Aang sighed with slight weariness as they still weren't getting anywhere, "is there much left to get there?"
"No" replied Sokka, who was lying down.
Katara smiled nervously, and turned to Aang, since she had questions to ask him, "Why didn't you want to hide that you're the avatar?"
"It's just, well... it was never an easy thing for me." Aang scratched his head as he looked down. Katara seemed to understand him. Not Sokka.
"You have the burden of saving the world, it's normal that it's not easy for you" Sokka responded without looking at him, "And even more so when you've been away for a hundred years."
"H-hundred years? It's impossible! Do I look like an old man?" Aang asked and turned to Katara, "S-so, i-it's... true?"
"Yes Aang, you were trapped in that iceberg for a hundred years," the girl responded and then approached to console him, "But you still have time."
"I can't believe it! Because of me... so many people were waiting for my help... and I wasn't there for them" Aang lowered his head, while he clenched his fists, full of helplessness.
Sokka stood up annoyed and grabbed the avatar by the neck, "Listen to me dwarf, in this life there is no time for regrets, you can't change anything about the past, but you can change the future."
"People still hope that you will appear, so master the three elements you need to learn and save the world"
"And if you don't do it, I will. We have to end this war as soon as possible," Sokka commented and immediately let go of Aang, who fell.
"W-war?" The boy's eyes were open and Sokka sighed, he forgot that Aang didn't know anything about what happened in these years.
"Listen, the fire nation came out to attack a hundred years ago, they conquered and exterminated quite a few people, including yours..."
"...They exterminated all the air nomads" Sokka stated seriously and Aang's eyes widened, filled with panic and disbelief.
"YOU'RE LYING!" Aang shouted with teary eyes. He extended a staff, which had a kind of folding wings, and flew away.
"Aang wait don't go!" Katara proclaimed, watching the boy go through the air, "Sokka, why the hell did you tell him that?!" she shouted.
"Why? So that he knows the reality, the sooner he accepts it the better, you'll see how he comes back to us" Sokka responded, turning around.
"You're insensitive Sokka! Haven't you thought about how to handle the news? Sometimes I think you're a huge idiot!" Katara exclaimed.
"Listen to me Katara, this is NOT a game, we are in the middle of a war, our mother died because of this fucking war, do you understand?"
"History is written by the winners, we are one step away from being erased from history, and ten thousand steps away from writing it ourselves"
"I know reality is shit, but let's try to make this work out," Sokka responded, going to lie down on the floor, "Shit."
He was afraid he had been too harsh, Katara was still a child after all. In fact, when he turned around he saw his little sister crying.
"Ah... I'm so sorry Katara," Sokka scratched his head, "But I don't know what's going to happen in the future and I'm scared, and I can't do it alone."
"That's why I need you to get as involved in this as possible, we must save the world. If we don't do this, no one will" commented Sokka.
Katara looked at her older brother and saw the sincerity in his eyes, "You're right, we have to save the world. But be less rude."
"I'll try," Sokka replied, laughing.
Sokka sat back opening the system, now he would try to continue leveling everything, although doing so at the intelligence level was almost impossible.
Name: Sokka Strength: 10
Speed: 10 Agility: 10
Senses: 10 Intelligence: 27
Stamina: 10 Charisma: 10
Sokka didn't really feel any stronger than before. Maybe because he had not fought with his fists, other than with his boomerang.
Maybe the system store would have some martial art as a skill. That could be pretty good, 'Actually, let's see it'
[Abilities]
[Martial Arts]
Expert level Kung-Fu: 15,000 XP
Expert level Taekwondo: 10,000 XP
.....
Sokka opened his eyes when he saw the exorbitant prices, 'Maybe it's better to learn them naturally, although I don't know if there is time.'
"Sokka, I think we've arrived!" Katara exclaimed, pointing to the nearby island and Sokka smiled, standing up. He really he was very hungry.
They left the ship and Appa at the port and Katara went to a market while Sokka waited at the port, along with avatar's flying bison.
"I should sell some things from the inventory, with the little money we brought from the village I don't think it will be enough for much more" Sokka wondered.
He looked at the ships in the port, some of them must have been merchants. So he could sell them his stuff, "Okay, let's go."
"Hey, stay there" Sokka looked at Appa and he left.
