Chapter 65: Lightning Style

Haru entered into the living room to see Tsunade already awaiting him on the couch.

She raised an eyebrow at him as she asked "What took you so long dad?"

Haru blushed as he remebered Ayako from the night before, though he quickly played it off as he headed towards the door and spoke in a serious voice "Follow me."

The two walked through the clan compound and arrived at the Senju Clan training grounds.

"Alright Tsuna, let's begin." Haru said as he walked in front of Tsunade and made sparks appear on his hand.

"Lightning Release could be called the most powerful of the 5 chakra natures, or at least in my opininion. It can be viewed as the most destructive form of ninjutsu, as well as the one which gives you the greatest boost in your speed. Low level users of it will commonly enhance their weapons with it, increasing is cutting and penetration power. From increasing the speed of your thoughts, to making your weapons vibrate to increase their sharpness, Lightning Release can easily be viewed as this best chakra nature to use in battle.

However, Lightning Release is also the most difficult of the 5 chakra natures to use at a higher level. Lightning Release inately is destructive and wild, therefore it can be difficult to shape it. Anyone who wished to become great users of Lightning Release must have trained in both Lightning Chakra transformation and Shape Transformation. Only those who have achieved mastery of both of those can be viewed as a true master of Lightning Release.

As you know, Lightning Release is naturally strong against Earth Release, due to the impurities in the earth, while weak aganist Wind Release. Becasue of this, most shinobi who use Lightning Release usually learn other chakra natures to better their chances in combat. In your case, it can be extremely effective as Lightning Release can amplify itself when used with Water Release, as it creates a numbing effect that can slow down your opponents movements and leave them open for another attack.

Now, I'll show you a Lightning Style ninjutsu and I want you to use it after me." Haru finished before he started to weave handsigns so that Tsunade could see.

"Lightning Style: Lightning Beast Tracking!!"

Haru yelled as he emmitted a hound from his hands that went in the direction on a tree, completely destroying it.

Tsunade then began copying the signs, with Haru guiding her through the steps to perform it.

"First, mold your chakra to convert into electricity and guide it into your hands." Haru said.

Tsunade found that she had much more difficulty when converting her chakra into lightning than she did when she changed it to water or earth. Tsunade simply attributed this to her possessing Wood Release, making her affinity to Earth and Water extremely strong.

"Next, begin to shape the lightning into the shape of a hound. This part will be particularly difficult, though I think you should be able to do it thanks to your phenomonal levels of chakra control."

Tsunade did just as she was told, with the Lightning reaching her hands, before she finally discharged it as she yelled

"Lightning Style: Lightning Beast Tracking!!"

A smaller hound came out of Tsunade's hands as it smashed into the ground in front of her, creating a small pit that began to smoke.

"Very good Tsuna, however we'll now begin the difficult part of you training. We'll have to focus on increasing you nature transformation of Lightning to better help you use your Lightning Release. We'll begin by you using your Lightning Chakra to destroy these rocks." Haru said told her.

From that point forward, Tsunade training for the Chunin Exams began.
