"Perhaps sacrifice could not be helped,"
Joseph uttered, as he felt exhausted, himself.
He knew that his sister may become angry,
But he had no other choice to free him.
So, despite the burning warmth in his chest,
He decided to flap his wings and try his best.
The demon was truly a work to fight,
Especially in such a place, where one wrong move could send it tumbling fast.
"The ceilings are failing and this place will collapse,
And yet somehow, this angel...is still too persistent to stop."
Jacob commented, his composure failing.
Especially when he saw how fast the angel had been.
His eyes were focused, merely blinking,
Trying to spot, the very real thing.
What Jacob thought would be an easy win,
Became harder when the angel changed form in a whim.
It was as though the heavens had heard him,
And now, a thousand eyes, appeared in his skin.
Joseph felt ecstatic when he saw the new change,
Had he finally been the level of the highest seraphims?
He flapped his wings with excitement, singing in delight,
As Jacob could not help, but feel a sense of fright.
He quickly tried to produce more,
Until he was in a flash, swooped in the air,
Fear and distress was what he felt,
And by the shock alone, he was hindered useless.
Joseph's eyes looked dry,
Yet with his victory, he managed to smile.
"You broke character, that's kind of sad,
Well, I hope this teaches you, to lower your pride."
The demon tried his best to break free,
But Joseph did not loosen his grip.
The demon screamed and beg,
But the angel had lost mercy by then.
"You are no longer Sellena's brother,
You are just a parasite, living on this boy.
If I kill you, his soul will be free,
And you, you filthy demon, will no longer have a body."
His expression were no longer of a sweet loving angel,
And that was when, Jacob discovered that false were the tales.
Angels weren't always all-loving and kind.
Once pushed to the edge, they could be far more scary than a demon and reaper combined.
What he doesn't understand however,
Was the fact that he lost.
He had a clear plan, and great power,
But still, he had not win his cost.
Joseph was about to kill him,
When he saw his bracelet, glowing vividly.
Its dark aura, too noticeable to ignore,
"What if...there's some other way to free his soul?"
He was about to touch the beads,
When he felt a sudden chill.
He stiffened, as he felt a change of air,
And it doesn't take a thousand eyes, to know a new person was already there.
"Who are you?" Joseph asked, trying to appear brave,
But the demon behind, did not quickly spoke.
That gave Joseph, even more reasons to panic,
And regretful, that he didn't consider blowing up the place.
"Let go of my friend, and I'll consider giving you another day,"
A deep voice, spoke to him, frigthening in a way.
Joseph tried to destroy the bracelet on his capture's arm,
But it proved to be a mistake,
When his own was severed down.
Jacob's bracelet did not break,
And he was quickly taken behind them.
And when the new demon, wearing a purple robe looked back,
Joseph had confirmed, this won't be a fair fight.
"Jacob, don't tell me you're afraid of this adorable little thing?
He doesn't even look like he could touch me,
Let alone, land a hit."
Joseph's eyes widened at the insult,
But was knowledgeable enough, to know it's the truth.
He knew no matter how much he tries,
This demon, will overpower him in a mile.
"You're not an archangel, aren't you?
How unfortunate, you'll die brutally and soon.
If I were you, I would have just surrendered,
It will truly, save you from more trouble,"
Joseph tried to shoot the ceilings,
Hoping that it would kill him.
But before he could do so, his remaining hand was cut abruptly,
And he could only freeze, not wanting to sustain more injury.
"You have some guts, but it would be such a waste,
I find your spirit endearing, and so is your faith.
You gave Jacob some sort of difficulty,
So perhaps your body could be of use, don't you think?"
Joseph's body trembled at the thought,
No way...it should not be, no matter the cost.
He does not want to be just like Jacob,
He does not want to lose control and hurt others.
And rather than wait to let it happen,
He chose the other path, no matter the process.
"I consider Death to be more inviting,
Do not even think of doing that to me.
I'd rather die than lose myself completely,
Yet knowing that my power will be used for your evil schemes.
You both, are also...in my eyes weak,
For you needed someone else, to do your bid.
You rely on a body, you rely on modifications,
You were so pitiful, born as nothing but a pawn to your master."
"That is not what I wanted to hear from you,"
Eligorr spoke, surprised the angel was bold.
Joseph's eyes showed no fear, no hesitation,
And in an unwavering tone, he spoke:
"You are nothing but a thief,
Who tainted a precious and beloved memory.
You do not know how different you are from the one you robbed from,
How much your soul reeks of dirt,
How pitiful you are to be born only to hurt.
You may have a new body,
Great powers and a chance to speak,
But you're nothing but a feeling,
Meant to be forgotten in a whim.
You weren't supposed to be born.
You are just a bad dream,
That everyone on earth would scorn.
You only exist to cause others pain and suffering,
How pitiful, truly, is your existence, of endless denying.
For I know, and will always know,
You will never feel happiness, even if you own the world."
The demon felt extremely angry,
His boiling rage, spilling out of him,
He rose his hand, his claws already retracted,
When he felt something, unusually happen.
Eligorr felt as if something inside him,
Was clawing his heart out, trying to escape.
He felt deaf to the echoing voice in his mind,
Cursing him, of using his hands.
Jacob felt weirded out of what had occured,
And tried to help him, but the demon pursued.
He tried to brush it off, despite the skull-crushing headache,
Even if half of him, was scared for his sake.
Joseph, who was sure he would be killed,
Was surprised when Eligorr turned from him,
The demon bit his own lips, trying to stop himself from breaking down,
As Jacob, walks forward, checking if he's alright somehow.
"Take the angel to Lucifer,
Make him suffer the most painful torture.
I don't care if he's strong or he can be used,
I just want to get rid of him, and as possible-worse,"
Jacob nodded and looked at the angel,
Who still had both of his hands severed clean.
The angel tried to fight back, but was completely overpowered,
"Don't even think about it, you're already worn-over."
.
.
.
Selaphiel tried to hide his sorrow when he looked at his hands,
He had just killed a beloved angel, to please 'his' demands.
Lucifer was joyous, as Selaphiel had proved his worth,
His dead eyes says it all, he doesn't side with the angels no more.
"So you hate everyone now, yes?"
"It's quite obvious, isn't it?"
"Well, I'm just making sure that it's not only Michael you hate,
But the entirety of God's beloved race,"
Selaphiel was about to speak,
When he heard another set of nearing steps.
Their eyes quickly adjusted to the newcomers,
And in a second, an injured angel, was thrown to their shoes.
Selaphiel's eyes could not hide the surprise,
When he saw the angel, with the warmest of smiles.
He was now, however, lessened to a panting boy,
Crying in disbelief, not understanding the things they've spoke.
He looked at Selaphiel with mixed emotions,
Sadness, anger, and confusion.
He tries to beg him, to dare explain why,
But before Selaphiel breaks down,
He bids the angel goodbye.
He turned around, telling Lucifer to handle the angel,
But when the angel screamed bloody, Selaphiel's heart fell.
He looked to see, what Lucifer would do,
But Lucifer only laughs, "He can be Beelzebub's food."
"Beelzebub, ah," Selaphiel muttered sadly,
When he remembers, the gluttonous demon's brutality.
To think that Joseph would be reduced to not a single bone,
Selaphiel's heart ache,
What a terrible way to go.
"I can hear Beelzebub walking this way,
I've memorized his footsteps, he's terribly hungry as well."
Lucifer says, and just like he proclaimed,
In just three minutes, the demon really came.
His eyes were filled with sorrow and loneliness,
Already tired, fed-up of the endless process.
He walked on four, salivating and stomach rumbling,
Hoping, that Lucifer has something.
But he did not expect to see a new ally,
The angel who cursed him so bad, he wanted to die,
Seeing Selaphiel, his trauma reawakens.
Tears falling, and body shaking.
Jacob dragged Joseph, when he heard Lucifer spoke,
"Fetch the other humans, those won't make him full."
Jacob follows, and duplicates himself once more,
And wasting no time, completed Lucifer's order.
...
Stacy walks out of the room,
Face filled with unspeakable joy.
She felt surprised to see Ken however,
Waiting patiently, on the end of the stairs.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, what's with the worried eyes anyway?
Satan is bounded by chains,
There's no way he'd hurt me,
No way he'd dare."
"I...just tell me if something is up, alright?
It's just that...your aura is...as dark as night.
If you feel any strong emotions, sadness or anger,
You can tell us, we're all in this together."
"Yeah, um, really, nothing's up,
I'm okay, and I'm tough.
I'm not feeling sad, nor angry,
I promise, nothing's up, apparently."
Ken would have tried to speak more,
But he heard Lluming, quickly spoke,
"Sellena is awake, you two should speak,
It's not everyday, you both have a chance to meet."
Ken's eyes widened,
From both anticipation and excitement.
He smiles at Stacy one last time,
Before he follows Lluming,
To meet Sellena in flesh, with his eyes.
"I wonder what she's like..."
Lluming on the end however,
Wonders when he could prove,
Stacy's danger.
"I hope the she-devil reveals herself sooner."
