The Truth Is Right In Front of us Isn't it..?

* * 6 weeks time skip* *

Luciano walked out of the classroom with Dexter. They were in their final year of high-school and the end of the semester was approaching if it wasn't already over as they would be having their closing/graduation ceremony in the next three days.

The school was especially busy as a result and the hallways piled with more and more teenagers who were extremely excited with the end of session and approaching summer break. Sometimes Luciano wondered how this many people managed to fit into the classrooms but it was understandable considering the fact that the school had highly specialised classes that divided the students even more than a normal school and that the hall ways were the only part of the school you could call relatively medium sized, every other part of the school was huge.

Luciano automatically knew that his second best friend was approaching when he saw Dexter's usually dormant irises brighten up.It was obvious to him that the two liked each other but he did not understand why they didn't just come out and say it. It felt like there was a barrier holding Dexter back from expressing his feelings and preventing Luciano from pointing it out. Luciano shook his head

'I'm thinking way too much today' he thought as a beautiful curvy girl with reddish brown hair reaching her shoulder walked up to then holding the straps of her black backpack that she pulled out the strangest of things from. The two boys had stopped wondering how the little bag could contain so much items and even more how she could manage to carry it.

"Hey Ree" Dex greeted smiling while Luciano nodded at her in acknowledgement. Reena smiled at them both as she hugged them together despite her slim hands. Luciano wriggled his brows at Dexter when he felt her boots press up against them, Dexter rolled his eyes letting the slightly shorter girl hug them both.

"Hi hi hi" she squealed hugging tighter before letting go and stepping back

"I missed you two you know" she said feigning sadness as she wiped fake tears from the corners of her eyes. Dexter smiled wider while Luciano snorted but refusing to comment

"Luce missed you too" Dexter confessed on his friend's behalf causing Luciano to punch him in the shoulder

"So did he" he muttered pointing at Dexter who was now rubbingbhis thrombin shoulder his own turn to wonder how Luciano's strength had apparently multiplied exceedingly. Reena giggled at the silliness of her two best friends

"Yeah yeah, I believe you." She muttered pulling her bag sideways so she could reach into it.

"Oh I got something for you Luce" she muttered rummaging through her bag in search of something. A slight call rang out in the crowd for Luciano but he ignored it.

Leila from where she was called out to him pushing and kicking people away from her path even insulting one that stumbled over her feet.

Luciano ignored her as he awaited the much anticipated but not expected gift from his traveller friend who always managed to get her freckled hands on something new.

Finally pulling out a large gift box that was definitely bigger than her bag, she faced Luciano a bright smile on her freckled face as her cherry lips curved upwards beautifully.

"Happy birthday slash graduation Luce" she cheered and Luciano smiled taking the gift from her

"Wow Reena, you really didn't have to" he muttered staring down at the gift. Reena huffed placing her hands on her hips

"Of course I did, I would never forgive myself if I couldn't even get you a present after missing your party" she said as if scolding herself. Dexter stood in front of Luciano putting his left arm round Reena's neck in the process as he attempted looking at the present closely

"What IS it anyway?" He asked his and Luciano's eyes glancing at her momentarily before going back to the box. Rather than answering, Reena giggled in a way that sounded esoteric

"Don't worry you'll see" she said "besides, I don't want Dexter here, knowing what it is" she added nudging the guy beside her slightly. Dexter reveled in the feeling or sparks that went through his body when she touched him slightly in the nidge as well as the sound of his Name from her tongue. He would simply never get used to it

Luciano raised a brow but said nothing nonetheless.

Finally, Leila reached him and her character broke slightly as she pulled at his arm

"Luciano I was so worried about you, can't you at least answer me?" She asked sadly. Luciano and the others raised a brow at the genuine concern they sensed from her. Luciano could care less about it though, he was an asshole to people he didn't like and he didn't care to change.

"I'm not obligated to, now get your hand off of me" he snapped harshly pulling his arm free from her grip as he tucked the gift into his bag that barely contained it. Leila pushed back the feeling of hurt and instead sighed

"Fine, in any case-"

"Hey" Luciano cut her off as she was about to start her previously planned apology. She was still in her act because of Lyn's spies but she still wanted to apologise to and then maybe befriend Luciano but it seems the guy had other plans

"Yes?" Leila managed to not stutter and tilted her head up in confidence

"I do not want to hear any of your shit. What happened took place six weeks ago, I don't need your concern anymore" he spoke sharply, jabbing at Leila's conscience

"Anyway, thanks for making my high-school days stressful Miss Frankescher, I hope we do not meet again" he said the last part with an intensified glare that gave Leila the notion that what he meant to say was 'do not talk to me anymore'. Leila stared at the exiting trio sadly trying not to cry.

The female of the three friends looked back at her and moved her fingers slowly in a strange manner. Leila felt the weight on her heart loosen up and she was soon able to fix her expression. She raised a brow when the female smiled at her before facing forward when Dexter spoke to her probably asking what she was doing.

Leila looked down placing a hand on her chest where she suddenly felt light. For the first time in the past four years, her heart was freed from any emotional burden she once held. "Who was that girl" she muttered silently her body still even in the midst of the bustling crowd.

Luciano sat with his two best friends in front of him on a picnic bench in the city park. He watched as children ran around while their parents watched and some dogs play fetch with their owners. Luciano stared at the heartwarming view contemplating Elliape's words the time they met the night of his birthday. None of the things he saw warmed his heart or affected him in anyway, but one day, would he lose the opportunity to watch this? Would he be put in a situation where he would appreciate the things he currently didn't consider important?

The thought of that happening was slightly scary but more exciting for our slightly deranged Luciano

"So Luce, how's your werewolf girl?" Dexter asked drawing him out of his thoughts. He snapped his head at him quickly

"Dex!, Reena's here!" He exclaimed but Dexter shrugged slinging one hand behind the bench and round Reena's neck as he leaned back

"Don't worry Luce, I already know about her" Reena said smiling. Luciano raised a brow

"How?"

"She overheard us the first time you told me five years ago and unlike me, took your word for it" Dexter explained and Luciano nodded in acceptance

"You couldn't have hidden it from me anyway" Reena added shrugging and Luciano rolled his eyes

"So, how is she?" Reena reiterated Dexter's question. Luciano smiled

"She's alright, saw her last week. She's taking a test to become a guardian soon apparently" he said

"Ooh, that's cool" Reena said

"Well, what does it mean to be a guardian?" Dexter asked, Luciano shrugged

"Don't know"

"Since she's taking a test that means she'll be busy right?" Reena asked

"Probably"

"Does that mean you won't see her again?" Dexter asked

"Don't know"

"What do you know?" Dexter asked again and Luciano shrugged

"You have got to at least learn something about her right now you sound like a doting lover boy" Reena said leaning back into Dexter's arm. Luciano gasped feigning shock

"How dare you? You know I hate doting lover boys" he muttered and Reena gave him a look

"Fine, I'll see you too later" Luciano muttered with a grunt as he stood up and left. The two sat there together for a while

"So, where's my gift?" Dexter asked making Reena smiled as she turned to look at him while his arm round her neck snaked down to her waist.

Dexter climbed down the steps leading to the N.S.P Archives where not just books were kept but also strange weapons all related to supernaturals.

He had lived in this building located at Estate Homes, a place that served as both the head quarters and residence for the organisation.

The Non-SuPernaturals Organisation, N.S.P was an organisation of humans physically and mentally trained to do just one thing, kill supernaturals, be it vampires, werewolves, witches, any thing that simply defied the laws of nature that their human minds had created themselves.

From the moment he regained consciousness in this huge mansion that served as home and base for all the organisation members at age five, he knew he was the odd one out. To him, their ways of life and hierarchy of authority wasn't so different from the supes that they so despised and he was simply confused by the level of hatred. Alas, he was brought up told he was normal and that the supes were abominations of the world that needed to die but he wasn't stupid.

In truth, the organisation was so driven by their goal to eliminate supernaturals that they didn't mind using the power of supernaturals themselves. Dexter was one of their numerous products of this drive. He was born of two purebred vampire's making him one too but was taken by the organisation and raised there brainwashing him to think he was normal so they could use him as a weapon. They eventually got attached to him though and he automatically became part of the huge family.

Dexter was still drawn to the supernatural as he studied them extensively but never went past helping a group of young werewolves escape one time because he felt he was in no position to do anything seeing as he didn't even know what he was.

He was going to find out though.

Taking a step to the back of the room he pushed his hand against the wall while stepping on a floor tile at the same time. He immediately met himself in a secret room filled with collections of his own and some goods he had stolen from the organisation's daily loot before the leaders managed to see them. He picked a book from one of the shelves and walked to another end of the room.

Dexter pulled away the large tarp that covered the podium-resembling machine in front of him. It was a 'supe device' as they termed it called the transporter. It could transport anything that fit on its 12-8 inch surface, the only disadvantage was that it required a purebred vampire's blood to activate. Dexter stared at it for a long time, eventually, he dropped the tarp to the ground and neared the device holding the six-spiked star (star with six instead of five spikes) pendant of the silver chain he was wearing in an effort to draw assurance from a person who wasn't there with him.

He placed the book he was holding on the machine, it was also from the archives and the title read 'The Wolf Elders: History of the Luna Race'. After biting his index finger hard enough to draw blood, he smeared the blood all over the intricate marks and symbols that made a circle round the centre.

'I suppose it is to look like an altar' Dexter thought as the marks glowed white when he had smeared all of them with his blood and the book vanished in a whir of bright light.

Dexter stared at his bleeding thumb with an expression mire grave than a graveyard.

His phone blinked as he received a message.

Luciano: Hey Dex! You wouldn't believe it! The craziest thing just happened, I hadn't even started searching and a book about werewolves suddenly popped up out of thin air! Am I lucky or am I lucky?!

yay!!!!

I was finally able to do a double release!! maybe if I try hard, I could do a triple!^_^

Anyway, the truth is right in front of us isn't it? it always is, we just have to look past that libraries of unsureness.

I hope Dexter makes it okay, I know Luciano will well enough ^_^
