A Random Forest

- 3rd Person Pov -

"Come on Kai, You should be able to go faster," Lee taunted as they sprinted through a forest that was near Konohagakure.

Kai couldn't help but wonder how Might Guy was finding these locations, especially since he hadn't seen anyone nearby.

As for the objective for today, it was simple. To run through the entire Forest and beat some dangerous beasts as well with nothing more than Taijutsu. Of course Kai planned on concealing his 'Fist Of The Strong' style and go ahead with basic academy taijutsu.

The reason was that he couldn't reveal his Fighting style was that it was a trump card, although he was sure Lee wouldn't spread his Taijutsu, There were other possibilities of someone being in the forest. And his Chakra sensing abilities were only minimal so he couldn't rely on them that much.

Kai looked at Lee and bit his lips, his gray eyes filling up with determination as his speed increasing. Lee's eyes widened in surprise for a moment before he too increased his speed, The two of them becoming blurs to the surrounding area.

Kai leapt backward and evaded a spray of poisonous liquid, Lee did the same thing and they landed on the same branch.

As for the source of such a dangerous fluid, Kai found it to be a blob of a slimy organism, It was about the size of Gaara.

"Guy-sensei calls them Slimes," Lee informed Kai as they jumped into the air again and a ball of poison crashed onto the branch.

As they fell, Lee smiled.

"Slimes are formed from a great amount of Chakra and a decomposed corpse of a living organism," Lee said, then scratched the back of his head, "At least that's what I think Guy-sensei said, As for defeating them, A strong enough Jutsu will suffice but Water style doesn't affect them and then you can always use Taijutsu,"

Kai watched Lee, his eyes widening as he saw the black haired boy reach out and his hand caught a tree branch.

'I didn't even know we were so close to the ground,' Kai thought and then he watched Lee who vanished, only to bounce off the tree and bring his foot down on the slime causing a minor explosion as small rocks were thrown into the air just by the power behind that kick.

Lee threw a thumbs-up at Kai who had dropped down on the ground.

As the two of them continued running, Kai couldn't help but think about Rock Lee's strength.

Was it that he was stronger because he was sub-consciously opening the gates? Or just because his Taijutsu was more powerful. For some reason, Lee's strength didn't make any sense.

He could understand his strength, It was granted by the items that he had gotten from the System. He had become the strongest rookie, He was able to beat Mizuki and he could confidently say he would be able to land some hits on Orochimaru himself but Lee was... different, Sure he was familiar with the Story, A Ninja that wanted to prove his Ninja way but his strength was something else.

Kai bent over and coughed, his lungs greedily sucking in air as he looked at Lee who was stretching.

It had only been six days since he started training with Might Guy and unfortunately, Tomorrow was the day he was going to be assigned to a Squad.

"I guess that's enough for today," Guy said, "Kai, You still have to prepare for tomorrow right?"

"Yes, Guy-sensei but first I'd like to ask you to teach me a new technique, Please," Kai pleaded, "I just want a powerful technique!"

Guy sighed and waved Kai off.

"Your body is far too weak, maybe when you've done this training for a year or so, then I can teach you," Guy said, a bit deflated.

He hated saying No but he had Kai's best interests at heart and Kai knew that too, That's why he planned on increasing his endurance to a stage that Might Guy would actually acknowledge it.

He didn't know how long it would take or what squad he would be assigned to but he still planned on taking the same training practices with Might Guy as well as do some himself, Being talented didn't mean he wouldn't cultivate his talent.

Kai nodded and bowed before jumping into the air and landing atop a tree.

"Goodbye Guy-sensei, I shall go and prepare for tomorrow," Kai said and then leapt into the air, landing atop another tree before speeding forward, jumping from tree to tree with grace.

'At least this isn't a Cultivation world,' Kai thought, 'I never really understood the logic behind those kind of worlds,'

It's the Author here with an Important Author note, What Team am I going to put Kai in? I don't know if I should put him in Team 7 but putting him there would mean I had to remove Sayuri from the list!
