Unkept Promises

After telling my story Monika and Sayori felt a bit sad for me.

Monika: oh.. im sorry for your loss Kane-kun.

Kaneki: it's alright. to be honest I still blame myself for the death of my mom. but I'm going to do everything to keep my promise to mom that's why I'm here also because I don't want the Arch Demons to you know invade my world.

Sayori: alright in that case once we win this war I'll help you get more powerful.

Monika: same here!

they said proudly I was a bit happy hearing them say those words.

Kaneki: thanks you two. well in that case will you two join my family when we're done with this war?

Monika and Sayori: YES!

they said without hesitation these two girls are odd ones. they became friendly to me despite only knowing me for only a day.

next day

the next day Aqua gave us the information he got with the other survey demons apparently some artificial ability users got reanimated by using necromancy.

hearing that Monika and Sayori were more angry knowing the people they knew as family were being used as puppets for the war.

after hearing the information from Aqua, flint and sukuna immediately got more stressed. then a few minutes later we used the map of all the layers of hell thanks to flint and made a plan and Sukuna taught everyone hand to hand combat with ease with that Deimos summoned everyone with an announcement.

Deimos: welcome everyone, Humans, demons and other species today we're going to war with the Arch Demons and reanimated artificial ability users, this will be tough for everyone and right now I can sense many of you are afraid BUT! WE CANNOT SURRENDER! IF WE SURRENDER NOT ONLY HELL BUT EARTH WILL BE THROWN INTO CHAOS MANY FAMILY'S AND LIVES WILL BE DESTROYED SO PLEASE... FIGHT! NOT FOR YOURSELF, NOT FOR GLORY, BUT FOR EVERYONE WHO YOU LOVE! WHO'S WITH ME!?.

everyone was quiet well... besides me.

Kaneki: I'M WITH YOU MY LORD LETS MAKE THOSE ARCH DEMONS PAY! AND PUT THOSE KIDS TO REST.

with my voice everyone else was fired up.

Demon Soldier 1: YES! IM WITH YOU MY LORD I'LL AVENGE MY FAMILY!

Demon Soldier 2: LETS MAKE THOSE B*ST*RDS PAY!

Sayori: LETS MAKE THOSE ARCH DEMONS PAY PAINFULLY!, CRUELLY! LETS SHOW THEM WE AREN'T WEAK!

Monika: Sayori... IM WITH YOU LETS AVENGE THE FAMILY WE HAD AND PUT THEM TO REST!

Sayori and Monika were fired up the same goes for Flint and Sukuna but for Aqua...

Aqua: listen here kid I don't have much faith in you but you were right earlier when i tried to k*ll myself you were there for me and you were right family would be sad if i would die with regrets so please Kid if I die Can you kill those Arch Demons for me?

Kaneki: i promise.

Aqua: thanks kid.

after a few minutes we mobilized towards the forces of Arch Demons and reanimated artificial ability users but things didn't go exactly as planned we kept getting ambushed but Me, Sayori and Monika were able to take them on.

why? because we were training each other whilst fighting the enemies. i sent clones of myself to check on Miku every time she needed food or she needs help i can sense if she needs anything so that's when i summon my clone and when it's job is done it goes outside our home and disappears without being seen and it sends information back to me.

during the 9 days of the war... Me Sayori and Monika kept talking to each other when we were in the medical areas those 2 always talked about what foods they wanted to eat when we finally got back to Japan.

they said something like "when we finally move in with you let's eat ramen i haven't had that before I heard from some random girls when we were there ramen is really tasty" and "can you cook us omurice when we return to your home?"

i honestly wanted to be with those 2 when the war was over but then on the ninth day March 10, 2036 we were given orders.

Kaneki: What do you mean I have to escort you Deimos!

Deimos: apparently the new leader of the Arch Demons wanted peace you know not all Arch Demons are the same.

Kaneki: I know! but this feels off no one killed the leader of the Arch Demons so don't you find it suspicious that they're asking for a peace treaty even though the leader said they won't go for peace!?

Deimos: that's why i needed you and the other generals since you guys are the strongest amongst all of us.

Kaneki: but I can't let Sayori and Monika-

Monika: it's alright Kane-kun we'll be alright.

Sayori: Yeah! we'll be fine in case we do get ambushed you taught me and Monika everything we know we are stronger now thanks to you.

Sayori and Monika weren't against it they tried to calm me down but..

Kaneki: don't you two get it I can't go there without you two!? I've been with you two for 9 days I don't want anything to happen to you!

Sayori: don't worry Kane-kun just go with Demon Lord Deimos so we can stop this war.

Kaneki: how would expect me to go when you both go-

Sayori and Monika: it's because of you we've gotten stronger.

Kaneki: But!

Sayori and Monika: it's alright Kane-kun!

they said calmly.

Sayori and Monika: Hey Kane-kun let's go to Japan when the War is over.

those were their last words to me when i eventually accepted it me Deimos and the other generals were ambushed and me Deimos were able to k*ll the ambushers.

Deimos told me to go to Sayori, Monika, Flint, Sukuna and Aqua.

i immediately went running to them but Flint, Sukuna and Aqua were already dead and when i finally saw Sayori and Monika they were beaten up so bad i tried to save them but they were shot by one of the reanimated ability users.

they died in front of me. i held their bloodied bodies and i blamed myself for not being able to keep my promise and not being able to protect them.

then everything went blank next thing I know I was at the castle a few hours later.
