How they met

He was just a gnome in her eyes.

She was but a giant in his eyes.

They both met on a shoreline.

Near the singing seagulls.

Her skin tanned in the tone of a chocolate.

His skin white as a snow.

She a beautiful lady with black hair.

He a skinny man with a haircut like a samurai.

They're eyes met.

As the wave hit the sand.

He opened his mouth.

But she did as well.

"Yo, need something?"

"Actually yeah. I am kinda new here and I was wondering if you could tell me where the nearest shop is."

"Head straight out of the beach and turn to the right then walk for a couple of minutes and there it is, bucko."

"Thanks."

He turned his head to see the sea.

A couple of seagulls fly above.

Flying through the turquoise sky.

As if there was no one around.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

"Yeah."

"Well, thanks for helping me. I need to go now."

"Wait, bucko, I need to go to the shop too so I am going to tag along."

"Sure."

This is where the story began.

On a small island.

Somewhere in Japan.

Okinawa, I think it's called.
