Prologue

Well, my life hadn't always been great well I'll explain.

I lived a happy life with my parents my dad was always silly and loveable and my mom was strong and encouraging she would always tell me "Cora you are an amazing kid with a purpose like no other." And my dad would say "Cora when all else fails and you don't know what to do follow your heart cause with that you can never go wrong." I loved them both from the bottom of my heart and I still do, my parents died in a car accident on their way to a movie when I was 10yrs old after that I lived with my abusive uncle and his family, his wife and kids were friendly but to him, I was simply a burden he tried to rape me several times but I was always saved by his wife who would sacrifice herself in place of me, when I turned 18 I left, got a job and I was surviving since my uncle stole the trust fund my parents left for me I had few friends and didn't have the best apartment but it was manageable but life just felt incomplete all the guys I had ever met were pigs, they all tried to get into my pants and they all thought I was weird because of my blue hair it touches of black I never dyed it I had it since I was little but no one could explain it my mom was a brunette and my dad was a blonde it was very peculiar but I loved it.

But on one unexpected day after work I saw this cute kitten running around the sidewalk it looked lost so I wanted to catch and return it to its owner but every step I took towards it made run so I ended up chasing it round the sidewalk until it ran into a road, a car was speeding towards it without thinking a jumped into the road grabbed the kitten and threw it to the side walk but it was too late for me I watched kitten till I heard the screeching of tires then a loud boom, I was of my feet and felt myself propelling through the air then I landed with a thud I felt my body full with pain, a crowd had gather round me and the cat I saved came to where I was and rubbed it head against my cheek it was so soft and cute I mustered up a smile for it even though all I could hear was this ringing sound and muffled voices my eyes soon grew heavy and I felt sleepy but not tired the world around me began to blur and all I could hear was wailing siren though it sounded far away I tried to stay awake but it didn't work the last thing I saw was blue flashing figures running towards me everything was a blur the only clear pictures were the sky and the kitten beside me I gave it a smile then closed my eyes.

I woke up, on my side, someone had rolled me over I stretched then opened my eyes to see a cave wall littered with crystals.

'How did I get here?'I thought.

I closed my eyes when I heard a voice, "Don't go back to sleep wake up and answer my questions, I waited all this while for you to get up, strange thing."

Its voice sounded exasperated but it annoyed me. I opened my eyes to yell at whatever was talking but when I looked at what I was about to yell at I rethought my options, it may not be as big as I thought but I still don't what that to attack me, what stared back was nothing less than unbelievable, it was a gryphon. My whole paralyzed with fear, I froze I couldn't move or anything.

"y-y-you ar-are a gr-gr-gryphon." it gave me a confused look.

"Gryphon, I'm a gryphon so that what I am, ok and you are?" it asked in a meek voice. I took a deep breath and decided to be calm.

"I'm a human and why do you act as if you don't that you're gryphon?" I tried to say calmly but my voice still kinda shook, it tilted its head to the side to look at me.

"Oh simple cause I didn't know I was a gryphon, come to think of it I don't know my own name, I don't remember anything apart from waking up and see you in this cave, " it said simply while playing around

Before I could answer the cave began to crumble around us I..........................
