The Banquet

While Meng Hao was enjoying his days leisurely the day of the much anticipated Banquet arrived.

Apart from the Major Powers in Blue Cloud City that received invitations for the banquet an announcement was made within the whole city about the banquet taking place in the Governor Mansion.

With the changes in the empire this years some of the Cities in the empire don't have City Walls.

Blue cloud city is one of such Cities.

With the introduction of the new type of carriage known as vehicles the major roads in the empire was also repaired in order for the vehicles to move freely.

On the major road that connects the Blue Cloud County to the Bright Light Prefecture three luxurious cars can be seen heading towards the blue cloud county.

Because it's currently summer the weather is a bit hot so Meng Hao is currently sitting in the Garden at the back of his courtyard reading a book, after a while he raised up his head feeling someone approaching the Garden.

Li Chan entered the Garden and saw Meng Hao looking up from his book,

"Young Master, Members from the Prefecture Meng Clan just arrived and Your father is meeting them in the Main Hall"

Meng Hao nodded in replied, infact he knew when they arrived, at his current Realm if want he can perceive everything happening within the Governor Mansion.

Li Chan ended his Cultivation yesterday and with the support of the Divine Transformation Pill was able to break through the Spirit Origin Realm and with the residual energy from the Pill remaining in his body, he will be able to condense more Origin Pearls in the following days.

The day quickly passed and it already getting dark, the banquet hall had already been set up.

Some arrangements were also made outside the hall for the ordinary members of the City that will come, while the Main Hall is for the powerful forces in the City.

When Meng Hao arrived at the Hall many people have already gathered and the banquet was about to start.

With Li Chan behind he went to a corner of the Hall were they are less people and ordered a maid to supply his table with a enough food.

In the Hall currently there are two main Seat, Meng Chuan the County Governor sat on one and besides him sat an Old Man with his eyes closed, but the Aura he was unintentionally releasing was putting pressure on those besides him. The Old Man is the leader of the Delegation From The Main Clan.

See the way the Old Man was behaving, Meng Hao couldn't help but click his tongue with a slight smile on his face thinking

**This guy is surely putting up an act like those side characters from novels who will surely be forgotten after two to three chapters.

Seeing that all the invited guest have arrived Meng Chuan stood up from his Seat, Seeing the County Governor standing up the noise in the Main Hall stopped and those standing found a place and Sat down.

Seeing this Meng Chuan nodded

"Good evening everyone I thank all for honouring the invitation for this banquet, I hereby declare the official start of the banquet, but before we continue I will like to make an Important announcement", he began.

After stopping for a few seconds he continued

"l want to thank everyone for their support to me all this years as a County Governor, but recently I discovered I was no longer as strong as I was before and our Great Blue Cloud County needs a strong County Governor, so in view of this I have decided to step down as the County Governor and I nominate Meng Ye as the new County Governor and hope you all will support him the way you have supported me.

When Meng Chuan finished him speech the whole hall was in enveloped in deep silence and everyone in the hall have a look of shock on their face.

The Old Man also Opened his eyes and a look surprise appeared on his face, when he was coming he thought Meng Chuan will put up a struggle that is why the Clan sent him.

With his Cultivation been in the Spirit Origin Realm he believes he will be able to handle everything, but this development brought him a surprise.

Seeing their shock, Meng Chuan had a satisfied smile on his face, he turn and looked at Meng Ye who have a shock look on his face and a thought appeared on his mind,

While everyone was still in shock from what he just said Meng Chuan continued,

"I will move out of the Governor Mansion tonight and enjoy my remaining days leisurely".

Saying this Meng Chuan immediately started leaving the main hall seeing his father leaving Meng Hao who was also shock from the way his father handled the matter, also stood up and followed him.

Before anyone could say anything they entered a vehicle that was already waiting outside and left.

In Blue Cloud County, the Blue Cloud City wasn't the only town in the County outside the city there are some small villages and some wealthy people in the City like to own some estate outside the City.

Clear River Village is one of the villages outside the City and there is a beautiful estate in the village, the villagers heard it belongs to a powerful person from the City, but usually only the servants that kept the place clean are always seen.

After leaving the City the vehicle carrying Meng Hao and his father arrived at the estate in the Clear River Village.

The Property belongs to Meng Chuan but he rarely come here.

Coming out of the Car Meng Hao couldn't help but look at his father who had a satisfied smile on his face all through the ride not knowing what to say.

Seeing their arrival all the servants in the house came to welcome them, leading the servants is an old man who was in charge charge of running the affairs of the estate.

"Welcome Master and Young Master"

There all bowed and greeted.

Meng Chuan responded to their greetings and instructed them to go back to what there were doing.

Coming into the House Meng Chuan headed towards a study and Meng Hao followed him.

The study setup looks exactly like the County Governor office. Meng Chuan sat on the Main Seat and Meng Hao sat opposite him.

Seeing the way his son was looking at him Meng Chuan smile and said.

"You don't need to be too surprised with the way I handled the matter, back then the Prefecture Meng Clan supported me in becoming the County Governor because of your mother hoping to get connected to the Ji Clan in the Capital but over the years they couldn't achieve that, that was why there decided to support Meng Ye after he offered them some gift".

Hearing this Meng Hao showed an understanding looking.

"So I won't let things go the way they want".

After pausing for a while he continued,

"I will be leaving before the sun rises tomorrow, I believe you have seen the message left by your Mother"

"You don't have to worry about the matter I will handle it and also your grandfather left for adventure when I was young and I haven't heard from him since, my instinct is telling me his is still alive, so I intend to look for him as well, just concentrate on your Cultivation, because next time me meet will be in the Sea Of Stars"

Meng Chuan said look Up at the night sky through the window.

"I got an information that the Longevity Valley will soon open, you should try and go, during my adventures I came across an information. You should take a look at the Northern part of the Valley, you will find something useful to your Cultivation". He continued.

"Finally when you decide to begin your journey in the Starry Sky always remember this, **Always Be in Awe Of The Universe**".

leaving his father officer Meng Hao saw Li Chan standing outside and said,

"Ask the chief servant to arrange a room for you, we will be leaving tomorrow".

With that he headed for his room, Meng Hao have been here before, so he has his own room here.

Upon entering his room, Little Nine emerged from the necklace and appeared before him, seeing the way he was looking at him, Meng Hao raised an eyebrow and asked why such a look.

"Meng Hao are you sure you and your father are humans being, because you two are the first humans I will see to have such Cultivation level at young age".

Little Nine asked because he can see that Meng Hao father has not reached a thousand years old yet, but his Cultivation level is already that high.

Hearing him Meng Hao glanced at him before continueing his thought about the things his father said.

After awhile he stop thinking about it, believing everything will be sorted out with time.
