500 years ago, WW3 ruined Earth. Nuclear bombs decimated the planet's landmass, and radiation killed off resources. Now, only two continents remain; Vanena and Macence. Though the original reason for war is long forgotten, the two countries remain at a stand still. Not one able to defeat the other.
Vanena, a land heavily impacted by the radiation, struggles to survive in the wild jungle. Their tribes have low fertility's rates, and their children are often deformed. However, a large number of those children now have abilities that more than makes up for their lack of numbers.
Macence's land has long forgotten the sting of radiation. Castles and lower forms of technology still remain on the continent, though they are mostly in ruins. Despite their overwhelming numbers, the people of Macence have little crops and no abilities of their own.
To stop this war of no end, a treaty formed. A heir of the throne of Macence must marry a successor of the tribe of Vanena. Their futures must be thrown away, their happiness must not be considered, and their prejudices must be swallowed.
