The Core

As Pops and Vain walked they felt relieved that they could soon reach the end of their journey as they had spent too long wandering the ruined forest section of the level. As they walked and talked, they kept a decent pace, but as if nothing wanted them to have an easy journey, they soon heard the sound of rusty metal scraping and creaking.

The wood around them also began to groan as several dots of lights in the wood moved away to reveal the light was coming from a strange mechanical robot. The robot was strange with red rust covering most of the metal, still, the robot had several branches and vines all around its body. Seven lights slowly got brighter indicating the awakening of the robots.

"Sentries..."

"What did it say we do when we see these things?"

"I think it was cover your ears and run because the scream..."

"It also said if there were too many to aim for the dim light on their chest."
