Digital space?

It was the paxian's habitat much like how fishes need water to live or polar bears need extreme cold snowy environments to also live.

The default digital space itself looks like crystal clear water was everywhere on the surface with the sky being whatever color the surface was. The surface, in the current digital space, reflects the color of its inhabitants like with Kat's natural pink color.

Except Kat's space of influence was being invaded by an ominous red and black cloudlike substance coming from Rae. The once pink crystal clear surface was pitch black with glowing red veins corroding it and the sky had the same ominous black color but cloudy and red lightning.

What does a fight in the digital space look like?

Well in Kat's experience during her school years, it was much like a virtual reality sandbox video game where anything is possible as long as your imagination wills it. A paxian can summon weapons, buildings, or any objects that existed with very little restrictions in the digital space....except maybe the memory capacity if the fight was isolated in a closed network like say the 4th year building.

BOOOOMMM!!!!!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

As the top of her graduating class, Kat was the best combatant in her year, but simulated fights and spars could never compete with real combat experiences. So instead, Kat was on the defensive summoning random objects to fill the memory capacity of their isolated battlefield in the digital space, all while flying and dodging Rae's relentless attack. She hoped to limit Rae's arsenals while figuring out a way to incapacitate her nonlethally.

Rae, on the other hand, was using her 20+ years as an employed Paxian Operator to overwhelm Kat with artillery cannons while waiting with her null weapon to go for the kill. Rae's preferred weapon form was a chain-sickle called kusarigama, a Japanese melee weapon. The kusarigama was pitch black with a skull emblem on the sickle blade and the chain could extend farther away than its real life counterpart as only Rae's imagination could limit the range.

[RAE!!! SNAP OUT OF IT! IT'S ME, KAT]

Kat attempted to plead with Rae for the 3rd time inside the digital space, another reason why Kat was purely on the defensive and using stall tactics. She summoned energy shields, a common UHA defensive equipment, and even summoned a handheld railgun to destroy the artillery cannons.

BAAANG

The recoil was negligible as Kat enhanced her strength to compensate for it. The artillery cannons were much fewer as the memory space was reaching near capacity.

[Little rabbit just die already so I can go back and watch my mistress brutally kill that loner.]

Rae's expression was stone cold as her mature voice had a hint of disdain but the tears flowing out of her eyes betrays her actual feelings. She no longer had control of her body and her mind was almost consumed by the foreign nefarious energy in her coding.

Kat gritted her teeth hearing the same type of response and went with her 'painful but not dead' plan as she summoned a giant 30 meter mecha that was still in the experimental phase of the UHA military R&D branch. It was humanoid in nature except it had a medieval knight helmet and with no coating leaving the mech with just the metallic look.

She used up the remaining memory capacity and ordered the mecha to charge towards Rae as the mecha had no weapons due to still being experimental. Kat then got out of Rae's line of sight and hid somewhere.

Rae nonchalantly swung her chain-sickle forward across the 50 meter expanse in front of her as the chain continuously keeps on extending and chopped the mech's legs off horizontally. Then she reeled her sickle back as she moved closer to the mech and aimed for the power core hidden in its chest as the mech fell face down.

The sickle blade was sent straight through one of the shoulders and penetrated through the power core as Rae intended. Her null weapon penetrated through any object in the digital space except for another null weapon. 

BAM

Then Kat popped out of the mech's head and sent her black hooked polearm with a skull emblem towards the chain-sickle with the hook latching on to the chain, all while Kat had an arc pistol in her other hand and shot it towards Rae. The arc pistol was law enforcement standard issued stun gun as it had the same range as a sidearm but instead of bullets, it shot out electric bolts.

The arc pistol's setting was set to the maximum nonlethal output as Kat wasn't sure if the standard output was enough.

Rae was instantly hit as she was much closer than she originally was. Her body spasm and her face was twitching, but no screams or even a hint of pain came out of her mouth.

Instead....

[HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA]

A hysterical laugh was heard throughout the digital space with the contrast of pink and black/red even more prevalent as the two were much closer now. 

[Little Kat, nothing can knock me out. The only way is to kill me, but....can your innocent heart take my life fufu]

Rae had a playful tone before it turned stone cold like an experience killer. She then held the sickle's handle with two hands and reeled the sickle blade forcibly back since Kat only had one hand gripping her polearm. 

Kat temporarily lost her balance as she was momentarily stunned by Rae's words, but quickly recovered her battle stance. She couldn't believe it....

No, she somewhat knew in her heart that Rae was beyond saving much like the fiends that Dean and her encountered so far. But unlike the previous fiends, Rae used the last bit of her willpower to hint her fate.

How?

Rae's ominous black and red eyes still had an endless stream of tears but the eyes had a hint of acceptance as if she was ready to die by Kat's hand.

Kat knew what she had to do, but....

TING!

She was still on the defensive, this time she changed her polearm into a round shield with a big star and a certain color pattern.

TING!

Rae tried to hook the sickle blade onto the shield's edge but Kat completely blocked the attack. Kat still refuses to morph her shield into another weapon as she ran multiple simulations in her head to find a solution without killing Rae.

[Hmm? Scared to kill me? Well either way it'll be the first in our brief history that a paxian killed a fellow paxian hehe]

Her mature voice got more playful along with a sinister smile as if Rae was playing with her food.

TING!

Kat blocked another attack, but she was visibly shaking as she couldn't find a solution in all of her calculations, mainly because the nefarious energy was unknown to mankind. Also whenever she tried to analyze it, her readings would be overwhelmed with random screams of terror.

[Let's kick things up a notch right little bunny?]

The older maid continue her relentless attack but this time the speed was much faster....reaching inhumane levels as the boundary of human limits doesn't exist in the digital space.

TING! TING! TING!

Kat increased her reflex and agility as she blocked every attack, but her heart ached thinking about her last solution. The shield's shadow was covering her usual bright pink eyes hiding her inner anguish.

[I can't wait to kill you and activate these lovely turrets killing that....hmmm what does most of the human students call him? Oh the virgin nerd hahaha]
