C-Rank Mission

As soon as Sasuke saw the pitiful state of Kakashi, he threw his shurikens towards him. Kakashi, who was still on the ground and rubbing his groin, barely managed to perform the substitution jutsu. As soon as Kakashi disappeared, Sasuke started to search for him.

"Let me just watch them from here," Naruto thought to himself as he went and sat on the stump he was originally sitting on. He grabbed a lunch box and started eating from it while watching the drama unfold.

Even though he had eaten three bowls of ramen just a few hours ago, Naruto was the type of guy who would eat something even if his stomach was full. To be exact, he saw all the fights as entertainment and just wanted something to eat while watching them.

Soon, Sakura also came out to help Sasuke find Kakashi. They looked at all the trees and bushes but weren't able to find him.

"All three of them are idiots," Naruto thought while eating a rice ball. All Sasuke and Sakura had to do was search for blood drops to find Kakashi's location. If no blood drops were visible, it meant Kakashi was below the ground.

Naruto didn't really understand why Kakashi used the same technique after getting kicked in the balls because of the same jutsu. But he soon made sense of it since it might work on Sasuke and Sakura, considering how idiotic they were acting.

"Ahhhhh!" Sakura suddenly yelled as her leg was grabbed by Kakashi from below the ground. This time, Kakashi didn't yell the name of his jutsu like last time. Soon, Sakura's entire body was below the ground, apart from her head.

"Kakashi!" Sasuke yelled as he threw shurikens towards Kakashi. Kakashi dodged them, though not easily, as his groin still hurt and his left leg was also injured.

"A trap!" Kakashi thought as one of the shurikens thrown by Sasuke hit a rope behind Kakashi, triggering a mechanism that sent many knives charging towards him.

As soon as Kakashi managed to dodge the knives, Sasuke attacked him with a kick. Kakashi blocked the kick with the back of his hand before grabbing Sasuke's leg and lifting him upwards.

Sasuke attacked with another kick, but Kakashi managed to stop it too. Sasuke then tried to punch him, but Kakashi threw him aside before he could land the blow.

Ding Ding

Sasuke was just getting ready to attack Kakashi again, but the alarm clock rang. It was already noon.

"Okay, time's up. Both of you failed," Kakashi said as he looked at Sasuke and Sakura. Even though he was acting tough, his balls still hurt.

"Now go and eat your lunch," Kakashi said. Although his bell test hadn't managed to make the three work together, he hoped his lunchbox idea would. He had only bought two lunch boxes, and there were three people to eat from them. They would have to share, and even though it wasn't much, it could at least help them form a bond.

But all three of them saw that Naruto had already eaten all of the lunch boxes and was giving them a mocking smile.

Naruto wasn't the least bit worried or guilty about what he had done. For him, only the result mattered, not the process. It wasn't his fault that Sasuke and Sakura were weak and pathetic and had their lunch eaten. In this world, power could bring anything, and lacking power was the biggest sin, Naruto thought as he ate the lunch boxes.

Five minutes later...

"I have an announcement to make. All three of you passed," Kakashi said with a sleepy expression to Team Seven.

As soon as he said that, Naruto was already giving him side eyes. "What does he mean by all of them passing? I was the one who broke your balls and stole a bell," Naruto's thought probably.

"But... I will take another test later," Kakashi said. He just wanted Team 7 to bond with each other and develop teamwork, but nothing like that happened.

Naruto, who Kakashi thought was the odd one out, turned out to be the best one. Even though Kakashi wasn't using his full strength, stealing a bell from him was still a big achievement for a fresh graduate.

Sasuke was also good, just below Naruto. As for Sakura, Kakashi couldn't really say much since she was kind of... useless throughout the whole test.

"What did you mean, we all passed sensei?" Naruto asked as he jumped from the stump he was sitting on before continuing " Wasn't the one who took a bell from you supposed to be the only one to pass and others will be send back to the academy"

"Well... since you are the only one who was able to take a bell, you already passed. As for Sakura and Sasuke, they just need to be trained a bit more to reach your level," Kakashi lied, as he had no other idea what to do.

He hadn't even thought that someone would be able to take a bell from him, and now he couldn't fail Naruto since he passed, nor could he fail Sasuke or Sakura.

"Whatever," Naruto muttered and sat on the stump again. He wasn't really frustrated about Sasuke and Sakura passing; he was just curious about what these Leaf shinobi even did for training, as he had run away from the village and never really had any teacher in his past life.

"They aren't all that special after all," Naruto thought. If the punishment for the test could be changed this easily in Konoha, then it was just like other villages—pathetic.

While both Sasuke and Sakura had happy faces, with Sakura yelling in happiness and Sasuke just looking less emo, Naruto remained indifferent.

Three days later.

"Here is your cat," Sakura said as she handed a brown cat to the wife of the daimyo of the Land of Fire.

It was actually her pet cat, Tiger, which had run away. Team 7 was assigned to catch her. It wasn't hard for Sakura, considering most of the work was done by Naruto and Sasuke.

"Lord Hokage, can we accept this mission?" Naruto, who was standing close to the Hokage's desk, asked as he saw a C-rank mission file. To be honest, if it wasn't for something he wanted from Konoha, he would have already left, considering just how many useless missions they were making him do.

But the mission he saw was perfect, as it was to escort an old builder to the Land of Waves. From what he remembered from his past life, there was a Kekkei Genkai user in the Land of Waves around this period.

In his past life, he had been busy hunting down lava release users and the Chinoike clan, and wasn't really able to go to the Land of Waves before the Kekkei Genkai user was already dead.
