chapter two

It was night already, I was having dinner with my family but I was a little bit bothered.

" Honey is everything the matter" my mom asked. Well I don't want her to worry I lied I was tired,

" But you didn't go anywhere today what makes you so tired" my elder brother Noah who is always peeking on me asked.

"Noah!" My mom gave him a sign to quit peeking on me.

Well I angrily left the dinning. On my way to my room I saw a woman shadow entering my room.

" Who goes there" I said, but no one answered me, so I bravely walked to my room, when I entered my room I saw that same shadow, immediately I had ghost pimples, "whar, wha what do you want" I stammered in fear. The shadow started to whisper to me saying she saw me, then she started to come closer I got scared and told her to stand back but she kept on moving closer to me then I started screaming, before I knew it someone tapped my back I gasped as I fell to the ground, thank goodness it was my mom. " Honey I heard you screaming, is everything alright" she asked as she rushed towards me and held me up. I can't tell my mom the truth, she will go physco, " nothing mom, I taught I saw a rat" I answered.

" A rat, and that's what made you scream as if you saw a ghost" Noah said, in an annoying way.

" Noah. Maybe is a rat or something, you know how scared your sister can be" my mom said as she lay me down on my bed.

" Whatever" he rolled his eyes and left. After patting me my mom was about to leave, " mom can you stay with me" I ask for a favor, but the look my mom gave me said she needs to be with my dad, and she left.

I wasn't sleeping throughout the night I was awake just in case I see that shadow again. In the morning I got up and dressed for work, I work at my dad's company. I didn't have breakfast with my family before leaving. While driving I saw a reflection of a lady at my car mirror I turned to look but no one was there, I ignored it and continue driving but I still saw that same reflection again this time I pulled over and came out from my car I was now scared I called my dad's driver to come and pick the car up while I go with a public bus, thankful I didn't see any sign of that reflection. The moment I sat down in my office, I called dabby I told her on phone call what I just experienced today, but what dabby said was not helping, Martin's one of my colleague in the office noticed my behavior lately so he got curious and asked me what the matter was, and when I told him about it he laughed.

" What's so funny about this" I asked.

" Klara, mermaids doesn't exist, and if they do they won't dare show their self out. So if what you just told me is true, then your in a serious trouble. Come to think of it why would you even have that taught or idea to leave your house just to prove yourself that you can actually see something either witches or mermaid" he said, God I was so scared.

" Look klara that mermaid you saw, wanted you to see it, it must have have read your taught and wanted this to be an opportunity for it to manipulate you" he explained.

" So what your saying in essence is that, the mermaid knew I was coming and wanted me to see it so that it can manipulate me" I cried. " Ooh God what have I gotten myself into" I hit my Pam on my head.

" Martin what should I do, what am I supposed to do, I don't want to die" tears rolled down from my eye, my face was now red.

" Your not going to die, we just have to find a solution that's all" he suggested.
