[Chapter 15] Spar

The next day,

"Where will the spar take place, Sensei?" asked Ryo.

"We are going to another forest in the village, which is where I used to train. You can use your lightning mode there without any hesitation also, the Hokage has ordered the Anbus to leave", Shisui said, leading the way.

"Good morning Ryo, Good morning Shisui" ,

Minato greeted them as they reached the sparring place.

It was a big patch of barren land, surrounded densely by trees.

"There is no need to hold back, I have put a barrier around, so no one will be able to spy on us", said Minato as he walked towards one side of the training field.

Ryo looked at Shisui to which Shisui reacted by nodding.

Ryo hopped on to a tree and started removing the weights he wore on his legs.

He had two sets of weights on.

As he dropped them,

*Boom*!! A crater was created as the weights touched the ground. The dust rose, making the area a blur, leaves shook violently and the surrounding birds flew far away due to the sound. It was truly an unexpected sight.

'I knew he had weights on but to think that they weighed so much as to create a crater!!! How can such a young boy be capable of this feat, even Kakashi would pale in comparison to him when he was of that age!! Just how much did he train?!'

Minato thought with widened eyes and a baffled look as soon as the weights hit the ground.

After a moment, the dust settled down.

Just as Minato was about to say something, Ryo's body got surrounded with purple blue lightning! His eyes glowed so bright, it was as if current had passed through them.

*Crackle* *Crackle* small lightning discharges surrounded the entire field.

*Gasp* "You have exceeded all my expectations by a big margin, I don't have anything to say, it is just too amazing" , Minato said, not knowing how to react.

After a moment of calming down,

"Let's start the spar" Minato said and then disappeared from his position.

Appearing behind Ryo with a kunai in his right hand, he was about to knock him out.

Ryo narrowed his eyes and deflected Minato's hand using his left palm with optimal movements.

Making contact, both Ryo and Minato slid backwards.

Ryo took his Sword out from the scabbard and held it in front of him with his right hand.

The sword got coated with lightning, making *Zzzzzz* sounds.

'Perfect shape transformation!', Minato said in his mind.

Ryo rushed towards Minato at full speed, leaving a purple blue lightning trail.

Seeing this, Minato infused wind chakra into his kunai, ready to block Ryo.

Just as he was about to clash with Minato, Ryo vanished and appeared on top of him and slashed his sword.

The slash was about to hit Minato when, *poof*, Minato disintegrated into smoke and appeared behind Ryo, striking his palm on his back.

Ryo flew forward and was about to fall when he regained his balance.

"Wind Style Air Bullets!", Not giving Ryo time to relax, Minato shouted as multiple air bullets shot out of his mouth, going towards Ryo.

Ryo lifted his Sword and swung it with perfect flow, cancelling all the incoming bullets.

After blocking the bullets, Ryo immediately slashed his Sword diagonally and a curved slash with pure, concentrated lightning went towards Minato at a very high speed.

"Wind Style Great Breakthrough!" Minato shouted, *Swoosh*, a huge air current appeared and slowed down the slash, but did not cancel it.

Minato teleported on top of a tree using ~Flying Thunder God~ just before the slash was about to hit him.

Missing Minato, the slash hit a tree and completely destroyed it, even a few trees behind it fell down.

'Oh no I got carried away!', thought Ryo.

Minato was surprised yet again and then immediately formed a ball concentrated with chakra on his right palm.

'The fight is getting out of hand...', thought Shisui with a worried look.

Minato threw a kunai towards Ryo and teleported in front of him, completely catching him off guard.

Just as the Rasengan was about to hit Ryo, Minato teleported again, in front of a tree and hit it with the Rasengan.

*boom* the trunk of the tree got blasted and it collapsed.

Seeing this Ryo was amazed and thought,

'So fast!! And that Rasengan too.....'

"Let's end the spar here", said Minato with a smile, interrupting Ryo's thought.

Ryo heaved a sigh of relief and put his sword back in the scabbard.

Shisui and Minato walked towards Ryo with an impressed look on their faces.

"I can't believe what just happened, this should be impossible for a ten year old to pull off", said Minato, still a little surprised.

"Your control over lightning is extremely good, actually it should be impossible... and your kenjutsu is beyond the level of a Jonin", continued Minato.

"Thank you for the praise Hokage Sama", said Ryo with a smile.

"If you don't mind me asking, can you tell me how you trained?" Minato asked with anticipation.

Ryo told him about how he trained every day for the sake of protecting his family and also his Sensei.

Hearing Ryo, Minato was speechless and thought,

'He want's to protect his family, he has this burden form such a young age. He is willing to dedicate every minute to train for this.... such an amazing child.'

After a while,

"Ryo you should take a break today, it is important to rest too", spoke Shisui.

"Hmm..... I was thinking of taking a day off for a while", said Ryo.

"Yes, you should", added Minato.

"I will be leaving then, goodbye", Ryo said as he flickered away.

"His control over lightning should be close to impossible..... do you know anything about it Shisui?!" asked Minato.

"I don't know but I trust him, that is for sure" said Shisui.

As Ryo was leaving he chuckled and thought,

'Hehe.... I can learn the Rasengan now, but I will start learning it from tomorrow, let's rest today.'
