Naruto: Tales of Ashihara
Kakumei – Arc 4: Might Makes Right
.
Chapter 103 – True Origins
.
On the great pathway that leads to the Fire capital's main center gate, ninjas of the Daimyo's personal guard and soldiers of Kakumei are engaged in a severe battle between each other. In the back of the battlefield, two brothers, Oshio and Izuna Uchiha, are opposing their might. Izuna struggles to stand his ground but does his best, knowing it is the only thing he can do.
The two Uchihas compare their Taijutsu skills in which they seem to have a similar level. The superior speed of Oshio is perfectly matched by Izuna's greater strength, but he still takes it easier than his younger brother.
"Impressive moves." Oshio says. "Nearly as good as Kawaki's friend from Kumo. But you're not willing to keep this up forever, are you?" he adds before opening the eye in his left palm.
Shinra Tensei
To interrupt this hand to hand combat, he pushes Izuna away, to the middle of the battlefield, before sending a plethora of black rods down on him. The Konoha-nin takes cover with a new ability.
Susanoo
Izuna summons his own Susanoo rib cage to protect himself and blocks all the coming projectiles. Oshio sees it in the distance and comments on its color.
"White, huh? Interesting." he says as he unleashes the half body of his own version of this jutsu. "Perfectly contrasts with mine."
To oppose the power of his brother, Izuna shows off his Susanoo at the same stage. A muscular oni creature wielding no weapons other than its fists, brought to oppose Oshio's bigger armored black berserker. These two chakra monsters get closer to each other and confront their hands. They start an arm wrestle that the shorter one wins. Izuna's Susanoo makes Oshio's arms bend and hits him with a headbutt to the chest to push him back a bit. Before the black armor is repelled, the white oni catches its hands again to keep this confrontation going.
To make his superiority clear to his taller opponent, Izuna's oni steps up from the ground, showing his complete body that rises above Oshio's berserker. Seeing this remarkable effort for a new Susanoo user, Oshio decides to humble his brother.
"You'll make yourself go blind with such efforts." he comments before showing his own Susanoo's full body.
A complete mystic armor dwarfing Izuna's model whose head doesn't go higher than the chest of his opponent. The two giants, around 40 and 50 meters tall, keep their wrestling going at full power before Oshio brings an end to it. He raises his arms, lifting Izuna's oni off the ground, and gets to his knees while throwing it down, to crash the creature into the ground, onto the army of the Daimyo. While it stands up, Oshio's Susanoo pulls out a weapon that Izuna can't replicate.
Futsu no Mitama
He tries to push this ethereal sword down on his opponent who manages to hold it back with his two hands. Not strong enough to force through, Oshio kicks Izuna's oni in the torso and sends him to fall down on the battling armies again further away. The white Susanoo quickly gets up and attacks at long range.
Katon – Susanoo Gokakyu
The oni makes the tiger hand seal with its hand and shoots a huge fireball from its mouth, brought up to scale for the colossi. Oshio sees it coming and simply slices through with his sword, completely absorbing the fire thanks to his Rinnegan's power. However, while the fire covers his sight, he doesn't see Izuna hurry up to him with a burning fist.
Susanoo Enken
The Uchiha of Konoha uses his signature move through his Susanoo and punches the black berserker in the belly, resulting in a massive fire column pushing it far away, several hundreds of meters down the road, away from the battling armies and city. Hit right by this last strike, the berserker has a massive hole through its torso and belly that Oshio doesn't leave as is. Tired of holding back, he uses his Susanoo's full power again.
Kanzentai Susanoo
Izuna, in his 40 meters tall oni, looks forward and sees a 200 meters gigantic figure appear, spreading its wings and lifting itself from the ground. Even though he already saw it sooner, he's impressed now that he can really feel the difference between his power and his brother's. Still, he has to go on because it's all he can do. The white oni clenches its fists and runs forward to the giant.
Not much surprisingly, Izuna's Susanoo is only kicked away before having time to attempt anything. Sent to flutter through the air by a foot that's nearly its size, the oni flies over the whole battlefield and lands in the city, close to the slit left in the ground by Oshio's first attack. He stands up and looks in the distance to see the Perfect Susanoo rise up and flap its wings to leap toward him.
The simple movement of its wings was enough to provoke a wind strong enough to lift the fighting soldiers off the ground and trouble the field. The giant samurai reaches Izuna's oni from above and tries to stomp him down with the same foot as earlier. Once again, Izuna tries to resist and stops the foot with his arms. However, the difference in size is too significant, and staying there is too dangerous. Therefore, Izuna leaves the area using his eye power.
Ameno Hohi
In just an instant, he appears by Oshio's side, behind him in the forehead of his Perfect Susanoo. There, he immediately tries to punch him in the back, but Oshio feels the wind pushed by his fist before it reaches him. To escape, he uses the same skill.
Ameno Hohi
Doing so, he avoids his brother's strike and appears behind at his turn. He doesn't even try to strike Izuna. He just stands in his back waiting for him to notice. When he does, he quickly turns around and tries to hit Oshio again, who calmly stops his punch by grabbing him by the wrists before he can give enough strength to his fist. The younger one tries to teleport away once again.
Ameno Hohi
This time, Oshio, staring into his brother's eyes, notices something. Right before Izuna uses this jutsu, he sees his eye pattern slightly change as he looks over his shoulder. The black point in the middle of the scope turned red for an instant. Thanks to this and his gaze's direction, Oshio anticipates where Izuna transports himself and strikes first.
Kokushin (Black Receiver)
Izuna appears in his brother's back again, but is immediately stabbed through the stomach by a black rod that absorbs his chakra. Out of surprise, he freezes for a moment as Oshio pulls him closer and explains himself.
"This is a weakness I didn't expect you to have." he says. "When you use Ameno Hohi, your eye pattern changes. My Eien no Mangekyo Sharingan's pattern, however, doesn't. It just goes to remind you that whatever power you were given, it isn't enough to keep up with me."
After these words, he throws his brother and leaves him to fall down in the chakra pool that fills his Susanoo. Not yet done with him, he attacks again before Izuna can focus. He sends dozens of rods down on him, and stabs through his limbs and chest. Izuna is pushed down until getting nailed by these rods to the inside of the Susanoo's neck.
Oshio sadly looks down at his brother and prepares one last receiver to finish him off.
"I should have gotten you killed sooner in Minoka's lab." he says. "It would have spared you these pointless efforts."
Izuna, frustrated by his brother's sudden tone, yells out his determination. "SHANAROO!" he screams as he pushes himself forward, forcing the many rods completely through his body but freeing himself. Oshio watches, amazed, at this indomitable will demonstration, and waits. Once out of this hold, Izuna does the tiger hand seal again, but for a completely different jutsu this time.
Ninpo Sozo Saisei – Byakugo
The seal on Izuna's forehead shines and blooms, spreading black strands all over his body, and leaving him to fully use the chakra he loaded up until now. As soon as unleashed, the chakra accelerates the healing of the many wounds caused by the piercing rods, leaving Izuna unharmed in just a few seconds. Oshio sighs, embarrassed that this will have to go on for longer.
"How convenient." he says again, seconds before Izuna leaps forward to him, readying his fist.
Oshio gets ready to dodge the next hit, but surprisingly, Izuna doesn't wait to reach his target to punch. The force of his fist through the air alone is enough to push Oshio away to the other side of the Susanoo's skull. Unsettled by this odd strength, Oshio is also angered. Understanding that distance would be at Izuna's advantage, he decides to shorten it.
Bansho Tenin
With this jutsu, he pulls Izuna closer to him and profits of his surprise to grab him by the face before smashing his head into the Susanoo's barrier.
"What do you keep fighting for? It's no use! I won't change my mind, and you won't kill me!" Oshio complains as he pushes his brother's face two more times into the wall.
"AAAHHH!" Izuna yells before grabbing Oshio's head as well. "I still need answers!"
Holding his older brother by the back of his head, he smashes him only once in the Susanoo and pierces a hole wide enough for a person to pass through. Oshio is nearly knocked out for a moment, but focuses again and grabs Izuna by the collar to throw him out of his armor. He then makes a series of hand signs.
Katon – Ryuen Hokka
Kakumei's Uchiha shoots a series of dragon shaped great fire balls that fall on his brother, who immediately reproduces the jutsu thanks to his Sharingan. All the flame heads crash into each other and cause a massive fire cloud in the sky above the city. When it settles, Izuna doesn't fall to the ground but is instead lifted higher in the sky by a strange attraction force.
Chibaku Tensei
Oshio threw a point of gravity in the sky that now brings the ground under the army and the debris of the village toward it. Izuna, pulled by it as well, directly decides to stop it. He gathers his strength in his fist, and concentrates spinning flames in it.
Cho Rasen Enken
By punching toward the attraction center with this whirlwind fire fist, he creates a massive fire tornado that engulfs it and annihilates its gravity, undoing the Chibaku Tensei. Oshio looks at this, impressed again. For Izuna to know about the weakness of this jutsu must mean that his sensei or their mother prepared him for it. After this, Izuna lands on a roof in the city by using Ameno Hohi and looks up to see his brother, still in his giant armor.
"I'm still fighting because I need answers." he says, which Oshio reads on his lips. "I need to know who you are. In Hikari, you told me that what I learned from your grandpa wasn't true. What is then? I know I can't win this fight. I know it's a lost cause, but at least I can get the answers that our dad couldn't."
Oshio gets at ease in his armor and looks down at his brother. He sighs, and then lightly smiles, amused that the mystery he nourished until now is such a concern for his brother. He stands no chance anyway, and there is no reason to keep these secrets hidden, so he might as well confess. However, Oshio isn't as sure of victory as when he arrived. In the center of the destroyed city, he senses a warrior that may equal, or even surpass him.
.
In the ruins of the castle, Boruto Hyuga is enjoying himself more than ever in an effortless battle against whom he chose as rival. He is just discovering the incredible speed, strength, durability, perception and countless abilities he unlocked with his new eyes and self. This uncontrollable feeling of power makes him express an unbound joy that he can't even hide.
The annoyingly wide smile on his face is terribly infuriating for his opponent. Kawaki is excessively surprised and confused by what's happening to him. He can't believe that the person he's fighting is the same boy faced during the chunin exam and 2 months ago in Hikari.
Right now, it feels like Boruto, the one he already proved himself superior to twice, is toying him around. Every hit he doesn't land frustrates him more and more, and couldn't even touch him once since the fight began. This struggle reminds Kawaki, unfortunately, of his unfair fight against Sasuke Uchiha. Just like back then, he seems to hear a stranger's voice demanding him to stop this battle.
For the Hyuga, this fight has been long enough. He doesn't feel the thrill he should from fighting this opponent. His smile slowly wears off as he realizes he may have gotten too powerful for what he wished. Annoyed by these thoughts, He quickly decides to finish this battle. With a simple palm strike, he smacks the black staff away from Kawaki's hand.
To end this fight cleverly, he gathers lightning within his right palm in an instant. Kawaki takes a step back and crosses his arms that he shapes into a shield, unknowing of what is to come. Boruto, with his left hand, makes the ram hand seal and vanishes to get around his opponent's guard.
Hiraishin
Using another mark he posed in Kawaki's back during this fight, he gets behind his right shoulder, where the general's Byakugan can't see, and promptly slices his left arm off with his Chidori, separating him from the limb that carries his Shojo seal, the main source of his power. Kawaki looks at his arm falling down, eyes wide open, and sighs, ready to accept his defeat.
"No. You will not lose here." the familiar stranger voice tells him in his mind again. "I give you all the power you can bear. Do not dare dying here."
This voice, Kawaki just ignored it until now and assumed it was just Oshio using the white receiver to communicate with him. But now, this voice sounds more clear and he can obviously hear that it isn't his friend's.
Suddenly, the skin and flesh from Kawaki's left shoulder erupts, lengthening itself, and attaches the falling arm back where it should be. Boruto makes a surprised face, certain that this wasn't something Kawaki was supposed to be capable of. Added to this, he now senses a much more consequent chakra in his opponent. A chakra that surpasses his own. Kawaki, already used to this newly emerged strength, attacks again.
Katon – Goen Messhiki (Great Flame Destruction Ceremony)
Without any hand sign needed, he expels a mass of flames from his hand, pushing Boruto away. Protected by his chakra mode, the Konoha-nin is unharmed but is certainly startled. As he gets back on his feet, he sees Kawaki use the same jutsu again but to a much larger scale. A gigantic cloud of flames that covers all the ruins of the feudal temple appears.
Coming aware of another ability he has that fits his need, Boruto absorbs the flames that reach him. Realizing that he can just passively let his chakra mode absorb jutsu, he does so, leaps toward Kawaki through the flames and readies his hands to use Juken. Kakumei's general sees it coming through the flames with his eyes, that are now both red tainted Byakugan, and prepares to mirror him.
Raiton – Hakke Nihyakkugojuuroku Sho (8 tigrams 256 palms)
Boruto goes ahead and hits Kawaki at incredible speed 2 times, then 2 more, 4 more, 8 more, 16, 32, 64, and goes on with 128 more with his lightning-covered hands. At each strike of each series, he felt an equivalent hit on him, from Kawaki's claw fingers stabbing through him as he was copying his opponent all along. When both are done with this blitzing offensive, they stand back to back a few meters apart, and both suddenly bleed out vigorously.
Boruto's strikes had no effect on Kawaki's tenketsu, since his chakra now navigates freely in his flesh and blood, not limited by his human chakra pathways. For Boruto, his chakra cloak turns off for a moment, only to go on again a few seconds later, thanks to his chakra leaking from his eyes. Boruto partially heals, while all of Kawaki's wounds close up with his cells stitching back together.
"Whoever my body belongs to doesn't want me gone, it seems." Kawaki remarks aloud.
"What did you say?" Boruto asks, not sure if he understood correctly.
To this, Kawaki doesn't reply. Instead he turns around and opens his left eye wide, shining red.
Kosengan
He shoots his most powerful jutsu, with both eyes and much more power than ever before, toward Boruto who escapes it with Hiraishin. The insanely dense chakra beam fired from Kawaki's eyes annihilates everything in its way and reduces it to ashes. Every building as far as he can see completely vanishes. Boruto reappears in his back, on the same jutsu formula as earlier, and takes advantage of Kawaki's attention being on his own attack.
As he gathers lightning in his palm to prepare a Chidori, he unconsciously unleashes 3 black floating orbs that he unknowingly controls. These orbs gather and spin in a circle around his hand, so fast that they form a silver ring that nourishes the energy of his lightning blade.
Ginrin Chidori (Silver Wheel Chidori)
He lands this brand new jutsu in Kawaki's right shoulder, on his mitsudomoe tattoo, and totally obliterates it. The blast of this jutsu causes a thunderstorm and a flash that goes as far as Kawaki's Kosengan beam did. Boruto looks forward, seeing the aftermath of his own move and is astonished. This really makes him feel worthy of Sasuke's training. This makes him feel like a god. And that his opponent suddenly became just as strong cheers him up even more.
The chief general of Kakumei is pushed far away and stands up. His shoulder slowly repairs itself again, but the tattoo and the white rod that Oshio had sealed in it have been totally destroyed. He looks at it, unbothered, and stretches to go back in action.
.
Still in the city, closer to the entrance, Oshio's Perfect Susanoo raises his Futsu no Mitama ready to plunge it down on Izuna who stands on a roof in front of him. Before he does, he feels his connection to Kawaki disappearing. He looks over to the center of the village and sees a thunderstorm growing to cover the whole city and battlefield. The giant samurai takes a few steps back, closer to the forest on the right of the capital's entrance, and thinks for a moment.
Down on a roof of the city's entrance district, Izuna looks up to his brother and waits to have his attention again. Since fighting won't get him the answers he wants, he tries a different approach. With his Byakugo still fully unleashed, he gets at ease, spreads his arms open and waits.
After watching the battle in the far distance, while thinking of his friend's and his own will to live, Oshio looks down again and sees Izuna with his arms open wide, ready for dialogue.
"I told you I just want answers now." Izuna yells. "There's not much I can do other than talking."
"You won't change my mind, brother." Oshio replies, coldly.
"I don't care. I just want the answers that our dad couldn't get." Izuna repeats. "Who are you really? What was wrong in what Jin Heihachiro told me? You can't tell me his memories were fake!"
"… Izuna, do you consider me your brother?" Oshio suddenly asks, very seriously.
"…" the Konoha-nin doesn't reply at first, unsure about the meaning of this question. But seeing Oshio wait, he goes with what first came to his mind. "I don't think I'd be here if we weren't really brothers. We do have the same father after all."
"The same father, uh?" Oshio thinks aloud, while looking at his brother. He sees his pink hair strands, red clothes, round face and Byakugo seal unleashed on his body. "You took way more after our mother."
Izuna just squints and doesn't reply. These words make allusion once again to that time he called Sakura "their" mother in Hikari's underground. Why does Oshio, who certainly knows what woman he was born from, raised by, and whom he loved as a mother, still call another person by this word.
"You really never put the pieces together?" Oshio asks with a mocking tone.
Izuna still doesn't reply. He just lowers his arms and waits for him to explain what seems so obvious that he can't see.
"If you want the truth, I'll tell you, not that it will ever matter." Kakumei's Uchiha declares, before giving away the most complete confession he's ever made. "Thing is… Sakura Uchiha is my mother. I am the only living person to know it, but I was indeed supposed to be born the first son of Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha… However, I was carried and delivered by another woman who raised me as her child. A woman who couldn't get in contact with my father and introduce me to him. A woman who wouldn't find it unbelievable for me to be hers. A woman who would simply love me as her son, and that I would love as my mother, until she can be taken away from me, to make me stronger."
"Dariha Heihachiro…" Izuna thinks, not knowing how this story is supposed to make sense, and not daring to interrupt Oshio's monologue that goes on.
"18 years ago, our dad followed Tsubai Minamoto to his home village, Ryuka. My home village. There, he briefly met Dariha Heihachiro, but he also reunited for the first time since the Great war with his soon to be wife, Sakura Haruno. At the time, Sasuke was after an enemy called Katashiki Otsutsuki. A member of a celestial clan that manipulates chakra, life and nature at their will. These individuals are capable of sensing anything that has a fate. Anything that nourishes life."
Izuna squints, starting to make believable conclusions from the bits he hears. Oshio goes on.
"So, when Katashiki met Sakura Uchiha, days after her reunion with Sasuke, he could already feel the son that had only just been conceived. This information, being that the Rinnegan user of Earth would have an offspring, Katashiki valued it and transmitted it. There comes Momoshiki Otsutsuki. He, who was only waiting for his time to come to Earth, had an acquaintance in common with Katashiki. A third party that was an ally to both of them. This person gave the information of my soon to come existence to Momoshiki as an exchange money for a service that I ignore. And so Momoshiki came to know me, even before my own parents."
"Now, to give the answer you're waiting for… Kamimusubi. It is the name of the jutsu that Momoshiki used to make me his own. It is a Genjutsu that breaks the barrier between illusion and reality. At full potential, it manipulates nature, life, future, past, and anything that the user can think of. This jutsu, Momoshiki used it to rewrite the past. He made an illusion world in which I was the son of Dariha Heihachiro, and made it merge into reality from the moment he cast it. And so, the universe had to go on thinking that I, Oshio Uchiha, son of Sakura and Sasuke Uchiha, was the son of another woman. Momoshiki stole an unborn child from a woman who didn't even know she was pregnant yet. This way, he managed to keep me and my ancestry aside, without having our father know of me."
Izuna Uchiha stays silent as always. With his eyes wide open, skin going pale, and mouth standing agape, he feels like vomiting for a moment, finally brought to understand and accept what all his family was blindly believing until now. Oshio continues.
"Momoshiki did not stop there." he adds. "He waited for his time to come on Earth, and finally made use of me. He killed Dariha right under my eyes and made me awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan. Then he fed me a fruit that gave me the Rinnegan. Once ready, all I was supposed to be, if his plan went perfectly, was a host for the chakra that he'd harvest from Earth. A host that he'd then consume to absorb all the powers of, just like he had planned for Kawaki, Akiko, Fuyuko and Meinu. However, aware that people, not from Earth, but others like him, could try to stop his rise and bring him down before he'd be done with his task on this world, he prepared me as an avatar. A plan for reincarnation. Right as we speak, Momoshiki's chakra is growing inside me, taking my body, my genes, my soul over. If I live long enough, he'll achieve his resurrection and I will become him…"
"... You may think that taking my own life would be a solution to get rid of Momoshiki. It certainly would but it is not possible. I am unable to kill myself or let myself be killed. I've tried. I told you already. For what you mentioned earlier, I even tried to give my life away to bring back our father, but I can't. Momoshiki's curse on me, on all the members of Kakumei, on Shin no Kuni, and on the world, will continue to exist forever and will direct history just as much as Kaguya's burden did before him."
Coming to the end of his monologue, he leaves Izuna with one important question.
"... If what you say is true, then why do you keep gathering power?" the younger brother asks. "If you're doomed to become Momoshiki, it means you're only weakening the world and giving him more power."
"Not exactly. I am not all doomed." Oshio explains. "There is one way for me to prevent Momoshiki's resurrection. It is by reaching the Absolute Spirit… When Momoshiki gave me the chakra fruit that gifted me the Rinnegan, he had no control over what happened to me. I was only sent, by the juice of that meal, to an inner world, the Rikudo realm, where all lives are shaped. There, I came to a vision. The sight of a glorious, complex, form that looked at me with an eye I should have forgotten. Meeting this imprisoned spirit is what made me the new person I became. And I know that, by meeting it again, I can change a second time. I can change my body, make the growing power of Momoshiki my own, or simply suppress it. To meet this being, I need to transform myself again. By uniting all the Biju inside of me, I will obtain a might similar to that of the 7th Hokage. Then, using this power, I will do just as Momoshiki did. I will conquer worlds, nourish myself from its energy until the Rikudo realm opens its doors to me again, and leaves me to break the curse."
"And from there on, my plan goes as I told you. I will have obtained the one might to make right. As sole leader of this world, I will protect it from invaders… The jutsu that I mentioned earlier, Kamimusubi, is something that Momoshiki could only do once, using the piece of power he stole from another member of his clan who owns this jutsu and created it. This person, the one who told Momoshiki about me, the man who killed our father, and whoever gave you these eyes… They're threats that will come to prevent us ninjas from reaching their level. To oppose them, no army or union will be enough. All that works against singular incarnations of powers such as these gods is another one like them. Naruto Uzumaki alone lacked the courage needed to take on these people alone. Our father isn't there to help him anymore. So there is only me left to assume this responsibility. I shall be the sole power who represents order for ninjas, and adversity for gods. I shall be the superior spirit that brings peace to humanity."
Izuna makes a disgusted face, angered by the unbound stubbornness of his older brother. Having a sudden headache, he holds his forehead and realizes that the pain comes from his eyes and not head. It feels like he is slowly losing sight again. Just now does he remember that the god who made him these eyes made mention of a temporary gift.
Oshio notices Izuna's ache, but before he can comment, and before Izuna can worry more about it, their attention is drawn to the battle that takes place in the center of the city. There they see a gigantic golden chakra beam that pierces the sky and falls down to Earth to confront an intense massive red flash. In this incredible confrontation, Oshio and Izuna feel the remaining power of their respective friends, Kawaki and Boruto.
.
Over there, over the ruins of the flattened castle and its surroundings, seconds before this cataclysm occurred, Boruto and Kawaki were standing in the air, both levitating above the city. Face to face and nearly out of breath after a fight in which none of them took the upper hand, Kawaki looked at Boruto who now had 9 black balls like the 3 he used earlier floating around him.
"All these new abilities just from these new eyes?" he said aloud, tiringly. "To think that you could have awakened this 2 months ago in Hikari if I didn't stop it… You could have stopped us way sooner."
Boruto, as silent and tired as his opponent, analyzed him as well, but still with a bright smile on his face.
"Wouldn't you have gotten that same sudden rise in power as well?" he replied. "Your abilities, your eyes, your chakra unbound by its pathway system,... You're just like the celestial beings that Sasuke-sensei described… But why?"
"We're both short on time, aren't we?" Kawaki ignored the question and asked. "You need the victory you wanted. And I still serve Oshio. We should end this now, with all we've got left."
His pair of Byakugan shines red again as he gathers all his chakra in them to shoot a final beam aiming to finally kill Boruto. The yellow haired Konoha-nin can't use Hiraishin to get away anymore, because Kawaki, during this battle, found a way to get rid of his marks by removing his marked cells. Left with no possibility to escape, Boruto accepts this final confrontation.
He lets his instincts lead him and uses another newly discovered ability. This time, the 9 Gudodama that revolve around his body gather around his raised left hand and spin in a circle. Just like the 3 orbs that formed a silver ring around his hand earlier, the 9 objects together get so fast they shape into a golden wheel that then emits an intense solid light. The flash elongates itself toward the sky along Boruto's arm. It becomes a golden blade, so long it seems infinite, that Boruto throws down on Kawaki as he fires his ultimate attack.
Hakai Kosengan
Kinrin Tensei Baku
The divine golden sword interrupts the plasmic chakra cannon and reflects its light, resulting in an intense red flash going through the whole north region of the land of Fire, all the way to Konoha.
The golden truth-seeking blade slices through the beam and reaches the soil in which it cuts as easily as in butter, leaving a clean straight line going from the center of the city to the sea on the land's east frontier. The beam, split in two, bursts forth to the sky and completely cleans it, chasing all the clouds over the region, and totally nullifying the still active thunderstorm.
In this cataclysmic confrontation, the two young men have put all their might to end a battle that they were eager to bring this far for 2 long years. Only one of them, the strongest of his generation, will be left standing.
