Chapter 33 : Dangerous Nature

While he was walking on the road to his destination he heard someone gossiping about something that seemed important with how low and discreet they were talking when he was passed by the people who were gathering on the little alleyway.

Kai tries to get closer when he passes by them while acting as a kid that were playing with his bird, even though he has been seen by people who are gossiping they are just ignoring him when they know he was just a kid.

"Yes, I saw that he was leaving the village again even though he was just getting back from his mission with many dead ninjas and wounded ones."

It seems they are talking about asuma, the son of the third hokage that was told to leave the village in the story after having an argument with his father and choosing to become 12 ninja guardians.

Kai was quite impressed; they dared to talk about the son of the hokage even though they didn't mention the name it was still quite brave in his opinion.

Feeling that nothing was too important Kai continued his walk to where the forest he wanted to visit was.

After running for a while he finally arrived at the entrance of the forest, it was the most dense forest that was currently in the village that was still relatively safe.

"Ōmu go look scout ahead."

*Squawked

Kai instructed his parrot to scout ahead while he prepared everything from the backpack including the kunai that his father gave him.

His objective of course was not solely to just have fun and enjoy the scenery of the forest but he also wanted to find interesting things in the forest that he might find familiar from his previous life with either a fruit or spice that was still not used by the people in his new life.

He also wants to try to hunt animals with his parrot to increase their teamwork and bond.

At first he was planning to just set up a trap where his parrot was going to annoy the target and lure them into the trap.

To practice setting up traps that he learned during his study in academy.

But since his father give the kunai he also wants to try fighting a hog in the forest to test his ability.

After everything was ready he saw from afar his parrot come back to him and land on his shoulder.

"Safe." *Urrrr

"Good job Ōmu." Kai praised his parrot while giving him a treat as a reward.

Feeling ready with all of his preparation to starts exploring, he finally enter the forest in hope to find new things that might he can use to make new food in his store.

While walking exploring the forest Kai uses two of his focus abilities from his eyes that he currently uses on the terrain and another focus he uses to search for something.

After exploring around the forest for a while he sees so many interesting things inside it but unfortunately he doesn't seem to find any new fruit or vegetable.

While standing to look around he sees his parrot flying towards him and landing on his shoulder.

"Do you see something Ōmu?"

"Pig-Pig." Squawked

"Good job Ōmu."

After giving his parrot another treat Kai proceeded to set up a snare trap with the material that he already prepared from home.

After finishing the trap mechanism Kai spread the powder that was used to mask his scent.

"Ōmu go annoy the hog to come to the trap."

Kai said to his parrot while climbing to the branch of the tree hiding while he waited until the hog arrived.

After waiting for a while he saw some movement that was getting closer with the sound of his parrot getting louder taunting the hog.

"Baka buta (stupid pig)." x2

*Squawked

After his parrot passed by the trap, the hog who followed behind was trapped because of the momentum it was running.

Jumping from the tree Kai holds the kunai in his hand and aims it to the head of the trapped hog.

After a little bit more movement the hog finally stopped moving, which was a sign it was already dead.

Taking his breath held his heart that was still beating because of adrenaline from the action.

"DANGER-DANGER." x2

Hearing his bird warning Kai looks around him and sees the clouds of dust from a far that was before covered by the first hog now getting closer to him.

Without wasting time Kai runs to the direction where the exit of the forest is while his parrot keeps shouting.
