Strings from the Shadow 2

Silently gliding through the shadows of the city in ruins, I traversed another area, my puppet's senses keenly attuned to every detail. 

The air was thick with the acrid scent of smoke, rising from the flames that devoured everything in their path. 

Amidst the crumbling buildings and charred debris, an eerie silence hung heavy, pierced only by the haunting cries of those who had fallen victim to this terrorism. 

Their anguished voices echoed through the destruction, a chilling reminder of the devastation brought on the city. 

'I need to help them, at least,' I thought to myself, my heart softening at the sight of so many lives lost. 

So I used my ability to influence those who had survived the initial wave, then tell them one thing.

"Find a way to survive"

With my words, I tried to give them hope, so they wouldn't lose heart.
