Divide and Conquer
Music and sun accompanied Steph and Hong Gi on the drive back home. Steph enjoyed the easy silence interspersed with casual conversation right up to the point when Luke called Hong Gi. Afterward, his face hardened into a mask of anger, and his full sentence responses dwindled into single-word snippets.
The hotel he picked out was awesome. Upscale to the point that Steph felt underdressed in a hoodie and jeans. They agreed to a single room since most of their time would be spent with Mom and MJ. Besides, after spending a few days living together, they'd already realized that if Steph didn't curl up with Hong Gi at bedtime, he would migrate to her room. Either way, more often than not, they ended up falling asleep in each other's arms.
