Chapter 2

Peter didn't know what happened after the light became bright. When he tried to know what was happening, he noticed that he could feel pain, different from when he was in space.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked around to see where he was. He first looked around and found a lot of people gathered around him.

He was on an elevated platform, with his hands tied behind him. He turned to his side and found a man with a weird hat and glasses.

He was saying something, but Peter couldn't hear anything due to the headache following some memories. It showed the life of a kid named Alex Mondict.

After a while, the headache decreased and he could hear people around him shouting. He looked at them and they all had angry faces, glaring at Peter.

He knew from the memories he got that he was in the world of One Piece. The man with weird glasses beside him shouted to the crowd "Do you want such a king ruling you?"

"NO" the crowd screams.

"Will you let such a king control your lives?" he said and the crowd again went "NO"

"Today, you can get your freedom by executing this tyrant king." he said and the crowd went "YES!!! Execute him!"

'I understood the situation here. I am born as this noble named Alex Mondict, who is 13 years old. I got the throne to this small kingdom after my father died.

The Mondi kingdom is a small kingdom in the territory of the Frauce Kingdom. After I got the kingdom, I found out that there was an iron mine, which I am pretty sure was discovered by my father and hence killed.

Alex Mondict was intelligent and managed to make the city prosper with the help of the mine and was already making more money than the Frauce Kingdom.

Then today, the revolutionary army attacked the kingdom and decided to execute Alex/me. This is because Alex used slaves and people below poverty line in the mine.

This is getting interesting already. I can tell what is happening and people behind this.' Peter, or Alex said.

He turned to the man with glasses beside him and asked "All this sounds good but, will you take over the kingdom after my death?"

The crowd became silent, as they were curious about his reply. The revolutionary said "No, if I did that, it would be no different from you nobles."

"Then, will you stay here and protect these people?" Alex asked and this made the revolutionary shut his mouth.

Alex continued "Will you protect them from the armies of nobles who want to take over the mines in the land? Will you protect them against the Cipher Pol who are here on the orders of Queen Ban Dedessinée?"

The revolutionary didn't know what to tell, as he knew that he can't take everyone with him and since there is a mine in the kingdom, there will be a lot of forces trying to get this place. This kingdom was also special, as the Alex had designed the whole kingdom such that it could hold 20,000 more people and the defense was also among the best.

That's why it was an important place and gained the attention of many people. Since Alex took care of the information leaving the kingdom, no one had complete information on the kingdom.

The other greedy nobles of the Frauce Kingdom spread rumours that Alex was a tyrant king. That's what led the revolutionary army to attack the kingdom.

Alex's questions calmed down the crowd and made them think of the future after killing them. Alex continued "Although you didn't have a great life in the kingdom, you atleast didn't have a bad life. I don't think you can say the same about the next ruler.

Even if you manage to choose a new leader amongst yourselves and somehow ward off the forces trying to conquer this place, the greed will get to the leader and he will surely become a leader worst than me.

I don't care if you kill me now, as I know that you all will be in great hands and suffer all your life before dying."

Alex used the fear of the unknown to make them think that their next ruler could be worse than Alex. The revolutionary tried to get back the crowd control "You don't know that the leader will be bad. He could be a kind king who will take good care of you." but the crowd had already lost all motivation of fighting.

He tried adding a few more lines, but they couldn't cheer up the crowd. 'Are they usually this late?' Alex thought in his head and immediately he heard an explosion near the port.

Another revolutionary came running to the platform and shouted "The Cipher Pol and the Marines are attacking our ships. We have to leave now. Leave him here and run."

The revolutionary glared at Alex one more before leaving. The crowd was in panic when they heard the explosions. Alex shouted "What are you all standing here for? Go hide."

Everyone started running towards their houses. Alex did this to create a state of chaos, making it easy for him to escape.

With his hands tied to his back, he ran towards a secret tunnel in his courtyard to let him escape. It will take him straight to the outskirts of the kingdom.

When he got out of the tunnel without much trouble, he looked at the kingdom, with smoke and fire at the port. He said "It would have been a wonderful kingdom to rule, but the Frauce Kingdom had to snatch it from me.

If this revolutionary army had delayed their attack by a week, Alex could have made a deal with the Celestial Dragon visiting the kingdom and could have solidified his position in the world government.

I guess the thought of Alex gaining power didn't sit well with the higher ups of the Frauce Kingdom and this came up with this plan. The revolutionary army would get rid of me and the Cipher Pol would get rid of the revolutionary army, delivering this place to the Frauce Kingdom.

I still have to be careful though. They will definitely come after me to make sure I don't come back for the kingdom."

Alex then walked away. He didn't know that there was someone following him as he made his way through the woods behind his kingdom.
