The Goblin King's nucleus resembled a perfect ruby—dazzling and captivating.
Lin Moyu handed it to Ning Yiyi. "For you."
"Wow! So beautiful!" Ning Yiyi exclaimed, immediately recognizing that this crystal nucleus was special. As she received it, a wave of warmth enveloped her, dispelling any lingering chill.
"Is this the crystal nucleus of the Goblin King?" Her beautiful eyes sparkled with surprise.
Lin Moyu nodded.
Cradling the ruby-like crystal nucleus, Ning Yiyi examined it from different angles, her gaze filled with admiration. "Do you know its value?"
Lin Moyu shook his head, uncertain. He had first learned about it in the exchange, where the task was valued at 100,000 gold coins. Later, Wang Yi had mentioned it was worth at least 500,000 gold coins. However, Lin Moyu suspected it might be worth even more than that. After all, the young president of the Dynasty Guild wouldn't have been so enthusiastic otherwise.
Although the source was merely a low-level dungeon, the nightmare difficulty of such a dungeon was not something just anyone could tackle.
Ning Yiyi's spirits lifted as she said cautiously, "This is the core item of the Goblin King's Ring—BOSS jewelry—worth tens of millions. If this were to be traded, the price should be around 10 million."
Lin Moyu was taken aback. He hadn't expected it to be so valuable. Wang Yi's assessment had seemed overly simplistic, and it appeared he had underestimated the value by two zeros. The Dynasty Guild's valuation of 100,000 seemed almost deceptive for those who were not in the know.
For ordinary people, 10 million was an astronomical sum, but for Ning Yiyi, it was likely trivial. After all, she could easily give away intermediate skill scrolls valued in the tens of millions without a second thought.
Delighted by the Goblin King's crystal nucleus, Ning Yiyi accepted it with enthusiasm. "Thank you!"
Lin Moyu smiled slightly, happy to give her something she cherished.
After their meal, Ning Yiyi took Lin Moyu on a tour to familiarize him with Xiajing Academy.
In Xiajing Academy, there were two primary exchanges: the Empire Exchange and the Academy Exchange. The Empire Exchange allowed transactions in gold coins, while the Academy Exchange exclusively dealt in points.
Certain items could only be obtained through the Academy Exchange, and alongside these exchanges, there were dozens of skill training grounds scattered throughout the campus. Accessing these grounds required credits, and the Xia Jing Library—boasting a collection rivaling the Imperial Library—had a vast array of reference materials. While some books could be accessed for free, advanced materials also required credits.
In summary, without points, navigating the school was a challenge, as they were essential for anything beyond mere survival.
Under Ning Yiyi's guidance, Lin Moyu quickly adapted to the campus environment.
At the Academic Affairs Office, Lin Moyu finalized his admission procedures, most of which Bai Yiyuan had already completed on his behalf. Thanks to Bai Yiyuan's influence, the office staff treated Lin Moyu with great respect.
During his visit to the Academic Affairs Office, he inquired about Lin Mohan.
He discovered that Lin Mohan did indeed have an enrollment record, but her information was currently blank.
As he exited, a look of concern crossed Lin Moyu's face.
"Is Lin Mohan your family?" Ning Yiyi asked gently.
"My sister," Lin Moyu whispered.
He was puzzled as to why Lin Mohan's information was blank. Her enrollment record confirmed she had attended Xiajing Academy, so where was she now?
Ning Yiyi reassured him, "It's not uncommon for information to be blank."
Lin Moyu looked at her, hoping for an explanation.
"It's possible she's undertaking special missions issued by the school. Some missions are confidential, and their details can't be accessed during that time," she continued. "Alternatively, she may have left the school—not by dropping out, but by joining one of the affiliated colleges."
"Many colleges are affiliated with Xiajing Academy. They may seem connected, but they operate independently. For example, there's Chuangshen Academy, along with Shenlong Academy, Feitian Academy, and others. There are over a dozen like this. If she joined one, her information would also be unavailable."
"You don't need to worry; your sister likely just joined an academy."
Listening to Ning Yiyi's explanation, Lin Moyu felt a bit relieved. He had finally arrived at Xiajing Academy, and although he couldn't find Lin Mohan right away, he believed he would eventually locate her.
He remembered that the last time he had heard from Lin Mohan was three months ago. There had been no communication since, and he wondered if she was indeed on a mission.
"Everything will be okay," Ning Yiyi smiled, trying to comfort him. Her warmth felt like sunshine, easing Lin Moyu's worries.
"Thanks," he replied appreciatively.
"Let's get back to business," Ning Yiyi said, her tone shifting. "I'm here to introduce you to the school, but I have a mission to attend to."
For half a day, they strolled through the public areas of the academy, which occupied less than one-tenth of the entire campus. There were numerous colleges, and entry was restricted to those affiliated with them.
As they approached Qianlong Academy, Ning Yiyi and Lin Moyu noticed a group gathered, engaged in lively discussions.
"Yi is back!" exclaimed a tall woman as she spotted Ning Yiyi, rushing over to greet her.
Ning Yiyi giggled. "Sister Taozi, I brought someone along."
The woman turned to Lin Moyu, assessing him with curiosity. "Is this the one Lord Baishen mentioned?"
"That's him," Ning Yiyi confirmed, pulling Sister Taozi closer.
"Lin Moyu, this year's national champion," she introduced proudly. "Sister Taozi, our captain."
Sister Taozi introduced herself warmly. "Hello, I'm Jiang Taotao, level 23 Elf Knight."
Lin Moyu replied softly, "Lin Moyu, level 17 Necromancer."
