Kakashi made a very serious mistake. He did not request reinforcements from Konoha during the mission in the Land of Waves. Naruto is in the house and saves Tsunami and Inari, but arrives a little late. Sasuke received minor wounds and cuts. Together, Naruto and Sasuke try to fight Haku, but Sasuke is killed when he protects Naruto, who still has cuts and wounds. Naruto is in shock and is momentarily knocked out. Haku attacks Sakura and Tazuna, and Sakura is killed. Kakashi intervenes to protect Tazuna, but is seriously injured and passes out along with Tazuna. 

At that moment, Naruto awakens in a state of deep rage with three tails of Kyubi chakra and massacres Haku, Zabuza, Gato, and his men who had just arrived. But that's not the only thing that happens. Sasuke's blood is on Naruto, who is injured, and it enters his bloodstream. When Kurama's chakra comes out, the wounds close and the two DNAs merge. The Kyubi chakra flow unlocks the Rinnegan in Naruto. Kakashi wakes up and sees Naruto with chakra and talks to him. Naruto is angry, but he is in control and calms down when he hears that Kakashi and Tazuna are alive. However, the Rinnegan remains active until he further deactivates the chakra in his eyes. Kurama notices how Naruto and Sasuke's DNA are mixing, and he notices the Rinnegan and decides not to cause any trouble. So, he gives as much chakra as possible without driving Naruto crazy. Kakashi notices the Rinnegan and tells Naruto not to send any more chakra into his eyes, and it works.

When they return to Konoha, Kakashi takes all the blame on himself because he is the jonin sensei and has made numerous mistakes with the team. Normally, the council, or at least the civilians, would put Naruto on reserve or take away his ability to be a shinobi altogether, but they need him now. They lost the Sharingan, but now Naruto has the Rinnegan. To be useful, however, he must be trained and will receive training from various senseis. Kakashi is disliked by everyone, but Hiruzen forces him not to commit suicide and as a first step toward redemption, he must train Naruto in everything he knows and can no longer be a pervert or lazy. Every Icha Icha book of Kakashi is burned, and no one sells them to him anymore in the Land of Fire by decree of Hiruzen and the Daimyo. Kakashi can't be late anymore, or the Hokage will demote him to chunin or worse. No more standing in front of Obito's fake grave for hours or other trivial things.

As for Naruto, he becomes much stronger. The senseis are the main ones when they have time or together with their teams, plus Anko and Yugao for Kenjutsu until Jiraiya arrives. This creates a bond with other genin that wasn't there before. Naruto is traumatized by the deaths of Sakura and Sasuke and needs people his age with whom he can connect and recover emotionally, so he spends time with all the teams. The deaths of Sasuke and Sakura also change the other new genin. This shows them that being shinobi and kunoichi is dangerous, and they can't joke around or be lazy because they might be the next to get hurt or die.

In this story, Hinata and Ino are the main wives, but Tenten could be added because Neji has to marry into the clan (if he survives), and Naruto becomes more friendly with Team 9 too. Orochimaru can no longer obtain the Sharingan but now wants the Rinnegan and the body of the most powerful jinchuriki (excluding the Ten Tails). However, he underestimates Naruto, who at this point has a good relationship with Kurama and has become immensely strong thanks to training. Considering he was trained by Might Guy and, unlike Rock Lee, he has Kurama who helps with fatigue and damage, Naruto quickly becomes very strong and fast. He escapes and doesn't get curse marks or anything.
