Nightwalker ~when the devil sings

He loathed her. So much so that he was numb from the hatred. He wouldn't kill her~maybe not yet. She glared at him from where she sat on the bed. "Glare all you want since that's what you would be doing from this moment on". "What do you want?" "I will be the musician and you'd be the dancer. Whatever song I sing, you must dance to it. I don't need your will, you just have to obey me". He was the devil himself and this time, she has to be a dancer for him.

Louis pulled to a halt in front of the entrance to the mansion. He turned off the ignition bringing the car to a calm.

"Boss, we have arrived" he said.

Ezekiel nodded and looked at the woman seated beside him. "We're home Walker" he said.

Monalissa nodded and opened the car door, without even sparing him a glance. Ezekiel also alighted. Louis ignited the car again and began gearing it towards the garage.

Monalissa stood behind Ezekiel, in wait for him to take the first step in. In as much as the two of them have come such a long way, she still has it at the back of her mind that Ezekiel is her master. He owns her, he is the reason why she is here, he is the one that decides what happens to her.

"Walk beside me Walker" Ezekiel commanded in a gentle tone.

"Yes master" Monalissa replied and took calm steps to his side.

Ezekiel grimaced when he heard her call him master. He thought they were past that stage. Or maybe they weren't. He reached for her hand and took it in his. Monalissa protested but Ezekiel's strength was no match for hers. She raised her face to look at him.

"Mas...."she wanted to call him and say something but was interrupted.

"Let's go in Walker" he said leaving no room for her to object. He held her and they walked side by side into the mansion. Monalissa grimaced in annoyance at his actions. She liked him holding her but, she wasn't so happy with him at the moment.

They had just walked into the living room and met Daya cleaning some appliances in the living room.

The two halted simultaneously, their gaze pausing on Daya. Ezekiel looked at Monalissa. What she had said earlier some hours ago in the car rang in his mind, making him cringe in anger.

"She's cleaning" Monalissa said, sarcasm visible in her tone. Ezekiel felt his throat tickle with laughter but he tried his best to surpress it. The anger he had just felt, subsided. It was as though Monalissa knew how to control his emotions. What an effect she had on him.

"Do you want to punish her master?" Monalissa asked.

"Yes. I can't have someone like her remain here. She will be punished severely that she would never betray someone in her life again" Ezekiel stated.

Monalissa nodded in support. This Daya was a dangerous item and Elijah was really evil to have put her here. "She needs to be interrogated. Let's know how she even got into this place" Monalissa added.

Ezekiel squeezed her hand gently. The duo took calm steps towards stairs, walking as though they hadn't seen Daya. The latter heard their footsteps and immediately stood erect to greet them. She wasn't a fool for the fact she knew the level Ezekiel held Monalissa recently.

"Good evening sir. Good evening Miss Walls" she greeted politely.

The duo halted in their steps as though they had planned it. Monalissa chuckled throatily. This Daya really knew how to fall into people's traps. The laughter made Daya sick to her toes. Monalissa turned before Ezekiel and faced the maid.

"Oh, it's you Daya. You're still cleaning?" she asked, feigning concern.

"Yes Miss Walls. Is there anything you want me to do for you?" she inquired.

"It's late. What are you still snooping around for?" the thunderous voice of the man echoed making the young maiden shudder in fright.

"Sorry Boss. I really had to clean this place. I wasn't snooping around" Daya defended herself.

"Good" Ezekiel said. He looked towards the entrance. "Anyone there?!" he roared. He really needed to punish this servant. It was very easy thanks to things falling in place.

Daya's eyes and heart palpitated at the same time. She looked at him and quickly looked at Monalissa.

Monalissa also looked back at her. "What? Are you scared?" Monalissa taunted.

"I really wasn't snooping around. I was just cleaning. Is it really wrong to clean at this hour? I promise I won't clean at this hour again" Daya pleaded.

"You really are a clueless one, Daya" Monalissa commented, clicking her tongue in distaste.

Two bodyguards rushed in and immediately filed in front of Ezekiel. "Yes Boss" they answered.

"Take her to the Realm. Tell Kim that I said she should be kept in the volcanic dungeon" Ezekiel ordered.

"Volcan...." Daya trailed off, unable to complete the words.

"Yes Boss" the two men said and walked towards Daya. Without hesitation, they knocked her out and bundled her out. She didn't even get the chance to plead.

Monalissa looked at Ezekiel. She could see the veins on his forehead popping in anger. She reached for his hand and held it while giving it a feathery stroke.

Ezekiel looked at her. "Walker" he called her.

"It's gonna be okay master. I'm here, by your side" she assured.

Ezekiel didn't know what to say. He just looked at her. After few seconds had passed, he led her upstairs to her room. They had just reached her door when Madam Angela hurried upstairs.

"Young master" she called him.

Ezekiel looked at her."Madam Angela" he said.

"I will whip out something for you both to eat" she said.

"No need. We will take care of that ourselves" he said.

"Really?" Madam Angela asked, surprised. Since she had known him, he had never entered the kitchen. And Monalissa didn't look like someone who was good with kitchen weapons. She didn't look like she could cook.

"Yes, go to sleep Madam Angela" Ezekiel said. He didn't bother with the elderly woman again and squaeked open the door to Monalissa's room.

"Have a warm bath. Let's go make dinner" he said and gave her a side smile. The door was closed leaving just Ezekiel and Madam Angela on the hallway.

"Young master, are you sure you can handle things? Maybe I should just get the ingredients ready for you" she offered.

"You sure worry a lot Madam Angela. Don't worry. I got this." he said, and turned his gaze towards Monalissa's room door. "I just need an alone time with her".

"Yes young master. Take care of yourself" she added before leaving.

Monalissa had a quick warm bath. Standing under the blunt edges of the water streaming down the shower holes, her nerves were brought into another world of ecstasy and she suddenly felt like staying in there forever. She chuckled slightly at the thought. Elena's words came ringing in her ears again, disrupting her calm thoughts.

"You're.... your parents are still alive. They live in Cee country. You're the daughter of Mr and Mrs Lakewoods, the ones that preside the Cee country".

She rummaged through her mind trying to find something, anything at all. However, it was all blank. 'If she was a Lakewoods, why haven't they come looking for her?' she questioned herself. The gaze from the president back at Cee country also made her think. Was she really not Monalissa Walls?

After some minutes of bantering herself with questions, she stepped out of the bathroom and dressed up to join her master in making dinner. She was really giddy about making dinner with him but was trying her best to stay calm. She really hoped that he would say something that made sense to her. She only wanted to hear what Ezekiel had to say and she hoped he did say some. Anything at all, and hopefully that would calm her mind. She suddenly found it so strange that he was the only one who had really gained her trust after her family at Winter walls.

She clad herself in pajamas, a black singlet and pajamas trousers whilst leaving her hair to fall loosely on her shoulders.

The clinking sound of utensils resounded in her ears the moment she alighted the stairs. She rushed to the kitchen on hurried step and was met with Ezekiel's busy back. He was chopping carrots and green beans, the sharp edge of the knife, a testament to the tiny pieces of vegetables that lay on the chopping board.

Monalissa stood at the door, and watched him busy himself around. He was such handsome man with a great physique to match. God really spent the seventh day on this man, taking His time to create him and make him breathtaking.

"I don't mind you drooling but I don't wanna see a puddle" his deep voice echoed in the kitchen.

Monalissa quickly collected herself and swallowed. She stepped into the kitchen with a pout, going to stand beside him.

"What are you making master?" she asked.

"Chicken veggies sauce and pasta" he replied.

"Can you really make this?"she asked, unsure of what the outcome would look like.

"You really are doubting your master?" Ezekiel questioned, pausing what he was doing. He looked at her.

"No way master. I would never" she said, lowering her gaze from his. Her fingers suddenly developed a mind of theirs and began scrambling for what to do.

"What should I help with master?" she asked.

"Nothing. Just stay still" he said.

"Okay master" she replied.

Ezekiel suddenly felt a little annoyed at the way she was addressing him. "Walker" he called her. He dropped the things which he was holding in his hands and turned to face her.

Monalissa was already looking up at him, her eyes filled with questions. "Is there a problem master?" she asked.

"Yes. There is" he said.

"What's that? Can I help with it? What's wrong master?" she asked spontaneously.

"You".

Monalissa's brows quivered. "Me? What happened to me? What did I do? Please forgive me master".

Ezekiel took a step forward and pulled her close. He looked into her hazel brown eyes, his feelings overflowing. "Walker, please, stop addressing me as master" he said.

Monalissa was speechless. His deep blue eyes which were overflowing with emotions almost swallowed her whole. "You're my master. It's just right that I address you that way".

"I thought we were past that" he said, stroking her back gently.

"We are not. You're still master, all in all" Monalissa said.

"Walker, stop calling me master".

"What should I call you then?"

"My name" Ezekiel answered. "I want you to call me my name".
