THE TRUTH

Amber let the hot tears flow down her brown skin and leaned closer to him, burying her head in his chest. The driver smiled as he watched them in the front mirror and faced the road.

Xavier reluctantly wrapped his hand around her, caressing her hair firmly. "What can I do to make you happy?" he asked with a lot of care.

"I don’t know. I just want Mason back." She whimpered, crying into his chest, wetting his shirt with her hot tears as she inhaled his scent.

"I ran out of my city because of you. I can’t go back there. I want to migrate to your city. I don’t know anything about Mason, but I am pretty sure he moved out of his old house after college," he said.

"Everyone is telling me to move on, that he might have gotten married and must be living a good life back in his city. That’s why he didn’t come to look for me, but I find all this hard to believe. I knew I broke his heart when I refused to go with him, but I knew he would never betray me." She said and continued crying.

"Stop crying. It hurts me when I see you cry. If I was the old me, I would ask you to listen to your parents. They are saying the truth, but right now, I am also lost. I don’t know what to believe. I don’t know if he is dead or alive, but I promise you, I will call a few friends back home to find out his whereabouts." He said as she pulled away from the hug, looking up at him.

"Really?" she asked in hushed tones.

"Yes," he replied with a weak smile. She hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much, Xavier. What will I do without you?" she asked. "Stop hugging me. You will make it hard for me to let you go." He whined. She pulled away from the hug and her cheek turned bright red.

"Sorry." She said, with pouted lips.

"It’s okay, just stop crying." He said and grasped her soft hand and placed his white handkerchief in her hand. She took it and used it to wipe her tears, resting her head on his shoulder as the car drove off.

"Honey, I am home." Lily said and opened the door of the mansion, walking into the house. She sighted Mason sleeping on the couch. "He is already asleep." she muttered and stood in front of him. She squatted next to him and watched him as he slept on the couch.

"He is so cute." She murmured and sat next to him, touching his hair. To her surprise, he wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him. He opened his eyes and stared at her.

"You are back. Why didn’t you tell me?" He asked with a cute smile.

"I didn’t want to disturb your sleep," she replied.

"You already disturbed my sleep. What time is it?" he inquired. She glanced at the wall clock and replied. "It’s 10:00 pm," she said.

"That goodness, there is still time. Let’s go." He said and grasped her hand, leading her toward the door.

"Where are you taking me? I just got home." She said, confused. She was wondering if he was the same man that scolded her over the phone hours ago.

"I know, we are going on our first date together," he replied, and flashed a smile at her, leading her to the garage. They both got into one of Mason’s cars, and he drove off.

She leaned closer to him and pecked him on the cheek. "Thank you for trying to fulfil one of my many dreams," she beamed.

"It’s okay, I have hurt you a lot. This is the least I could do," he said with a reassuring smile. She clung to him as he drove, pressing her breast against his arm. He felt uncomfortable and stole a glance at her. She looked extremely happy, and he didn’t want to hurt her feelings, so he decided to play along with it.

Minutes later.

They arrived at the restaurant and took their special seats. They were treated like royalty from the moment they stepped into the restaurant, and there was a musician singing in the middle of the restaurant.

"You can order anything you want. I will eat whatever you order." Mason said. She happily grabbed the menu and ordered a couple's special. Mason couldn’t believe she was a fool for love. He had told her he didn’t love her, and she was still trying her best to impress him, even throwing herself at him.

They were served food and champagne. Mason didn’t want to drink, but she begged him to drink. "We have to drink together once in a while. Don’t worry, I am a heavy drinker." she assured with a smile that exposed her dimples.

"Okay." He said dryly, and started taking a sip of the champagne and watched her as she drank happily.

After a few meals, she was extremely drunk and was talking recklessly. That made everyone in the restaurant turn to look at them.

"What does Amber have that I don’t? I have big boobs and a great body," she said, squeezing her boobs in front of him. He became embarrassed. The alcohol he had taken was burning in his system, but he was trying his best to control it.

"Stop talking, you are making a fool of yourself. Come on, let’s get out of here." Mason said as he paid for their meals and extended his hand to her so she would take it, but she hit his hand away.

"Are you surprised I know your lover’s name? I know it because you always say it whenever you have S…" He covered her mouth with his hand and smiled nervously, staring at the other couples that were looking at them.

"Don’t mind us. Carry on, she is drunk," he said, and removed his hand from her mouth.

"I don’t have a lover; you are the only one I love." He said, grasping her shoulder. His eyes were spinning. She smiled. "Yayyy!" she screamed and stretched her legs and gave him a big kiss on the lips. He rolled his eyes and carried her trying to carry her out of the restaurant, but she kept resisting, shaking continuously in his arms and her shoes flew out of her feet.

"Sorry!!" He exclaimed, talking to the couples that dodged her flying shoes. She jumped down from his arms and slapped him hard across the face.

"You don’t have the right to touch me without my permission," she said, poking his chest. He was losing his mind. He was getting angry. He wanted to leave her alone in the restaurant. He frowned

"Sorry, your highness, but I need to take you home to your husband. Will you come with me?" he inquired.

"Yes! Yes! I will go with you." she squealed clapping her hand. She spun him around and jumped on his back.

"Take me home," she said, pointing at the entrance of the restaurant. Mason staggered walking toward the entrance and got into his car, begging one of the waiters to take them home because he was drunk. He sat in the back seat with Lily, who was clinging to him.

"Let’s try to make a baby tonight. I have learnt a lot of sex styles from the doctor," she said, followed by an annoying laugh. The waiter behind the wheel couldn’t help but laugh.

"Just ignore her." Mason told him.

Minutes later

They arrived home and Mason paid the waiter extra for the ride and carried Lily out of the car, heading toward the door of the mansion. She nearly fell. The waiter ran after them and took Lily from Mason.

"Thank you." Mason said and patted his shoulder, walking behind them as he carried Lily into the house. Mason showed him to Lily’s room and rested on the door, watching him as he laid her on the bed and attempted to go.

"Honey, where are you going? We have to make a baby." She muttered and grasped his wrist, pulling him into the bed. The waiter tried to resist, but she was too strong and she grabbed his tie. He was suffocating under her grip as he wrapped her hand around his neck and kissed him.

Mason opened his eyes wide in surprise and shook his head. "Lily what are you doing?" he asked and pulled the waiter away from her. The waiter looked angry as if he had been violated.

"I am sorry about that," Mason apologized.

"I-it’s okay it there a lipstick mark on my lips?" the waiter asked adjusting his tie.

"Yes over here." Mason replied touching his lip. The waiter rubbed the mark off his lip and walked out of the room. He glanced at Lily on the bed and pushed her aside and lay next to her on the bed pulling the blanket up his chest, she put her leg on his body and he pushed her away. She fell off the bed and landed on the floor with a great thud Boom!
