Work hard , Rest hard

The boss did a spin move by the time I opened my eyes and I used my dragon halbeard to block the attack .... Or so I thought but there's was no impact so I looked at the boss and realised that the move this dumb statue tried to do is a tail sweep , because I kept moving backward while rubbing my eyes , im at a midrange distance, which initiated the tail sweep attack

" This proves that this boss doesn't have a consciousness, other wise it wouldn't do a tail sweep without a tail , that means smashing the pillars was also just it's ai doing its job and there's no soul inside it "

"It's health pool should not be too much right now because the bottom half of the statue is heavily damaged , it's jump attacks are only hurting itself , I just need to hold on for some time " my plan here is simple, stall for time , make a few attacks and the boss goes down

As I was thinking the dogs head started to shake violently like a weight on pressure cooker , for a moment it looked it would blast off , I ran back to hide behind a pillar and waited for the flamethrower to end and then ran a bit further to avoid the scorched area but the boss started shaking its head violently again , i ran towards another pillar that was close to me after a moment I came out and the boss started shaking its head again

" Damn dog bastard stop spamming the flamethrower " , I ran behind the pillar I hid before , the heat was rising crazily and my body started sweating behind the pillar but If I keep moving from pillar to pillar , it'll only make the entire arena hot , I took a few steps back from the pillar to get some relief and after a few breaths I looked at the boss and its head started shaking again and then I got an idea

" Maybe his ai is broken ? I'll have to find a way otherwise I'll be stuck here in the heat until this pillar melts way which also possess a problem ", This time I waited for the flamethrower and as soon as it begins I ran towards the side as fast as I can , the boss was turning to the side I was running and kept the flamethrower running, I went closer and closer to the boss and ran towards the tail , the flamethrower has heated up almost half of the arena so the best safe place in the arena is right under the boss head , i kept doing poke attacks and then a crack formed at the mid section of the boss , seeing this i got another idea , I took out my flaming katana which is almost useless against this type of enemy and stuck it into the crack , then. Turned my dragon halbeard beard backwards and hit the katana with it , the katana started going deeper

The boss turned around and did a poke attack, i ran to its left side ,then towards it tail area where I stuck the katana and hit it as hard as I can

" It's a basic strategy of nailing with a hammer but swinging this halbeard is hard "

The boss jumped high above and maybe because he's broken , he streched his sword and came down with a slashing attack

I ran under the boss and towards the tail side again but this time I covered my eyes with my hand to avoid the dust , the boss broke it's leg part and fell towards his right side which blocked his attacking hand

"This is getting dangerous, what if he does some attack and inturn start rolling while swinging his word , I'll need to finish this quick "

I ran towards the katana and started hammering it with the halbeard , after a few seconds I threw the halbeard in the ring because it's too hard to swing and picked up a rock from the rubble and started hammering the katana while holding the handle with one hand ..... Fortunately the boss wasn't able to move after he fell to the side , he's just shaking violently back and forth which was bothersome at the beginning but now I use the momentum to nail the katana deeper

After a while I hammerd the katana completely, the boss stopped shaking and slowly his head fell off , i quickly went towards the neck area and looked inside

A shing dragon heart was readily sitting inside, I put my hands inside and pulled as hard as I can and after a few seconds I fell on my butt along with the dragon heart, I threw a blast talisman inside the boss statue just in case and ran back , sat down in a lotus position and blasted the boss statue to peices

I took a deep breath and started eating the dragon, it was tasty just like the last one

"Juicy and sweet things are usually bad for the health but this thing is too good on all sides" , after eating the dragon heart I felt something in my dantain part just like last time but I don't know how to look into my body yet , the only thing I can do with my spiritual energy right now is to strengthen my body , nothing more , I can't even use the dragon halbeards lighting attack "

I got up from my place and walked towards the room at the end with a chest and with a normal look opened the chest and took out a coat with a dragon design on it , after I put on the coat , the dragon shook violently and turned purple and it looked like the dragon was alive and it was walking on clouds

The coat adjusted itself to my size perfectly

" Purple ? That's new , I wonder what element I awakened, this coat is nothing but a cosmetic item ,the dragon shows the elemental colour of the protagonist they are playing but none of the protagonists had a purple colour element, it might be a shadow or darkness element but dark element shows silver lining on the dragon not complete purple .... I need to get my elemental test done after I go home , that way I can raid the dungeons with weapons and buffs that support my element "

I started walking back to the start of the dungeon and then noticed the sword in the boss hand and realised something

" So these weapons are no longer a rare drop I can just pick them up , the watchdogs draconic sword is one of highest damage outputing special weapon with only 1.5 percent drop rate .....wait ....wait ..... Ah shit i should have got the magma sword from the last boss , that thing can spit lava at every swing , has serration damage and it's drop rate is even lower at only 0.75 percent..."

I put the watchdogs draconic sword in my ring and walked back to the large tree branch, " good thing I stole all the random things in the bandit camp " i smiled and brought a ladder out of my ring , climbed back on the large tree branch carefully and rest of the walk was simple because everything here is dead

I went back to the horse , it was still sleeping so I walked outside the dungeon to check the time , I went in about 8 or 9 am , now it might be somewhere near 10 or 11 am because the sun is still not above my head yet , I went back inside and slept beside the horse

" Like the body builders say , you gotta work hard then rest hard , the next dungeon is atleast 2 days away , it's better to travel with full strength anyway " I looked at the horse while saying it and he woke up , I put a hand on his face and said

" Sleep boy , we have a long journey ahead "

After hearing me he laid down his head again and closed his eyes just like me and went to sleep
