Chapter 16

I saw Post come down and get Melissa. She went upstairs, and a few minutes later, she came back down with Dominique. Was Dominique really that embarrassed by what we had done? Or was she ashamed of it? I watched her walk over to the bar, and Tim walked over. He sniffed the air and said something to her. She said something to him, and he went to fix her a drink. I could tell he was very unhappy about something. I grinned. He could probably smell her and what we had just done. Of course, she wouldn't smell like me because I hadn't physically touched her. Nevertheless, it still made me happy that it pissed Tim off.

He stood there looking at Dominique, and I was not too fond of how he was looking at her. I was ready to jump up and attack him when Dominique stood up and started to walk over to the table. I watched her, and she stopped, hesitating to come over. She finally walked over and sat down across from me. I smiled at her, and she blushed.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" she asked.

"Well, I'm not, not enjoying it. I feel great. Your machine works, and it works really well. I feel like I just had great sex, and my body responded to what it felt in there because I got the effect of it on the outside as well. I had to go to the bathroom and get cleaned up. Did you have the same effect?"

"Yes," Dominique said as she blushed again. "That's the whole point of the machine. That's why I wanted to create it so anyone could go anywhere or do anything they wanted without getting into trouble."

"Well, I must say, you did it. But now I wonder if you will have anything else to do with me. Are you going to shut me out now that we have had sex?"

"Technically, we didn't have sex. We imagined having sex," Dominique said.

"If we both got off, then I have to say we had sex. It's much like phone sex. You don't technically touch each other, but your words do, and the other person enjoys it and orgasms," I replied.

"Um, yeah, I guess. I'm not sure how I'm going to act around you now. You already knew I found you attractive, but you didn't know how I acted during sex. And you didn't know me well enough to know what I liked or didn't like before. So now you know an intimate part of me that only one other person ever knew," Dominique said as she looked over towards the bar.

Tim was staring at us. He had a scowl on his face. Tim's scowl turned into a sneer when I looked towards the bar. I just smiled as I knew what Tim was thinking had happened. It hadn't physically happened, but it definitely felt as though it had. I was most pleased.

"Well, I would definitely like to help you. Would you be interested in having an investor on the machines? I think you have a fantastic idea. Furthermore, I would love to be that investor since I have personally tested it and know that it works."

"I, I don't know. I never thought about having an investor. I just have the two here that were made."

"That may be true, but they are ground zero. Imagine having a whole building full of them, and people must make appointments to get in them. You would be making money hand over fist in no time," I said.

Dominique sat there for a few minutes. I waited as the wheels began to turn in her head. As usual, she was overthinking this. Investors were usually silent partners that just profited off the company. They didn't have to be any more than that.

"I can tell you are overthinking things, Dominique. We would have contracts, and I would fully expect you to read them through before you sign them. I would not do anything to hurt a business that I was part of, no matter what happens between us."

"Wow, you really did know what I was thinking. I guess if you want to come up with the contracts, I will look them over and see if I'm okay with you investing in the machines. It depends on what you are wanting and offering, I guess."

"Alright. I will get the contracts started immediately. I think we will make a lot of money, Dominique. More than you ever thought you would."

"I'm not really that big into money. I'm comfortable, and that's all I need."

"Nothing wrong with having money, Dominique. You can do so many things with it. I help people a lot. If I didn't have it, then I couldn't do that. So don't always assume that having money makes you vain or selfish."

"I didn't say that. Just," Dominique started to say as she stopped and looked at the door.

"Dominique, is everything alright?" I asked as I looked at what she was staring at.

"I don't know. Those two girls that were in the park the other night are back again. One of them showed up here the other night after Tim. I asked him about the people in the park. He said they were trouble. The one that is trying to climb over the bar is Roxy. Tim told her not to come back here. Excuse me, Nathaniel. I have to go handle this."

I watched as Dominique went to the bar to speak to the woman from the park. I crept up behind them and listened to what they said to each other. I could tell Dominique was upset by Roxy claiming she was the bad guy in their relationship. She looked at Tim like she was trying to figure it all out, but he just looked down. This couldn't end well. Dominique went to show Roxy the door, and Roxy raised her hand. I grabbed her wrist and twisted it. She howled in pain.

"You'll heal from this quickly. I know what you are. Next time you won't be so lucky. Don't threaten Dominique or attempt to hit her again," I whispered in her ear.

Roxy snarled at me as she said, "I'm coming for you, and I'll have my people to back me. But I'm coming for her first. And since Tim is one of us, he'll have no choice but to join in."

"I could care less about Tim. Frankly, killing him off would be a favor to me. But I'll be waiting for you, and I won't let you anywhere near Dominique," I snarled at her as I let her wrist go.

"Your pet will die at my hands before this is over," Roxy said as she walked out the door.

Dominique looked at me quizzically, but I just shrugged. It's not like I could tell her that she was the pet Roxy had referred to killing. I walked over to the bar where Tim was. Tim nodded at me. I knew he had heard what Roxy and I said to each other.

"So, I know you heard. Do you stand with your people? Are you going to hurt Dominique?" I asked him.

"I would never hurt Dominique. Not intentionally anyway. I know I've hurt her in the past because I kept secrets from her, and I wasn't able to control my anger back then, but I'm different now."

"I'm going to be watching over her. So, just as long as we understand each other, all should be well."

"I'll be watching over her too. I don't know what you think you have with Dominique, but I've known her longer, and I love her," Tim said.

"Someone like you would not understand what I have or feel for Dominique. I will tell her when the time is right, and she will understand," I said as I walked away.
