Chapter 1: Jutsu System

I grab onto the jutsu scroll laid out by my sensei as he continues to pass one out to every student in the classroom.

"Make sure not to rip or damage these otherwise you'll be banned from using any of the training equipment here. Do you all understand?"

After a few seconds of silence most of the students respond with a loud yes.

Despite that, it was very obvious none of them carried about whay their sensei was talking about by the way they hurriedly opened their scrolls.

That's fairly normal, its the first time we've actually touched any sort of jutsu scroll ever. Granted, its only a very basic fire style jutsu used for starting campfires.

As for why I'm not excited?

Its because of my unique power and background.

[Fire Release: Burning Wood

A D-Rank jutsu released by rubbing fire nature chakra between your hands to start a fire. This fire is extremely weak and is only used for lightning campfires.

Would you like to learn this jutsu?]

Yes that's right. My unique power is a system that works very similar to an rpg game. It has very common tropes of video games; inventory, equipment, skills, classes, familiars, and even hp.

In comparison to my special power my background is even more shocking. I'm originally from a world with no chakra, shinobi or kage. Where this world itself was just a popular Japanese cartoon.

For whatever reason I woke up in this world with a system. As to who or what brought me here? I don't have the slightest idea, even so I've tried my best to rationally live my new life here.

Its only been a two months since my arrival here and I'd say I've adapted fairly well. I get along with my new mother and I've gotten good grades in the academy ever since the start of the new year.

The quality of my life has decreased dramatically but at least I've found a new hobby and interest.

Jutsu.

I've only learned one jutsu so far, but just that one jutsu had allowed me to find out a lot about the system.

For example, the leveling system.

The leveling system of mine doesn't have anything to do with murdering people or repetitive physical training.

I level up based on how much I can increase my control and skill over the jutsu I've learned. The jutsu I know will give varying amounts of experience based on how well I've mastered them.

This experience allows me to level up which in turn gives me stat points as a reward for every level increase.

I have discovered two levels of mastery, novice and intermediate. Achieving novice gives 10 points of experience while intermediate grants 100.

Embarrassingly my status panel is still pretty plain...

[Yasushi Konda

Lv. 4 (40/80)

Class: N/A

Familiar: N/A

Equipment: N/A

Health: 15/15

Chakra: 20/20

Stat Points: N/A

Skills: Sickle Weasel Technique (Intermediate)]

Sickle Weasel is the only technique I know and I found it by complete accident in my deceased father's office a bit over a month ago.

Its not a particularly powerful technique in the grand scheme of things but its definitely better than anything taught in the academy by a long shot.

[Wind Release: Sickle Weasel Technique (Intermediate)

A C-Ranked jutsu released by forcing the wind in a small area of 10 meters to collide into itself in a upward motion, creating a sharp vortex of wind that travels up. More experienced users of this jutsu can effectively trap their opponents for short periods of time.]

The best part about the system is that it allows me to learn any jutsu if I have the scroll in my hands, regardless of chakra control or natural affinity. It doesn't make the scroll disappear or be damaged in anyway either, so there is no detriment.

I also don't even have to attempt to improve in using the jutsu. Simply using it repeatedly is enough to increase my mastery over it.

I've kept track of how many times I've used this jutsu and I've come to a conclusion. Jutsu, at least C-Ranked wind release jutsu, need to be used 50 times to reach novice mastery and to reach intermediate mastery a jutsu must be used at least 100 times.

As of now I can use Sickle Weasel 4 times in a row. It takes about a day to fully recharge my chakra. If I assume that I need to use a jutsu 250 times to reach a level of mastery above intermediate then I need 25 more days to reach it.

With just a single C-Rank jutsu I can't be sure of my calculations. One thing I do have complete confidence in is the inventory.

The inventory allows me to store basically anything that isn't alive. Rocks, books, and even a liquid like water. Not only does it allow me to store things it also gives me a basis to rate the quality of something.

Take my clothes for example.

[Yasushi's Pants (Common)

Cream colored pants made of denim.]

The most lowest quality is common while the second lowest is rare. I've only found a single rare item, that being the scroll my father left behind.

[Sickle Weasel Scroll (Rare)

A jutsu scroll containing the method to use the Sickle Weasel Technique]

In comparison to how both skills and the inventory works all other areas of the system are completely blank.

I known absolutely nothing but I do have a few suspicions just based off common video game knowledge.

Familiars should just be animal companions capable of using skills themselves, basically the equivalent of summoning animals capable of jutsu in this world.

Classes is much more vague as they have been interpreted as many different things in many different forms of media.

Considering that I'm in Naruto classes might refer to the level of shinobi or maybe the type of shinobi like medic nin or anbu. It might also signify the elemental jutsu that I can learn, or even kekkei genkai that I could obtain.

Either way until I get a class myself I don't have any affirmative confirmation that any of my suspicions are correct.

Hopefully its not too long until then.

Please leave some ideas for future jutsu or kekkei genkai.
