Yet with a stubborn alpha hell-bent on pulling him into the pack, a vampire that won't leave his side and Helsings in the mix. Asher can't believe he'd actually grown up in such a dangerous place. An ally.

"I'm Asher." He spoke a bit of hesitance in him before it evaporated. A look of confusion crossed her face at his words. Was this how new upcoming killers started out. An introduction before the murder. Was he even new to this. Several thoughts made their self at home in her head.

"Maybe if you stop running this would not feel like I'm stalking you". He finally spoke out loud his eyes staring into hers as his hand hung still extended to her twitching subtly.

She eyed him thoroughly, this not being what she expected. Her mind seemed to quickly process that there might be a trap within it but it threw the idea away quickly as she decided he wouldn't need a trap to kill her if he wanted to. So, why was he not killing her?. The endless questions was beginning to give her a headache.

"Maybe if you looked at people like they were human and not meat to be hunted they'd refrain from running". She found her mouth retorting. Her eyes widened panicking as she knew she might be toast now.

"We both know you ain't human Red." His eyes seemed to blaze again as he muttered the next words the feeling pushing forward. "After all those men would attest to that ". He spoke his lips parting as if on its own volition while fangs seemed to slowly extend as the feeling came back. Catching it he protested, the inner voice trashed pushing to be let out but he pulled back till it halted.

He noted her watching him with wide eyes as she stood there her back pressed into the wall as his gaze flickered between gold and blue.

"Sorry. Not figured out yet" he tried to lighten the mood noting she was scared and panicky. A feeling of unsurety welled up and yet again the inner voice seemed to rise quelling it. and lighten the mood. She simply nodded in response.

"Those men yesterday, why ..." He started and he looked at her to see her eyes going behind him obviously seeking a way out. He didn't exactly understand why he asked but he felt he should know.

"I.. I didn't mean to. It all just happened and I couldn't help myself." She felt like she had to explain. Thinking he was here to kill her for killing the men or something. He looked at her a bit unsure.

"I just woke up in those woods yesterday and I didn't know anything and everything just hurt." for some reason she kept talking not knowing why she felt it okay to tell him.

"You woke in the woods yesterday?" he questioned taking a step closer . If there wasn't a wall behind her she was certain she'd have stretched out the space some more.

"Yes".

"What happened then?" he asked. wanting to know if her experience was same with his. She gave him a slightly confused look before obliging and then began telling him everything that she remembered. His eyes gleamed a bit catching her attention as a bit of curiousity crept in.

"Why does it seem like it's something you understand.?" she asked.

"I was there, cause I turned yesterday too." he deadpanned not bothering to hide anything. Her eyes rose a bit then stared at him watching the flickering gold and blue then his lightly strained appearance. She'd been thinking that as a wolf he might have naturally seen her as his enemy and thus the hunt but now she realized that maybe like her he had no control and simply chased the first living thing he saw. While the first and second speculation were true she didn't realize how wrong her second speculation was.

"Do you remember how you got there?" he asked a bit of light entering his eyes. Her silent and disappointed gaze at his question was enough of an answer to dim his hope even before she spoke.

"What's happening?." She muttered.

" I don't know what's going on, but we need to figure it out. Like how the hell I woke up in the woods with no clue how I got there and then next minute I'm turning into some... some..."

"...big wolf. Very big" she finished looking away.

"Yeah. And next minute I'm chasing some deer and tearing it to shreds. Then a scream, saw you on the street, those men , you ...?". He paused as she began blabbering.

"I didn't mean to. I mean I knew what I was doing I just couldn't... I didn't... I mean my body just..." She stilled then exhaled. He looked at her wondering if he should say something comforting or not then just mentally sighing. His palms twitched as claws began sliding out his nails her eyes seemingly catching it as she held her breath.

"It's cool. Not gonna chase you through the school. I mean I want to sorry it wants to.. the urge is there.  Last night wasn't me, most atleast, I'd never want to bite a girl's head off. This thing in my head just keeps trying to take over. I guess it's same with you. " He rambled then just halted as he leaned back on the wall exhaling a breath and slid down till he was seating on the ground.

"So you actually don't wanna kill me?" She asked slowly looking him straight in the eye.

"Would say I couldn't hurt a fly but after last night's deer. I guess am gonna have to check that fact off my list . " he chuckled as he rested his head back, watching her nod and slightly relax.

"You tried remembering how you got in the woods?" He asked looking up hopefully. She seemed to pause as she thought it over. She already knew the answer but she tried hoping for some slice of memory to push up. None came and the same sting like before assaulted her braun. She sighed shaking her head slowly."Hurts whenever I try".

"Sorry, same here " he grumbled as he rubbed a palm down his face.

*So how did we?. Any idea?. I mean what we are.?" She asked. His head shook slowly as he stared at his palms rubbing them slowly together.

"All I'm sure of is you're a vampire, atleast that's obvious from your show last night." He stated.

"And I'm certain a big ass wolf gave me a good chase last night" she retorted as she leaned back on the wall a bit of edginess leaving her though she still stole wary glances at him.

"You can stop looking at me like I'm gonna go slasher on you. I'm not gonna kill someone who might have answers." Her wary and unsure gaze seemed to still lack the belief in his words after all she didn't have answers. Almost like he could read her thoughts he immediately spoke up trying to calm her down.

"Hello I'm not gonna kill someone, so calm down I can sense your edginess. Though it's cool how your heart's not beating at all". He pointed out as his hearing picked up on the lack of any thumps coming from her chest.

Her world seemed to zero in on her as her eyes widened. Her hand shot up her chest placing it slowly beneath her left breast. She felt and listened her eyes squeezed shut. No thump. Not a thud. No beat. Her breath rushed out hard.

"You didn't realize did you.?" He muttered as he stared at her face then looked up at the ceiling.

"But, why?.Does this mean I'm dead or...?. I... Who would do this to me?. Why?". She asked her eyes never leaving the floor as her palm still felt around her chest for a heartbeat.

He sighed as he stared ahead, a million questions both had and no answer in sight. He looked at her once more still feeling around for her heart beat as her expression dropped more and more if it was possible. Someone had majorly screwed with them both and he needed to know who, and possibly why. The billion dollar question. Could it be reversed?. As he stared at the white ceiling watching a spider crawl past he felt a coldness in his heart as he felt he already knew the answer.
