One Step Closer

Konoha:

Four years after Nine Tails Rampage.

In one of orphanage in Konoha,

In a room one middle aged man with black hair and black eyes with average face is sitting with serious expression.Opposite to him is an old man with white hair and black eyes is sitting relaxed.The middle aged man is owner of orphanaged named Shinohara Kayo and the old man in front of him is Kataoka Katsumi.Kayo questions the old man,"Are you seriously planning to take him with you?"

"Do you think I have free time to joke with you about this? And I am just taking away my grandson so it isn't like there is much problem." Replied Katsumi with slightly serious face. Kayo said,"Where were you four years ago then if you care about him?"."I had other work." Katsumi replied.Kayo looked at Katsumi in eyes seriously and seeing no change in his demeanor sighed tiredly and said, "Well I will let you talk with him and whether you manage to convince him is your problem." "Ok. Let's go already."Katsumi said while standing with anticipation in his eyes. And they both walked outside. They come in front of room and seeing the door unlocked they walked inside.

Ryu's Pov

I was again reading this book while daydrea.. sorry visualising different things when the door to my room opened.Well i haven't locked it so It will open right?And from the door An old man with white hair and black eyes came with Uncle Kayo.The old man looked excited about something while uncle looked a little serious."Do you need me for anything uncle?"I asked him after he came inside."Well he is your grandfather and he appeared to adopt you so I cane with him.He is also retired ninja and I hope you go with him as he will take care of you better than here."I was shocked to hear this as I didn't think I had any relative and even if there were as noone came i forgot about it two years ago.So it was shocking to say the least.I looked at old man seriously for the first time and I can finally notice his pecularities as I took a proper look.The way he walks while sharply looking at everything and analysing was definitely something only ninja will do.He smirked a little feeling my attention on him and I don't know why I feel annoyed at it."Well let me introduce myself first.My name is Kataoka Katsumi and you can call me grandpa.Well I am sorry for not being there when you were born as I was outside the village and didn't have news of anything."said the old man who now I know is named Katsumi.Well I should introduce first,"My name is Ryu Tatsuya.I am four years old and my hobby is anything that interest's me.As for coming with you can I ask you questions?" "Well of course ask whatever you want I will answer to the best of my capabilities." Well what should I ask first let's see."What can you provide me that I can't get here and don't mention basic necessities they won't sway me in agreeing."He smiled a little and uncle Kayo also look interested then he said,"Well if you want to become ninja then I will teach you everything there is that I know but it will depend on you if you learn it or not.And don't underestimate it as I have vast collection for measurement I can tell you it won't be any less than academy and will be much more.So have you made decision?" while looking proud.Well it got me interested.I was always fascinated with how ninja used jutsu to produce magical effect and now that I can learn i will definitely go with him.I don't have much attachment to this orphanage I only care about uncle Kayo and only because he took care of me and I will definitely return favour to him later. "Deal." I told him and he has expression like 'I thought so' which annoyed me.Uncle kayo also looked happy and said to me" if there is any problem don't be afraid to come here.And remember this will always be your home.""Yes uncle!"I said while hugging him.

Katsumi's Pov

I was away from village while trapped in ruins of warring era for four years and only escaped half year ago.I only survived due to my strength and experience and my adequate preparation of food.Even I thought I was goner but I was lucky enough to escape.After coming out I heard that Nine tails rampaged inside village I was very worried about my daughter Izumy and son-in-law Oh inside the village.After I came to village I heard that they both died that night.I was overcome with grief at losing my only daughter but after that I heard they had child one month old so I inquired and fount out he was in orphanage of my son-in-law's friend.The after some talk i finally come to look at him.He was sitting at bed while reading book and seemed relaxed.He had mysterious aura like nothing fazes him and his eyes were icy blue looking like they can see through everything.First he talk with Kayo then finding my reason he quickly looked at me.I felt naked in front of his gaze but the feeling disappeared quickly so I stopped paying attention.He looked excited when I told him I could teach him to be ninja and I deduced he will definitely come with me as orphanage can't prepare him for anything of it.And as I thought he agreed though he looked annoyed at me.Don't know why he is annoyed though.maybe i saw wrong.

Ryu's Pov.

We came outside orphanage after saying goodbye to kid's uncle called well i don't care about them.It isn't like i hate them it's just i think they are too stupid.It feels boring to play with them so I just spent my time reading books in orphanage.Anyway while looking at old man i asked,"Hey old man,where are we going?And When will you teach me to be ninja?".He looked annoyed at me then said snappily,"First don't call me old man.Call me grandpa or I won't teach you.And first we will eat then sleep first.Tommorow morning I will test you and see if you are ready." "Okay geez,I will call you grandpa.Happy!""Yup.You should have called earlier."He said while laughing.I just looked at him with annoyed look which made him laugh more.I noticed people looking at us so I dragged him then he led me towards our home.After Half hour we arrived at his house.It is simple house built Japanese styled with one floor.in backyard there is garden and free land which I think will be our training ground.He just led me through houses while cooking dinner afterwards.After that he told me to sleep so I got to my room.Looking outside window at the night sky at star my eyes shone with mysterious light and i couldn't help but think'looks like boring life will be coming to an end.And I am one step closer to uncovering my mysteries.'And I closed my eyes on my bed.
