Chapter 5: Hello Neighbour Part-2

Kevin's POV

After doing an awesome workout in the gym I returned home to see my sis running around the house in a little cute emerald green frock with her hair into two small ponytails.

As she saw me coming through the door, she came running towards me, and started showing her dress to me by twirling in it like a little princess.

"Hey princess, you are looking so beautiful, where are you going?" I asked her, picking her up in my arms.

"Yikes Kevin, you are sweating and smelling put my down you will spoil my dress", she said whining. I let put a small laugh and put her down and she starts running towards the kitchen.

Then I see our mom coming out of the kitchen and noticing me she says, "Ha Kevin, you are home". She is looking beautiful as always , I hope someday I get lucky to get a women like her as my second half. I smile at her.

"Yes mom, I just came home". "Well good, now please go get ready fast because we are going to have dinner at the neighbors." She says while finishing the icing on the cupcakes. I try to lick the icing from the bowl but my hand is swatted "Oww mom that actually hurt". "Well you better get freshen up young man you don't want to get in trouble with me ". She says that trying to keep a stern face which she fails miserably. I take a few steps backward and give her a salute while saying," yes ma'am", and start going up the stairs with the chuckle of my mom.

I smile and enter my room I keep my duffel bag down and go to bathroom for a hot shower. As the shower was relaxing I close my eyes I start getting glimpses of her smile and her eyes. Suddenly I open my eyes and sigh. My hand start forming fists with anger. Anger that I lost her. Anger that I couldn't save her when I could have. Anger that I made her known to that side of my life. But I couldn't do anything now, the damage was already done. After clearing my thoughts I wrap the towel around my waist and exit the bathroom. I rummage through my cupboard and pick out my outfit.

After looking a final time in the mirror I turn towards my window and see the room adjacent to it which is dark right now and sigh as I see her at the window pane waving at me. I miss her so much. No one can replace her place in my life and my heart.( well how wrong he is as life can so many more miracles to him ;))

As I go down the stairs I find the house empty so I lock the house and start going towards our neighbor's house. As much as I hate to go there because it reminds me some bittersweet moments of my life, I can't go on the wrong side of my mom, if she gets angry she will not speak with me at all which will crush me completely because right now in my life I have only her and my sister as the only girls in my life and I can't lose them.

I reach the end of our neighbors porch and knocked on the door and see a girl of my age opening the door and staring at me, she is the window girl!

I smirk when I her staring at me for too long and I was about to say something Ruby came running towards me and hugged my legs. I lifted her and said, "hey princess, missed me?", I ask her and she giggles. She looks so adorable when she does I seriously have a very serious work when she becomes a teenager to keep all the boys away from her.

As I looked above me to the girl who was looking at us with a sad smile as if she is missing someone and her eyes started to tear up, as soon as she saw me looking at her she turned her face to wipe her tears and I kept down my sister and she again started tugging my pants I looked down at her and asked, "Yes, princess?" "Kevin this is Charolette", she turned towards her and said "and this is my brother Kevin, Charolette".

Charolette turned towards me and extended her hand and said, " my bad for not introducing myself, I am Charolette Adam". Shaking her hand, "Kevin Green" I nodded. " Well come in" she gestures her hand front and she leads the way with me and Ruby following behind.

We enter the dinning room where all the adults were talking and laughing, when they noticed us they stopped talking and my mom got up from her seat and came towards us. "Well Jane and Jack meet my son Kevin", my mom said. Mr. Adam came forward and took me to a hug and patted my back while Mrs. Adam did the same. "Oh my god, see how much handsome you have grown up", Mrs. Adam said. "It's a pleasure to meet you both and thank you ma'am", I said it to Mrs. Adam. "Oh come on call me Jane", Jane said ."Let's get started with dinner, shall we", said Mrs. Adam. All this time Charolette was playing with my princess and giggling with each other. The dinner was a normal conversation filled dinner. After the dinner, and after complementing Jane for her cooking it was finally the time to go home. During the whole dinner my sister was having a good time with Charolette and occassionaly she would look my way and give a small smile to which I would reply with a nod. As we were leaving Ruby went towards and hugged her. "I am gonna miss you Charlotte", Ruby said. "I am gonna miss you too Ruby, but I will come to meet you tomorrow ok", Charolette said while ruffling Ruby's hair. After reaching home I went upstairs to my room and went into a deep slumber quickly. the last thought on my mind was about her again.
