New Friend

Curious and attraction, Garen didn't realize it back then, all he knew that he was excited that day as he makes new friends. Until she saw the girl on the very back seat of the class, alone.

He was amused to see the girl pouting while staring at their direction. Garen was amused to see her face, her eyes suggested that she was distracted by thoughts.

He wanted to approach her and so, he did. Good thing that he was great at starting conversations! He introduced himself and noticed an animated character he loves. He started to connect with her with that very subject as their start.

Garen couldn't point it out by that time, he thought that the girl was very interesting than any other children in the group. She seemed quiet at first but, when the girl realized that they like many similar things, she talked so passionately about it just like him. He never felt so connected with another person, someone he could talk with a light heart and have a lot of fun.

"I sit in front of the class but, we'll play later during recess! Want to come with us?" The boy asked with a wide smile displayed in his face.

The girl seemed reluctant but there is something about the way her lashes fluttered that Garen knew she might actually want to come. The boy simple continued to smile and never waited for a response from the girl.

"Liliane is too long! I'll call you Lili! Let's play! Alright!!" He says before he completely went to his seat and the teacher just came in time.

Garen was too distracted to mind about the class, he was also never actually the type to listen to lessons even when he was tutured to ready him for primary school. Other than math and science, everything bore him.

The boy guarded the clock placed above the black board. He watched every arm moved and made a ticking sound, he guarded it till it finally strucks [9:30 AM]. The poor boy is finally free to play! He was just about to go and call Liliane when he noticed her standing up and exiting the room with the door on the back. She was walking away with their teacher.

The boy followed them to the the nurse office and he was called out by the teacher who noticed him sneakily following them.

"Garen Rine." The teacher's tone was quite stern.

"Yes?..." The boy asked.

"Liliane is taking some shots now, you could wait by the chair." The teacher explained.

The boy no longer hid and went to sit on the chair just across Liliane and the teacher. The teacher took some medicines and it was placed in the injection. Rather than Liliane who is actually taking the shot, the boy seemed more nervous than her that, Liliane couldn't help but chuckle softly. Hearing those soft and cute chuckles, Garen felt heat in his ears and the teacher simply smiled at the two.

"Weren't you going to play with the others?" Liliane asked sincerely looking confused.

"I'll wait for you, so we could play together." The boy seemed sincerely determined and Liliane felt warm to have someone ask them to play with her, wait for her like this, and... She simply felt how her heart.

"Well, the shot is done! Don't tire yourself too much and make sure to call everyone back in time." The teacher says smiling and the two children went ahead.

They all have fun that time, Liliane doesn't seem to be an athletic person and was caught many times. The one who caught the poor girl was mostly Garen. Garen had too much fun and so did Liliane though, she might be feeling quite bitter with her lacking.

The two actually argued a lot during the game. One time that Liliane was caught and became an 'it', Garen surrendered himself but, immediately tags Liliane back as an 'it' of the game and rushes away, climbing to a tree that Liliane doesn't seem to know how to climd.

Garen would stare down at the girl, amused by her cute pouting angry face. It brought satisfaction to the little boy, not because he felt superior with the vast gap it created between them but, just simply because the girl looked so cute when she is furious. Garen smiles as he continued to tease the poor girl throughout the game.

Class resumed afterwards and it ended at noon. Garen was greeting everyone with a simple farewell but, towards Liliane, he talked like he wanted to keep her there, reluctant to say his 'Good Bye' to the girl.

"Ah... it was fun." The boy says with a playful smirk.

The smirk became a soft smile when he saw the angered pouting face of the girl once more. It seems that whenever she pouts, the girl is actually thinking of things. Garen chuckled to the idea that Liliane still thinks about the moments she furiously chased Garen.

"I'll definitely get my revenge later on." The girl murmured within her pout and Garen found it to be very amusing and adorable.

Garen went home and when he arrived, he was greeted by his mother, asking of his day in which, he replies filled with joy.

"I made a lot of friends today!"

The mother laughs, seeing her child filled with so much energy and fun.

"I also met this one girl! She was so funny! And interesting!" The mother stared at her son as he continues with his tales, his eyes shining even brighter everytime he mentions the girl.

"I surrendered during the game but, immediately tags her back! She was so mad! It was so funny!" The boy laughed, his mind displays the pouting face of the girl as he continues to share his day.

It was amazing how clear it is inside of his mind, every detail was so vivid. From the way the girl pouted, how she frowned, even to how she laughed afterwards.

"Well, you have to be nice to a friend. Treat them well, okay?" His mother says with a smile and she softly caressed the head of her son.

Garen smiles as wide as rainbow, he nodded happily to his mother's advice.
