Chapter 31 : Douglas Bullet!!

"Quickly! Hurry up!"

"Don't let them pass!"

In the stairwell, Buggy and his crew had just evaded countless traps before encountering a group of charging jailers.

"Special Macked Bullets: Double Burst!"

Buggy didn't want to waste time on the jailers. He raised his foot, and two cannonballs the size of beans shot out!

"Boom! Rumble!"

Two explosions lit up the sky, engulfing the charging jailers in flames!

Without pausing, Buggy and his three companions continued descending through the fiery aftermath. In just over a minute, they reached the gate to the sixth basement floor.

Mr. 3 quickly stepped forward and unlocked the door with a key made of wax.

Buggy then kicked the door open with a flying kick. This time, however, he didn't rush in immediately. Instead, he took a moment to observe his surroundings.

The appearance of Buggy and his crew caught the attention of all the prisoners on the sixth basement floor. It was the first time they had seen anyone other than prisoners and guards here, and they were momentarily stunned.

"Hey, hey, am I seeing things? Did someone really break in here?"

"Ah, they aren't jailers! I recognize that big-faced man—it's Ivankov, a revolutionary army officer! No doubt about it!"

"Hahaha, if that's true, are they here to break us out? Hey, brother, I don't know who you are, but let us out too!"

"Yeah! Let us out!"

The prisoners gathered in front of the bars, shouting at Buggy. The spirits of these prisoners were entirely different from those in the previous layers; each one seemed fiercer than the last.

Ivankov looked at Buggy and asked, "Buggy, what's the plan now?"

Buggy brushed the dust off his shoulder and replied, "First, get rid of all the surveillance Den Den Mushi on this floor. Inazuma has sealed the entrances and exits to the stairs and elevators. Mr. 3, follow me!"

"Yes!"

With that, Buggy walked straight into the depths of the sixth basement floor.

And Mr. 3 hurriedly followed behind Buggy after responding.

Buggy was here to free the prisoners, but before he could do that, he had to meet someone important.

This person would determine whether they could escape smoothly after taking control of Impel Down!

Originally, Buggy intended to use Blackbeard's ship to reach Marine Headquarters after seizing Impel Down. After all, Blackbeard would definitely come here to execute his plan!

But relying solely on Blackbeard was too risky, so Buggy kept him as a backup plan.

The most crucial thing now was to meet someone who had been imprisoned here for 20 years!

The Demon Heir, Douglas Bullet!

Buggy walked through the corridors and finally stopped in front of a cell.

The inmates in this cell didn't rush to the railing when they saw Buggy and his crew, unlike the others, because they were all unconscious on the floor with bruised noses and swollen faces!

The only one still conscious was sitting on a stone platform, arms folded and shoulders squared.

"Yo, long time no see, Bullet!"

Buggy looked at Bullet inside the cell and smiled playfully.

Upon hearing Buggy's voice, Bullet's eyes snapped open, and a fierce aura, akin to the awakening of an evil dragon, surged forth!

Mr. 3 was instantly drenched in cold sweat and collapsed to the ground!

Bullet's eyes flickered with confusion when he saw Buggy, but when his gaze settled on Buggy's distinctive red nose, the confusion vanished.

Bullet stood up, walked to the railing, and looked down at Buggy. 

"It's Buggy. I thought you were dead!"

"Hey, hey, what's going on? How does he know Bullet?"

"Bullet was a crew member on the ship of Pirate King Gol D. Roger. He shouldn't know someone obscure!"

"Who is this guy that can talk to Bullet? Why have we never heard of him before?"

"Buggy? Are there any notorious pirates named Buggy?"

The inmates had ceased their shouting when Buggy stopped at the door of Bullet's cell.

Bullet was infamous for his brutality on the sixth level! If they angered Bullet, most of them would be knocked out cold!

But when Buggy and Bullet began conversing, the prisoners were shocked and couldn't believe their eyes!

Mainly because Buggy wasn't famous. To them, this situation was akin to a beggar on the street suddenly conversing with a king on equal terms!

Buggy ignored the prisoners' reactions, glanced at the unconscious inmate in Bullet's cell, and said, "Bullet, it seems Impel Down isn't treating you well. You don't even have a proper cellmate!"

Bullet coldly replied, "Cut the nonsense. Why aren't you running around with Shanks? What brings you here to find me?"

As soon as Bullet said this, Buggy didn't react much, but the entire sixth level fell silent!

"What? What did he just say? The Shanks he's talking about, could it be the Four Emperors, Red-Haired Shanks?"

"Idiot, Red-Haired Shanks used to be part of Roger's crew, along with Bullet! Who else could it be?"

"Wait, judging by his tone, could it be that this Buggy was also a member of Roger's crew?"

The prisoners collectively gasped, as if they had uncovered a monumental secret!

The Pirate King's crew is gathering, and something big is about to happen!

Buggy reached into his coat, pulled out a newspaper, and handed it to Bullet, saying, "Prison break, and by the way, I'm inviting you to a grand event!"

"A grand event?" 

Bullet took the newspaper and opened it, seeing the news about Ace's public execution.

A flicker of excitement flashed in Bullet's eyes. He asked in a deep voice, "The Marine Headquarters is publicly executing Fire Fist Ace, the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. So, are the Marine Headquarters going to war with the Whitebeard Pirates?"

Since Ace wasn't imprisoned in Impel Down this time, the guys on the sixth floor of the prison didn't know the Marine Headquarters was going to war with the Whitebeard Pirates!

Buggy grinned, "Fleet Admiral Sengoku, the Marine Hero Garp, the three Admirals, and the strongest man in the world—this is the top combat power in the world!"

"It's an event like no other!"

"Bullet, don't you think this is the perfect stage for your grand comeback?"

"This is far bigger than the 'Buster Call'!"

Hearing the words 'Buster Call', Bullet's pupils contracted, and his expression became grim.

Ever since he was defeated by the Buster Call twenty years ago, it had become his obsession!

"Just a Buster Call, you little devil, you dare say that!"

Bullet gritted his teeth, and a hellish aura erupted from his body, making everyone feel like they were suffocating!

"I'm just stating a fact!"

Buggy looked up, and an equally imposing aura burst out, pushing back Bullet's momentum!

The blue-purple Conqueror's Haki and the sky-blue Conqueror's Haki clashed, and the entire Impel Down seemed to tremble!
