One Bite to Another (English Version)

"I don't do business with monsters!" Mino sarcastically exclaimed, glaring fiercely at the lady with a thin cloth covering her face. "So was I with a pathetic human," Vreihya grumbled angrily. They both despised one other's kind because, in their own views, they were both monsters. Vreihya is the strongest vampire, fated by prophecy to bear a child who will substitute the Goddess of the Moon, yet she cannot live freely without the human who is her only remedy for her illness, and when the human perish, she dies. Their foes will object to having a half-human blooded vampire as their new Goddess, thus they will go to any length to slay the mortal and dominate the most powerful vampire in the vampire world.

LASTREIAS

Vreihya's P.O.V

The five quickly surrounded me, while their comrade who had been tossed before was unconscious. The man behind me couldn't take it anymore and lunged at me, which I evaded, while the man in front of me also charged. That appeared to be a signal to them all, so they all attacked at the same time.

I promptly used my speed and vanished in the center of them all, at the same time, elbowing the one and knocking him down. The four quickly turned to face me, still taken aback by my quickness. One of them jumped at my side, which I quickly evaded by kicking his left leg, knocking him down.

I took an immediate stride to the right because I sensed a someone attacking from behind me. I charged at him, twisting his hand with the dagger that fractured his bones. He shrieked and fell to his knees, so I slammed my knee into his chest as hard as I could. I could hear his chest bones cracking again.

"ENTRANTE! JUST FREAKING DIE!" their leader, the one with the raspy voice, yelled at me. He instantly took out additional daggers and flung them at me, which I easily avoided. I was ready to run when my leg was grabbed by the man I had elbowed in the neck earlier.

I instantly stomped on his elbow, which immediately broke and caused him to release me. He yelled in agony, and when I turned around, their leader rushed to me. With the dagger in both hands, I easily avoided his left and right attacks.

He seemed enraged by what I did, so he threw the daggers at me. I swiftly stepped to the left, and the man who was hit with a dagger yelled as a result of my dodging. One of his comrades was about to approach me from behind when he was struck in the chest by a dagger, killing him instantly.

I noticed one of them taking advantage of the fact that I was facing the rest of his comrades and rapidly fled towards Mino's direction. Entrante! That will not happen! I appear to have lost focus, which is why when I confronted their leader again, I was met by a dagger coming in my direction.

But I quickly dodged it, and it struck into a tree behind me. I swiftly grabbed it and tossed it towards their comrade, who was heading in the direction of Mino. The dagger pierced into his neck, instantly killing him. I quickly looked at the sole man who appeared to be hiding his dread.

I couldn't take it any longer, so I swiftly vanished from his sight and moved behind him. "Bye," I muttered arrogantly as I wrenched his neck with all my effort, causing it to snap. I instantly wiped down my clothing because I noticed some filth on it.

"Mama!" I heard Kypper's yell, and I grabbed the corpses and flung them off a cliff. I didn't want Mino and Kypper to see me use violence. After a time, I went to the river and noticed the fainting Mino leaning on a large boulder. "What happened? Did you finish?" I asked the gasping mortal.

"Success! I am relieved!" he exclaimed, weak yet joyful. "But don't you have soap? My hand smells like poop," Mino complained. I quickly took the box-shaped soap I had purchased earlier, which was still wrapped in fabric. It's a bright crimson produce with the essence of a fragrant flower and a frothy solution. When we got home, I planned to give it to mother.

"It makes you lose your swag when you poop along the way," Mino remarked bitterly, his attractive image having been damaged by his stomach's betrayal. I merely grinned as he walked away from us to wash his hands in the river. Kypper approached me instantly and held out his arms as if he wanted to be lifted.

He quickly got closer to my ear when I scooped him up. "They're gone, aren't they?" he inquired, which caused me to frown but also to understand. "You felt them too," I said right away. "Is that why your body was on alert earlier?" I asked, since just seeing him previously, I could tell he was alerting himself incase someone will attack him and Mino.

I immediately pleased at the thought of him defending and protecting others at such a young age. "Why do you and papa sometimes use different words, like what is a comfort room?" he naively inquired. "Don't worry, we'll teach you, but for now, it's better if you don't understand," I said quietly, and he just smiled.

We were in the middle of a pleasant chat when Mino blurted out, "Princess! Look at this!" I heard his voice behind me and when I rushed forward, my knees shook and I felt like I was about to collapse. Mino immediately smiled and showed me a butterfly with black wings and a blood-red body.

While feeling the overwhelming dread, I hurriedly shoved the butterfly away from his palm. "Entrante! Let's go!" I yelled as I swiftly lifted Kypper and we took off running away from the river. No! We need to get out of here as soon as possible. The terror and pounding in my chest have rendered me virtually deafening.

"What's going on?" Mino wondered as he ran alongside me. "That butterfly is a Lastreias!" I exclaimed frightened as I grasped Mino's hand to flee faster. "What the hell is that?" he questioned, perplexed, as we abruptly exited the forest.

Because of the terror I felt, my heart pumped even faster. "It is a butterfly that can be seen whenever-" what I was about to say was cut off because we were blocked by soldiers guarding the entrance to Calixtas' kingdom. Entrante! I no longer have time! They will eventually catch up to us!

They were ready to speak when I was compelled to blow in the wind, which caused what appeared to be ash to ride the wind from the flowers around them. They quickly passed out, and I dragged Mino inside the kingdom and ran again. The sanctuary is located beyond this small kingdom.

We must act quickly! I didn't care about the stuff I ran into or even the individuals who lived here. We need to go to the sanctuary as soon as possible. I'm not going to let anything awful happen to Mino. Never!

"Princess!" He seemed to have difficulty calling me since I know he is as exhausted as I am. But I was even more afraid when I heard a loud growl coming from the village where we had stopped earlier. Entrante! This will not happen!

"I know you heard that dreadful growl! What on earth is that?" Mino muttered as my eyes appeared to blur from running so rapidly. "Those butterflies are only visible when an Awol is approaching!" I exclaimed in terror, made even more terrified by the unexpected coldness of Mino's palm in mine.

I'm sure he knew what that meant. I was taken aback when he began dragging me forward as if he, too, realized we needed to hurry. How many creatures have we almost run into, and how many objects have been tossed as we pass by?

We sprinted for a few more minutes 'till I noticed the entrance of the sanctuary at the forest where we had been running for a long. Whatever awaits us on the inside is entirely up to us! We require a secure place.

I was now the one dragging Mino, and when we got to the other side of the entrance, I promptly halted him. As Mino took Kypper from my arms, we were both panting. My knee is weakening as a result of my excessive running.

"I am Princess Vreihya Amely of the Zecilion family, and we wish to enter the sanctuary's entrance," I exclaimed, raising my palm as my eyes narrowed. I said a prayer that only the entities permitted to enter could know.

As soon as my palm lit up, the entrance emerged a blinding light. It gently opened, and we walked right in. When we eventually got in, I appeared to regret coming here right away. The creature that had angered me for a long time was the one who welcomed me. "Welcome back... my favorite toy," she murmured arrogantly, which made me furious.
