Chapter 405: The Group Is Destroyed, Black Zetsu’s Thoughts!

The ninjas at the black market exchange were utterly stunned.

It was one thing for Tsunade, as Reiki's teacher, to show up. But why was Orochimaru here?!

Among the money exchange's underground networks, Orochimaru was infamous. His reputation as both dangerous and deceitful was well-earned. Many had partnered with him only to be double-crossed later. Now, seeing him standing alongside Konoha's finest, they knew they were in trouble.

"Fire Release: Toad Oil Bomb!"

The battlefield erupted as a massive wave of fire scorched the surrounding forest, clearing a wide area. Gamabunta's attack, combined with the destructive power of Manda and Katsuyu, created an open field where the battle could unfold without hindrance.

Tsunade stood atop Katsuyu, her presence exuding dominance. Together with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, she entered Sage Mode. The oppressive aura from the three Legendary Sannin, combined with Minato's precision and Kushina's raw power, left the hired ninjas frozen in terror.

"This intel was completely wrong!" one mercenary whispered, trembling.

"Konoha's three legendary ninjas? The acting Hokage? What are they doing here together? Aren't they afraid Konoha will be raided in their absence?!"

"Konoha raided? With Madara Uchiha still alive, who would dare?!" came a calm voice from behind.

The mercenary barely had time to react before Minato's kunai pierced his chest.

On the other side of the battlefield, Kushina unleashed her full power in her tailed beast mode. Her chakra flooded the area, and her senses located every hidden enemy. With raw, overwhelming attacks, she decimated the opposition.

Hundreds of highly skilled jonin-level mercenaries and black market ninjas were eradicated in less than an hour.

Reiki didn't even need to lift a finger.

"This almost feels unfair," Jiraiya remarked, though he didn't hesitate to collect the potions Reiki handed him earlier.

As the battle wound down, Minato approached Reiki with a group of incapacitated ninjas.

"Seven jonin, captured alive. Can we trade them for potions at the same rate as before?" Minato asked with a smile.

"Of course," Reiki replied, handing over a set of potions and activating treatment mode.

Jiraiya, observing this unusual system, turned to Minato. "Wait, you're telling me these ninjas can be traded for potions?"

Minato nodded. "Reiki uses their unique physiology and injuries to hone his medical ninjutsu. As long as you're on a mission with him, you can trade captured ninjas for potions. It's become something of an open secret in Konoha."

Before Jiraiya could comment further, Manda slithered forward, spitting out several nearly dead mercenaries.

"Orochimaru, clean them up," Manda said.

Orochimaru obliged, using Water Release: Water Severing Wave to rinse the bloodied ninjas clean.

Reiki glanced at Manda, curious. "Do you want a potion too?"

Manda nodded, rolling a potion bottle toward Reiki.

Reiki handed him a bottle of Dragon Essence Potion. "This is more suited for you."

Manda's pupils narrowed to slits as he consumed the potion. His body trembled, and with a puff of white mist, he vanished, clearly pleased with the effects.

Jiraiya sighed, looking over the battlefield. "These guys were supposed to be professionals. How did they fall so easily?"

[Dead mercenaries' thoughts: "You're one to talk! You're in Sage Mode, smashing us to pieces and then blaming us for being weak?!"]

Minato chuckled. "Clean up the battlefield. Once Reiki finishes his treatment, we'll head back toward the village. Any incoming enemies should think twice after this display."

The sheer strength of their team meant that even a Kage or jinchūriki from another village would hesitate to approach.

Meanwhile, Black Zetsu received word of the battle.

"What?!" he exclaimed, his usual composure slipping. "All three Sannin, the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki, and the acting Hokage were there?!"

The reporting ninja, who had used his contract to observe from a safe distance, nodded nervously.

"Yes, and... they were all in Sage Mode. The Sannin's power has reached a new level. Kushina Uzumaki has perfected her control of the Nine-Tails, becoming a perfect jinchūriki. Namikaze Minato's Flying Thunder God Technique is now nearly impossible to counter."

Black Zetsu's expression darkened. His initial plan to manipulate Reiki into destabilizing Konoha now seemed laughable.

"Understood. You may go," he said tersely.

As the ninja departed, Black Zetsu sat in deep thought. Reiki's earlier confidence now made perfect sense. Konoha was stronger than ever, and their team's display of power was more than enough to justify it.

"It seems the boy wasn't bluffing after all," Black Zetsu muttered.

After careful consideration, he began recording the details of Konoha's current strength. This information would soon be disseminated to other villages.

"They won't sit idly by while Konoha grows unchecked," he mused. "This will be Konoha's ultimate test. If they can handle this, then perhaps... working with them isn't out of the question."

For now, Black Zetsu would retreat, waiting to see how the ninja world responded to Konoha's overwhelming resurgence.
