Crouching Infront of a pond Shitsuya could be seen with his sleeves rolled up and his hands plunged in the cool water.
Injecting his chakra into it he did his utmost to stop it from dissipating as he concentrated on using his chakra to move the water.
The water rippled and roiled before a small column of water rose from the surface.
It took all of Shitsuya's effort to hold the shape of the palm sized water column.
But even with all his effort he could only hold it in place for a dozen seconds before it collapsed and Shitsuya layed on his back, his head hurting.
After after mastering water walking he searched for a way to increase his chakra control.
His efforts bore no effort as fully mastering water walking seemed to be the full extent of chakra control training.
That was until he asked his mother who told him that apparently the Uchiha clan used to have a special group of kunoichi who they used for important spy missions.
In order to make sure they wouldn't be found out they couldn't increase their chakra amount so as not to draw suspicions.
And so they used a special chakra control training to push their control to inhuman levels of precision.
It was even rumoured that they could all use ninjutsu using a single hand though his mother said that those were probably rumours.
The technique was quite simple in concept, first by releasing chakra outside of the body and into water forcing the chakra to stay together and not disperse even after leaving the body.
The next step afterwards was to use the chakra to control the water without any handsighs.
Once a person could shape a thousand butterflies using the water they could be said to have achieved maximum chakra control.
For Shitsuya how couldn't make even a single butterfly, reaching a thousand seemed impossible.
Even so he kept trying, having his entire chakra drained without making any progress, Shitsuya finished his practice for the day.

A few weeks passed and the academy had finally started getting interesting.
Classes related to general education such as history, geography and culture were added into the curriculum.
Sparring sessions between students were also introduced.
Shitsuya didn't take the opportunity to wipe the floor with everyone and instead kept a low profile, preforming at an average level.
Shitsuya was very interested in the history of this world so he took the opportunity to thoroughly learn.
The anime only revealed a small piece of the background of this world.

Back at home, Shitsuya's mother, Kurumi Uchiha was hanging some clothes when she received an unwanted visitor.
Sitting across from her leisurely sipping tea was a grey haired older woman who's face bore a striking resemblance to that of Kurumi.
"Why are you here?" Kurumi asked her mother in a harsh voice.
Raising an eyebrow, Kurumi's mother asked "Is that any way to talk to your mother?"
"As far as I'm concerned you're not my mother." Kurumi said and folded her arms.
"All I wanted was to secure a good future for you but you still don't get that even as a mother yourself?" Kurumi's mother said.
Before Kurumi could argue, her mother cut her off. "I'm not here for you today, I'm here for little Shitsuya."
"What do you want with my son!" Kurumi slammed the table.
"He's already 6 years old isn't he, but hasn't been taught our clan's signature jutsu." Kurumi's mother said.
"I'll teach him myself." Kurumi's said.
"We both know that's against clan traditions."
"I don't care."
Sighing, Kurumi's mother held her head. "The role of teaching the clan's jutsu falls to the father, in their absence the role falls to the next available MALE family member, his grandfather will be teaching him."
Kurumi balled her fists. Her husband was dead and her father in law as well so that left only her two younger brothers who were still in the war and her father.
Taking Kurumi's hand in her own, her mother said, "I know you don't like us anymore but do it for your son."
"Ok" Kurumi said with her head low.
Once her mother left Kurumi went to the bathroom and stared at her face in the mirror.
She hated herself. She was born to two Uchiha jonins, her father had participated in both countless battles in the warring states era and the first great ninja war while her mother was also a highly competent ninja.
When she was born she had many high expectations placed upon but no matter how hard she worked she could never awaken her Sharingan and even failed the chunin exams 4 times.
She could feel the disappointment in her mother's eyes and the distain in her father's cold gaze.
The birth of her twin younger brothers who were both geniuses made her mediocrity even more apparent as they both became jonins before adulthood earning even her father's praise.
As for her, she was forgotten and disdained. But in the depths of loneliness she found her true love.
He didn't care that she was untalented not did he care about her family's opposition to their relationship.
He, a mere no name chunin stood Infront of her high and mighty father and declared that he would marry her no matter what.
Kurumi, after a life of loneliness could finally find happiness as she lives blissfully.
Their days got rough after the birth of their son and his overly strange behaviour but Kurumi didn't care, as long as she had her husband by her side she could do anything.
Sadly he left before they could grow old together.
Closing her eyes, Kurumi opened them to reveal her two tomoe Sharingan.
Her childhood dream was achieved but Kurumi had no more happiness.
