above. What is going on?!" Asked the other prisoner.

'So, they did not pass through here?...could they have entered Ivankov hideout from level 4?...no, I'm sure it was between the 5 and 6 levels, but maybe they were escorted through a shortcut or something.'

She walked away, ignoring the two prisoners who started to beg her to free them.

"Huh?, other prisoners going around here? Of course not!" A giant prisoner shouted.

'Ugg…this is the fifth cell and still no answers…well, at least this guy did not make any horny comment.' Thought Vivi.

"Come one, show us your tits!. I haven't seen one in so many years!" One of the inmates shouted.

Vivi threw a water bullet to the perv's forehead, knocking him down.

This startled all the prisoners. They shut their mouths and took a few steps back from the bars.

"Nevermind…" She sighed and started to walk away.

"Wait!" A different inmate called.

"I'm not going to show you anything!" Vivi was ready to knock some sense on the guy when he talked again.

"No, please!. Is not that!.... I don't know who you are looking for but I have seen a strange man appear from over there from time to time." He pointed in a direction behind her.

'A strange man?...it could be one of Ivankov's people.'

She thanked the man and left in a hurry.

Once she was far enough, a prisoner got close to the one who had just given Vivi directions.

"That direction that you just sent her… isn't that the way to the wolves' den?"

"Serves her right!" The prisoner started to laugh.

Vivi arrived at an open area with snow and pine trees.

"Why would they put a forest inside the prison? this makes no sense…"

She had noticed the animal presences all around her but kept walking, trying to find some human signature.

The wolves started to howl and came out into the open. There were dozens of them and they looked very hungry.

"You guys are not going to get much food out of me, I'm all water." She told the beasts.

They did not seem to care and decided to rush at her while growling.

Vivi shot over a hundred water bullets out of her body in all directions, hitting all the wolves that had approached her, sending them tumbling down while yelping in pain.

The rest of the wolves stopped growling and stood in place, observing her as she kept walking.

"Huh?...you finally show up." She spoke as a new signature entered her senses.

A figure appeared in front of her. A tall woman with a long coat, half of it was white and the other half was brown. The same design was applied to her hair in order to show her duality. This was Ivankov's commander, Inazuma.

"I am not an enemy, Miss Vivi. I have been waiting for you." She spoke. "Your friends are waiting for you, this way please." She pointed in a direction.

"Very well, lead the way" Vivi answered calmly.

Inazuma stared at Vivi for a moment before speaking again.

"I was expecting a bit more suspicion for my claims."

Vivi smiled at her.

"I am a good judge of character…and I also know when someone is lying to me. Had you done that…we would not be talking right now." She left the threat hand in the air.

"I see…" Inazuma swallowed her saliva. "This way please." She turned around and started to walk.

Vivi followed the revolutionary until they reached a normal-looking wall.

Inazuma then turned one of her hands into giant scissors and cut an opening in the wall, revealing an entrance.

'Ugg…I guess I would never have found the hideout. There was no secret entrance but you had to cut it open.' She thought.

"That's an interesting ability you have," Vivi commented.

The girl smiled at her.

"Thank you, I ate the shear-shear fruit. I can turn my body into all kinds of scissors."

They went down a set of stairs and Vivi saw a big door at the end.

She still remembers vividly the pages that she read many years back. Vivi was anticipating the music, the cheers, food, and ambient of the cabaret that was Ivankov's secret hideout at Impel Down.

Inazuma opened the door, but she heard no music or loud voices.

'What happened here?' Thought Vivi as soon as she entered the room.
